Hogwarts: Becoming the White Lord from Breathing
Chapter 25 The Disappearance of Damon
Chapter 25 The Disappearance of Damon
After two consecutive Potions classes, Damon welcomed his first weekend at Hogwarts.
He decided to spend all his time in the Room of Requirement, improving himself through intensive, continuous spell practice.
Although many times the spell seemed to be completely idealistic, Damon still believed that hard practice could bring strength, not to mention that he had excellent talent. He could feel significant changes almost every day after training.
In order to avoid interrupting his state by going back and forth, he went to the elf's kitchen and brought some dry bread, jam and milk. He also specifically told Neville that he had something to do on Saturday night and would not return to the dormitory, and asked Harry and Ron not to make a fuss or worry.
There was a consideration in choosing to talk to Neville. Neville has a gentle personality and can best meet his needs.
Damon doesn't like to force others.
At present, Hermione is completing her grand plan of reading all the books in the library. It will not be until after Christmas that she will have time to act as Harry and Ron's military advisor.
Hermione now has no extra energy to pay attention to other things.
In fact, this is quite similar to Damon, but Damon's goal is to quickly become strong enough to protect himself from Voldemort and Dumbledore, and then slowly surpass them.
As for Ron and Harry, they were extremely undisciplined. They would just wander around the castle all day, chatting with other little wizards, or playing wizard chess in the common room, fully releasing their childish nature.
At this time, tell them, oh, I found a great place to practice spells. Do you want to practice spells with me for several hours?
Perhaps these two people would do the same for Damon's sake, but he didn't want to do so, nor did he bother to do so.
Although he sympathized with Harry's situation, that didn't mean he would push Harry around, let alone Ron.
Damon will only share this secret with them when the two of them truly want to change and work hard.
Then, Ron and Harry suddenly discovered that after entering the short vacation, Damon disappeared.
From lunch on Friday until dinner on Sunday, they didn't see Damon again.
Whether inside the castle, outside the castle, the Black Lake, or the library.
They even went on a special search for this reason - Harry was invited by Hagrid to visit his cabin, and he wanted to bring Damon with him, but unfortunately he couldn't find him.
In Hagrid's hut, he found a small piece of paper under the teapot warmer. It was a report cut out of the Daily Prophet about the theft at Gringotts. Harry instinctively felt that there was something wrong, but when he raised the question, Hagrid just laughed it off.
At night, the two found that Damon had not returned after curfew and were a little worried. At this time, Neville, who had been informed by Damon in advance, explained, which made Ron shout directly:
"What on earth is Damon going to do? He's actually going to go out at night and violate the rules?"
Harry was also a little surprised, but at the same time, he felt a faint yearning in his heart.
The four little wizards stayed up late at night and made many guesses about where Damon had gone, but they had no clue.
The next day, the little wizards who had slept until their butts were exposed to the sun finally got up and found that Damon still had not returned.
Harry told Hermione about this while she was in the common room, and Hermione looked obviously surprised.
"He went out for a night out? And didn't come back all night?"
Her face was full of surprise. After all, in her impression, Damon was not such a reckless person.
Even though she was still angry with Harry and Ron, she couldn't help but ask:
"Where is he now?"
"I don't know. In fact, he hasn't come back all day, and we can't find him now. But - Neville said that Damon told him about this before he left, and asked us not to worry." Hermione's brows relaxed slightly when she heard this, picked up the book, stood up, and said to Harry:
"Damon is a steady man. Since he said so, he must be doing something very important.
Maybe he went to Professor McGonagall's office to learn Transfiguration. Aren't Professor Flitwick and Professor McGonagall both very optimistic about him? Maybe they will have other arrangements for Daemon. You and I don't need to worry.
"You." Hermione paused.
"Me?" Harry asked confused.
"Yes, you, Harry, I haven't seen you do any homework all week. Today is Saturday, are you going to continue wasting your time on irrelevant and boring things?
I warn you in advance that Professor McGonagall's Transfiguration paper is not going to be easy."
Harry was a little nervous when he heard this, and hesitantly said:
"I-I'm going to do it today."
"Really? But I don't mean to force you."
Hermione raised her head, carried the book and went straight to the library.
Ron, who had been silent until Hermione left, finally spoke:
"The tone of her voice almost made me think she was a mother scolding her ignorant child."
"Stop it, Ron. I think Hermione is right. We should do our homework too."
"Even though it's only Saturday today—it's not a bad thing to finish early."
The two smiled at each other with a relaxed attitude.
But it wasn't until six hours into the dinner that they realized how naive their thinking had been.
In a full six hours, they only completed three herbal medicine papers - they didn't learn very well in class, not to mention that their attitude was a bit too casual when doing the homework.
When they thought about the fact that they still had five papers that were no less than six inches long, and Professor McGonagall's exaggerated two-foot Transfiguration homework, their expressions suddenly turned ugly.
"Are we going to have to stay up late to do homework tonight?"
Listening to Ron's scream, Harry pursed his lips, and thought of the possibility Ron described, and his mood became heavy.
Ron saw his expression and obviously understood what he meant. He stammered, "
"Oh my god! I haven't finished my homework in the first week of school. If my mom finds out—no, it's not over yet!" Ron looked at Harry. "We can borrow other people's homework! Neville, Seamus, they must have done it!"
"You mean—copying someone else's?"
"Relax, man. This is just a guide—just think of it as the last time. We were too careless this time and underestimated the difficulty of the assignment. Once we get through this difficult time, we will be able to do it on our own, right?"
"Y-yes, you're right!"
Harry nodded affirmatively, and the two of them quickly found Neville and Seamus, and then the expressions on their faces became even more exciting.
"You haven't finished yet!"
