Chapter 114: Kill the Buddha if you meet him, and kill the ancestors if you meet them
After Qianqian left, the room remained silent. After an unknown amount of time, Ba Fenghan exhaled a breath of foul air and said with an extremely complicated expression:
"Only now do I realize how lucky I was that day to have escaped death from this man's hands."
He suddenly shook his head:
"No, I should be extremely grateful that my martial arts skills are so low that I'm not worthy of his high regard."
"So, don't think about standing in front of your mentor with dignity in the future. I'm afraid you will not be able to stand there but to return alive." Kou Zhong patted Ba Fenghan's shoulder.
A hint of bitterness appeared on Xu Ziling's lips:
"That makes perfect sense. If possible, Xiaozhong and I would like to never appear before our mentor again."
Three days later, outside the city, in the southern suburbs.
On a hillside, a young man in blue shirt looked far to the south at a magnificent temple located on a small hill.
After a while, a group of masters with concentrated aura came over, and the one leading the way was Kankan.
"Master Qingzhai, this is my master, Zhu Yuyan, the leader of the Yinkui Sect."
She gestured to the young man in blue to a slender, veiled woman beside him.
She wore her hair in a high bun, and even though her beautiful face could not be seen, her elegant and graceful demeanor could be felt.
"Master Qingzhai, my sect is divided into three levels: Heaven, Earth, and Human. The martial arts they teach are also completely different. They are distinguished by their robes: white for Heaven, black for Earth, and yellow for Human."
"Only disciples granted the title of Heavenly White have the opportunity to glimpse the secret techniques of the Heavenly Demon. Apart from my own disciples, only the elder-level masters in the sect have received this honor."
"And I have already executed half of the disciples in the sect, and even several elders."
After saying that, Kanan stepped forward and opened the black packages in her hands, only to see three heads revealed.
Zhu Yuyan pointed at the head of an old man with gray hair and a sinister expression:
"This is my uncle-in-law. He holds a very high position in the sect, second only to me and Kankan. His name is Bi Shouxuan."
She pointed to a handsome, gray-haired, and elegant middle-aged man.
"This is my junior fellow apprentice Mo Yin Bian Bu Fu."
Then pointing to a charming, mature and beautiful head:
"My sect's elder is Wen Caiting, who specializes in seductive magic and illusion techniques."
The young man in blue shirt still looked at the magnificent temple in the distance and said nonchalantly:
"Sect Master Zhu is truly a heroine. She is more decisive and ruthless than more than 90% of the men in the world. I can feel the sincerity of the Yinkui Sect in rejecting evil and promoting good."
"Everything is for the sake of sect inheritance. We have no choice but to do this." Zhu Yuyan replied.
"Whether it's the righteous path or the devilish path, it's human nature to seek benefits and avoid harm. Do you think the people of the Pure Mind Zen sect would be as well-behaved and obedient as you are?"
"According to Kanan, those old monks, knowing full well that they are no match for Master Qingzhai, just want to persuade you to lay down your butcher knives and turn back." Kanan spoke softly.
"Oh, really? Then come with me and take a look."
The young man in blue was suddenly surrounded by clouds and mist, and floated towards the magnificent temple.
Zhu Yuyan and others' pupils trembled. It is said that seeing is believing. Today, they felt that it was true. The other three Yinkui elders suddenly felt that their sect leader was very wise. How could they be able to defeat such an inhuman being?
Several people immediately jumped up and quickly followed.
After a while, the young man in blue shirt landed confidently on the white jade square which was a hundred feet wide. Zhu Yuyan and others jumped up and down and came behind him.
Zhuang Bu Ran did not wait for the monks around him to react and said loudly:
"The head of Xinjingzhai, Qingjingyuan, has come to the temple to pay his respects. He has invited Master Kong and the four holy monks to come out and meet him."
As the sound continued to echo in the temple, five or six hundred monks with shallow internal skills suddenly had expressions of pain on their faces, blood flowing from the corners of their mouths, and with a "thump", they fell to the ground one after another and could not get up.
When the Yinkui Sect and others saw this, their breathing stopped and they couldn't help but feel scared.
The blue-shirted boy glanced sideways:
"I just destroyed their meridians and dispersed their true energy, so that they could behave like monks. I think I didn't do anything excessive."
"Master Qingzhai is indeed a person who practices the Way of Heaven. He is truly too kind." Wan Wan said with a smile:
"If it were Kankan, with your strength, she would definitely go on a killing spree and send all these annoying monks to see the Buddha."
As soon as she finished speaking, monks came out from the main hall behind the bronze temple one after another with their hands folded. Each of them looked solemn, as if they were facing a great enemy.
A total of 232 monks, young and old, were neatly lined up in more than ten rows at the entrance of the main hall. They moved without making any sound, not even the sound of their breathing, which clearly showed that they all had relatively deep internal skills.
Four tall and burly monks wearing blue robes, holding Zen sticks weighing more than 100 pounds, stood at the four corners.
A tall and handsome monk, less than forty years old, led four old monks out of the bronze temple and stood at the top of the white stone steps leading to the temple.
The handsome monk in the lead had a slender and elegant figure, and his bright face had a kind of transcendental divine light. His demeanor was neither weak nor condescending, but rather made people feel comfortable and natural. He was none other than Liaokong, the master of the Pure Nian Zen sect.
The old monk, with a tall and thin figure, a gaunt face, eyes as deep as the abyss, white eyebrows drooping on his cheeks, and the demeanor of a detached wise man, is the leader of the four great holy monks and the leader of the Three Treatise School, Master Jiaxiang.
The old monk, towering like a mountain, holding a Zen staff, with hair and beard like a spear and a gaze as sharp as lightning, possessing a commanding presence without even getting angry, is Emperor Xin of the Huayan School. The old monk with a kind face, a slightly plump figure, eyes as clear as a baby, holding a rosary, is Master Zhihui, the patriarch of the Tiantai School.
The old monk with a long gray beard, casual clothes, and a lazy look as if he is playing in the world is Master Daoxuan of the Zen Buddhism.
The boy in blue shirt spoke lazily:
"Haha, our Buddhist sect has a profound foundation. Apart from all the masters, this group of monks alone can form a group of monk soldiers that can charge into the battlefield as if they were in an empty space."
Liao Kong's eyes were deep and unfathomable, and he put his hands together and said:
"Amitabha, Jingyuan, you have a deep Buddhist heart and Buddha nature, why do you have a discriminatory mind and let your obsession become so strong?"
"With your natural talent and understanding, if you practice diligently, you will eventually become the first disciple of Cihang Jingzhai to transcend life and death and shatter the void."
"Today, you are actually associating with the devil. You are willing to fall into depravity. If you don't turn back, there will definitely be disastrous consequences."
As soon as the words fell, Kanan said with a smile:
"Master Qingzhai, I guessed correctly, right? I knew that the old monk of the Pure Nian Zen sect would say this."
"Master Liaokong actually broke my silent meditation for me today." The young man in blue shirt smiled and said:
"Do you know why I like to wear blue shirts?"
He didn't wait for Kong's reply and said to himself:
"Blue is not a primary color, but a mixed color. The so-called primary colors refer to the five colors of blue, white, black, red, and yellow. From ancient times to the present, primary colors have been more noble than mixed colors."
"Especially the great monks of Buddhism, who often wear solid colors. For example, you wear a yellow-brown robe, while the four holy monks wear white and black robes."
"Master Liaokong said that I had developed a discriminating mind, but the blue shirt I was wearing showed that I was willing to lower my status and position, and was willing to be in a low position, to be commanded by sentient beings."
"Now, upholding justice and repelling evil, restoring order, is to obey the will of Heaven and spread the good way."
Zhuang Bu Ran stretched out his hand to smooth his temples, a hint of mockery appearing on his brows:
"Furthermore, as a person outside the world, I don't shave my head, which makes me different from those fellow disciples who are hypocritical and only love to entertain people with sex."
"Most of them are old and faded, and only then do they claim that their minds are perfect and they can enter the Buddhist monastic life. But I, who do not shave my head, regard all living beings in the world as my parents."
"A thread of attachment, three thousand worlds, a thread of worry, that's how three thousand worries come."
"Three thousand strands of worry are meant to experience the worries of all living beings."
He glanced at the monks:
"Because you are not moved, how can you know the hearts of others? If you are not moved, how can you know the feelings of others? If you do not know the heart and the feelings, how can you save the world?"
“Leaving behind these three thousand strands of worry, observing the suffering of the world, and understanding the worries of all living beings, one can then develop the heart of Bodhi and save those in this world.”
Liaokong shook his head slightly, his eyes filled with compassion, and said:
"Foolish child, since you've become a monk, you should be detached from the world and untainted by it. Yet, you're still attached to it, even causing worry, suffering, anger, and rage. You've fallen into obsession and can't achieve the state of emptiness. How can you even hope to see your true nature?"
The young man in blue clapped his hands and laughed:
"Hahaha, Master, you said that my bright mirror is covered with dust, yet I am so concerned about the universe that I can't wipe it clean. May I ask you masters, in this world, are your bright mirrors also covered with dust that can't be wiped clean?"
Master Daoxin spoke:
"Master Qingzhai, I was deeply moved when I heard your story about the abbot beheading a cat from my teacher Feixuan."
“To do something knowing it’s impossible, yet still doing it, is courageous!”
"Knowing that his disciples have no understanding, yet he still does it. How courageous!"
"Knowing that tomorrow is not up to you, yet you still do it, how courageous!"
"Three courages, three actions. Those who are not normal can do it, but if it spreads out, most people won't learn it, and if they do, it will be like practicing magic."
Venerable Emperor Xin shouted:
"Indeed, I observe the precepts because I fear falling into the evil paths, and I cultivate the Pure Land because I fear the sufferings of the six realms. Your path is like that of a Buddha and a demon. If you cultivate it, you will only harm yourself and others."
"Hahaha, it hurts others and yourself."
The laughter of the young man in blue shirt made all the monks' ears hurt, and those with insufficient internal strength began to tremble uncontrollably.
"How did you all achieve enlightenment through meditation? Haven't you read the Diamond Sutra? This conversation there is so clear, yet you haven't understood anything at all."
"Subhuti, what do you think? Can I see the Tathagata in person?"
"No, World-honored One, one cannot see the Tathagata with the physical form."
"Why? The body-image spoken of by the Tathagata is not the body-image."
"The Buddha told Subhuti, 'All appearances are false. If you see all appearances as non-appearances, you will see the Tathagata.'"
His eyes moved and he said calmly:
"Thus, if you wish to gain a proper understanding of the Dharma, do not be misled by others. Look inward and outward, and kill whatever you encounter."
"When you meet a Buddha, kill the Buddha; when you meet an ancestor, kill the ancestor; when you meet an Arhat, kill the Arhat; when you meet your parents, kill your parents; when you meet your relatives, kill your relatives."
"Only in this way can one attain liberation, be free from the constraints of worldly things, and be free and at ease."
The tone of the blue-shirted young man's voice seemed to contain the sound of metal clashing. Every time he uttered the word "kill", more than 20 to 30 of the 200 monks would cry out in pain and fall to the ground.
After he finished speaking, only Kong and the four holy monks were left standing there with pale faces.
