Hogwarts: Don't call me Wandmaker
Chapter 304 Cheating
Chapter 304 Cheating
"How are you, Harry?"
After a brief moment of surprise, Charlie ignored the noisy Fred and George beside him and stepped forward to extend his hand to Harry.
Bill then walked over, smiling, and shook hands with Harry.
It was clear that Harry was very surprised by Bill's outfit; his mouth was agape and he couldn't close it for a while.
However, Siron was not surprised at all; even he was taken aback when he first met Bill.
To be honest, Bill's distinctive outfit didn't look like a wizard at all; he looked more like a trendy Muggle rock musician. It's understandable that Harry was surprised.
After everyone introduced themselves, the argument between Mr. Weasley and the twins finally ended when the door was opened.
It was clear that although he was angry with Fred and George, he had no intention of telling Mrs. Weasley about it.
“What happened?” Bill asked.
“Fred… or maybe George dropped a candy on purpose,” Harry said. “My cousin Dudley picked it up and ate it, and his tongue suddenly grew to four feet long.”
“Fat Tongue Toffee,” Fred said, walking over at that moment. “George and I invented it, and we’ve been wanting to find someone to try it out…”
"It looks like it's working amazingly well now," George said with a grin.
Harry smiled too.
This was the first time Sirius Black had genuinely laughed since the first hearing had reached a stalemate.
He knew perfectly well that Fred and George were doing this to vent his anger, because he had gone hungry quite a bit during the entire holiday because of Dudley.
Just like with Siron before him, Harry was also shown around the Burrow by Ron.
Although it wasn't his first time there, he didn't refuse Ron's offer, and Hermione and Ginny went along with him.
Celen stayed in the yard and continued chatting with Bill and Charlie about what they had just discussed.
“I’m actually quite envious of you guys. This event hasn’t been held for many years,” Bill said, his eyes shining. “I might take a day off to watch part of it.”
“I don’t need to ask for leave.” Charlie’s expression was slightly smug.
But he quickly realized something and subconsciously glanced at Xilun.
"As for why, please forgive me for not being able to say... It concerns the Three Kingdoms Tournament, and absolute secrecy is required until the truth is revealed."
“Didn’t you already finish speaking?” Xilun looked at him and lowered his voice. “You were able to watch the Triwizard Tournament without asking for leave, which means it was official business, and you work in the Fire Dragon Reserve.”
"So, the Fire Dragon event is one of the events in this Triwizard Tournament, right?"
"You, you..." Charlie froze on the spot, stammering and unable to speak.
A few seconds later, he slapped his mouth in frustration.
"Please..." Charlie grinned, forcing a fawning smile, "Don't tell anyone, or I'm finished."
"Don't worry, it definitely won't happen," Xilun said.
Charlie breathed a slight sigh of relief and said, "I must have been too relaxed at home to make such a basic mistake."
He glanced at Xilun again. "Now I suddenly don't want you to become a warrior anymore, otherwise I'll become an accomplice in helping you cheat."
His words were tantamount to an indirect admission that a fire dragon would indeed appear in the three-way battle for supremacy.
“You don’t need to worry about this at all.” Xiren raised an eyebrow. “Cheating has always been a tradition in the Triwizard Tournament. As long as you don’t get caught, it’s fine.”
Bill and Charlie exchanged a glance and smiled noncommittally.
This is indeed true.
Even before the news of the Triwizard Tournament has been officially announced, the two of them have already revealed information about the Sphinx and the Fire Dragon to Xilun.
If the final chosen warrior happens to be someone they know well, they will definitely reveal even more.
"Go for it, Celia," Bill said. "Although the Triwizard Tournament will face unimaginable dangers, the honors they can gain are equally unimaginable." "Don't mind what Charlie said earlier. If you want to become a warrior, we'll definitely support you."
“That’s right,” Charlie nodded in agreement. “If you’re thinking about it.”
Xilun simply smiled and remained silent.
Some things are too early to draw conclusions. We'll have to wait until after school starts to discuss everything.
“It seems you really have this idea.” Bill looked Xilun up and down and said, “But to become a warrior, you must have great strength, otherwise it’s a dead end.”
“I think we need to put you through a test,” Charlie said from the side.
"What test?" he asked.
The two exchanged a smile and simultaneously took out their wands.
……
After Harry had walked around the Burrow and was about to come out to help set up the tables and chairs, he saw three dilapidated old tables flying in the air above the garden outside, colliding with each other, each table trying to knock the other two down.
Oh, no...
Upon closer inspection, they realized that there were two tables, but one of them had been split in the middle.
Go Xilun!
"Don't lose to them!"
Fred and George cheered them on from the sidelines.
Harry then noticed that it was Sheron, Bill, and Charlie who were manipulating the tables with their wands.
Ginny laughed heartily, and even Mr. Weasley, who had just come out to pick a few potatoes, watched with great interest for a while.
"Are they that familiar already?" Harry asked in surprise.
He had just met Bill and Charlie today and was a little embarrassed to talk to them, but he didn't expect that Celen could already get along with them like old friends.
“They knew each other before,” Ron explained. “Shillon and Charlie met two years ago, and Bill too… You must have received a gift from Shillon as well.”
Harry nodded.
About a week ago, an owl delivered a package containing an exquisite pyramid model and a coaster embroidered with some kind of magical creature.
Its body is that of a giant lion, but it has the head of a human.
Harry flipped through the book and learned that it was called a Sphinx, a magical creature unique to Egypt.
“That’s when they met,” Ron said, muttering under his breath, “Bill worked in Egypt for so long, and I never received a souvenir from him!”
Harry didn't know what to say about his complaints.
Fortunately, the "battle" ended at this time.
With a loud bang, the three tables collided, and the immense force shattered the already flimsy tables, causing all five table legs to fall from mid-air.
Ginny clapped excitedly and screamed.
In her opinion, this was even more interesting than Quidditch.
But the commotion here also reached the humble dwelling.
A second-floor window was pushed open, and a messy head popped out, yelling at the crowd, "Can you all keep your voices down!"
