Hogwarts: Don't call me Wandmaker
Chapter 305 Departure
Chapter 305 Departure
The lively atmosphere gradually came to an end with Percy's roar.
The three of them guided the tables with their wands, allowing them to land steadily on the grass. With a light tap, the broken table legs were returned to their original positions. Bill even conjured up beautiful Egyptian-style tablecloths for each table.
"How were the test results?" Siren asked.
“Yes, you passed the test,” Bill said seriously.
But in fact, they were just playing around; Bill and Charlie were hitting the table even harder.
Or rather, while Bill and Charlie supported Celen, they didn't believe he could truly become a warrior.
Just like if you told them now that Harry would become a champion, they would take it as a joke.
Because in previous Triwizard Tournaments, the Warriors have always been selected from sixth and seventh graders, with almost no fifth graders, let alone fourth graders.
Therefore, in their view, the process of participating is more important than the result of becoming a warrior.
The group played for a while longer.
At seven o'clock, both tables were filled with delicious dishes prepared by Mrs. Weasley.
Harry's eyes lit up with envy.
Because of Dali's weight loss plan, he was forced to eat grapefruit and dry bread for more than a month, and each meal consisted of only a pitiful little piece. He has survived until now almost entirely thanks to snacks sent by his friends.
When dinner started, all he could see were the chicken, ham pies, and boiled potatoes; he didn't even bother to talk.
And then there was Xilun, who also rarely had a normal meal without so much garlic, and he immediately began to eat heartily.
At the other end of the table, Percy was telling Mr. Weasley about his work on the crucible bottom thickness report.
“I told Mr. Crouch that I could finish it on Tuesday…”
Xilun felt that his tone of voice was somewhat familiar, as if he had heard it somewhere before.
He finally remembered it when he heard "Mr. Crouch" for the seventh time.
At the Egyptian Ministry of Magic, there was a staff member who was a fanatical follower of Barty Crouch, whose name appeared at least twice in every three sentences.
It's clear that although that incident was a huge blow to Barty Crouch, his reputation still far surpasses that of the Minister of Magic.
At least I've never seen anyone worship Cornelius Fudge like that... Umbridge doesn't count; she doesn't worship Fudge, she worships power.
Then the group started talking about Ludo Bagman, the Director of the Department of Physical Education and Sports at the Ministry of Magic, and a former star Quidditch player from England.
This time, Siron listened with extra attention, but unfortunately, Mr. Weasley didn't reveal any useful information. He only knew that his brother had recently gotten into trouble, giving a lawnmower a lot of special abilities.
Then the conversation gradually returned to Quidditch, and everyone started discussing their favorite teams and famous players.
At this point, Xilun had little say.
He barely watches Quidditch matches at school, let alone professional ones.
The only players he knew were Viktor Krum and Lynch, the Irish Seeker who had been tricked twice by him.
However, with these two names, he can at least chat with everyone, unlike Hermione who can't say a word.
Hermione really didn't know any professional Quidditch players.
Night fell. Mr. Weasley conjured a candle and lit up the darkened yard.
After everyone finished enjoying the desserts, they continued chatting until late at night before finally returning to their humble abode.
The bed Fred conjured was so hard it hurt, so Celen had to conjure up a thick mattress on top, which made it much better.
Although this transformation is temporary and will soon return to its original state, it is just enough for this purpose.
In order to catch the key, they didn't get much sleep and were all woken up. Mrs. Weasley got up even earlier and had prepared porridge and sandwiches for them in advance.
But something unexpected happened while I was having breakfast.
"George!" Mrs. Weasley suddenly snapped, startling everyone.
She discovered that George had hidden in his pocket the candy and other trinkets he planned to take to the Quidditch World Cup to sell.
"I told you to destroy all of this, and you promised me!" she shouted angrily, waving her wand as toffee sprang out from every corner.
Fred and George were almost in despair, and could only look helplessly at Siron, begging him for help.
Well, who told Siren to see wand stickers and coloring spray among those gadgets?
As a partner, he simply couldn't bear to stand by and watch someone die.
“I’m sorry, Mrs. Weasley, those are actually mine.” Celen pulled a toffee from his pocket, “but my pockets were full of other things, so I asked them to bring some for me.”
Mrs. Weasley stopped moving.
She didn't actually believe Celen's explanation. After all, she had found an order form in the twins' room before Celen came to visit.
But Sirren was a guest... and since he said that, Mrs. Weasley couldn't very well pretend she hadn't heard him.
“It’s true,” Siren said again. “Those wand stickers and color-changing sprays are byproducts from the wand shop.”
Mrs. Weasley glanced at the pile of things and found that there were indeed a few stickers among them.
“I’m sorry, dear, I thought it was them…” Mrs. Weasley said, then found a bag and packed all the things in.
……
“Thank you, Celen.” Fred said sincerely as he left the Burrow. “I don’t even know what would have happened without your help.”
“Don’t be too happy yet, Mrs. Weasley isn’t completely convinced yet,” Siron said.
“How could that be?” George shook his head and said, “Last time he found the order in our room, he threw a huge tantrum, but he didn’t say anything just now. He must have believed it.”
"Then why didn't she return the things to me?" Xilun spread his hands.
After Mrs. Weasley packed up all the trinkets, she casually placed them on the table next to her.
She didn't hand the things over to Xilun until everyone went out to look for the door key.
Shelen didn't think she had forgotten because she was busy. She had managed to keep all seven Weasley children in good order, so how could she possibly make a mistake on such a small matter?
The only explanation is that she knew Xilen was helping out and didn't want to offend her guest, so she said that on purpose.
Thinking about this, Celen felt a little embarrassed. She realized she shouldn't have been so soft-hearted as to help the twins deceive Mrs. Weasley.
Reminded by Siron, Fred and George also realized this, and their hearts, which had just been at ease, were on edge again.
"What should I do?"
“At least you can watch the Quidditch match in peace,” Celen said.
"The match is over." The two looked at Xilun with hopeful eyes.
Silen shrugged, indicating that he couldn't help.
"I have to go home after the game."
