Chapter 261 The Dinner Ends

Chapter 261 The Dinner Ends
Compared to Han Yue, Han Xiuwen was clearly less reserved. Upon entering the room and seeing Yan Hui, he immediately gave her a hug.

Yan Hui really gave him a lot of face last time!
Giving someone a pair of shoes is nothing special, but giving your best buddy a pair is incredibly prestigious! What young man could resist such a temptation!

"Brother Yan, I told my dad about what happened last time. He didn't scold me and even told me to learn more from you, but I don't know what I should learn." Han Xiuwen said with some confusion.

His father asked him about Yan Hui giving him the shoes, but only asked briefly and didn't scold him. This shows that his father felt it was acceptable for Yan Hui to give him something.

“You’re still young. The key thing right now is to study hard. Math and physics are very important.” Yan Hui didn’t think Han Xiuwen needed to learn anything from him.

"Brother Yan, do you understand physics? I just started junior high school, and the physics teacher my dad found for me keeps making me do problems, but physics is really hard!" Han Xiuwen said helplessly. "I couldn't understand what he was teaching me today."

"Physics?" Yan Hui thought for a moment. "My physics level is only about that of a first-year high school student. I didn't do well in electromagnetism and optics in the second year. But, do you have physics classes in your middle school now?"

"No, my dad made me learn it ahead of time." Han Xiuwen had a headache.

"At this point, the key is to be interested in physics. Look at Newton, wasn't it because an apple fell on his head that he started doing physics?" Yan Hui said.

"So, if I hit myself on the head with an apple, will I suddenly get it?"

“How is that possible? We see this phenomenon, we know about gravity, we… um… come with me.” Yan Hui pointed outside.

Han Xiuwen put on his coat and followed Yan Hui out of the house.

An Audi was parked at the entrance. Yan Hui was quite familiar with this car: "You've ridden in this car before, haven't you? Why do you think it's moving?"

"It can run because it has fuel," Han Xiuwen explained.

"Then why does the oil make the car run?" Yan Hui asked again.

"I heard the driver tell me that the car has an engine that needs to be supplied with gasoline, and then the engine can run after it has consumed the gasoline."

"There's nothing wrong with that. Look here, this is the fuel tank, and it contains gasoline. The gasoline is transported to the engine through pipes, and then some gasoline mist is sprayed out through nozzles. Then, the gasoline is ignited by electricity, and it undergoes internal combustion in this engine," Yan Hui began his explanation.

Back then, Brother Shan had taught him a lot about cars, and he then explained it to Han Xiuwen again, incorporating physics principles.

Mechanics, mechanical transmission, combustion, internal combustion engine, electricity, air conditioning.
Aside from gasoline combustion and battery charging/discharging, which are chemical reactions, almost everything else is physical.

Yan Hui became more and more detailed in his explanation, while Han Xiuwen, being at the age where curiosity was at its peak, kept asking questions, which Yan Hui answered one by one.

At the lumber mill, Yan Hui studied mechanical transmission and motors; at Xinhua Bookstore, he studied high school physics for a long time; and at Brother Shan's place, he learned some knowledge about automobiles.

In short, Yan Hui wasn't exactly an expert, but he was more than capable of answering Han Xiuwen's questions.

"No wonder car tires are like that, they need friction!" Han Xiuwen found it more and more interesting as he listened.

This is much more interesting than doing math problems!
"Yes, and we just talked about it. Forces are reciprocal. When a car pushes backward, it exerts a backward force on the ground, and the ground then exerts a forward force on the car, which is why it can move forward." Yan Hui wasn't sure if his explanation was accurate, but that was the gist of it. The two chatted for over half an hour, and even President Han came to see them personally.

"What are you two talking about?" President Han was quite pleased to see this.

"Dad! What Yan-ge told me is all physics! The teacher didn't teach any of that!" Han Xiuwen ran over excitedly.

"What did they talk about?" President Han asked with great interest.

"He talked about the car's power supply, fuel system, internal combustion engine, air conditioning, tire pressure, and friction!" Han Xiuwen had just finished listening, and this was the time when his memory was at its best.

"You've learned a lot!" President Han patted his son's head and looked at Yan Hui. "Come back quickly, it's time to eat."

“Hmm,” Yan Hui walked over and said to President Han, “President Han, I have a small suggestion. I think that Xiuwen is so old, when learning physics, he shouldn’t rush to do problems, but should start by cultivating an interest in physics.”

"The tutor I found for you has already helped you with the problems?" Mr. Han asked his son.

"Yeah, he told me that doing more practice problems is better than anything else." Han Xiuwen looked aggrieved. "If everyone said it like Brother Yan, I would have learned it long ago!"

"Okay, I understand. I'll change it for you later." Mr. Han nodded.

The three of them went inside together. Yan Hui then took out the gift he had prepared, called Han Xiuwen aside, and said, "This is a gift from my friend. I think it's quite interesting. It's a watch that can play MP3 songs. Didn't I just tell you? Go back and study how this thing works, and tell me about it next time."

"Huh? A watch that can play music!" Han Xiuwen's eyes lit up. "Brother Yan, I'll definitely figure it out next time and explain it to you!"

A watch was given to Han by Yan Hui and turned into a teaching tool, which made President Han happy, and Han Xiuwen even happier.

During dinner, the conversation mainly revolved around family matters, with little mention of work. Yan Hui remained mostly silent, simply eating his own food. He would only chat with the others occasionally when President Han mentioned him.

Mr. Han was very tactful; he didn't say things like, "These are my people, please take good care of them," to Mr. Lin or Mr. Ma. Saying such things would be a serious matter. However, his every action proved that Yan Hui and he were very close. Therefore, this meal alone would make things easier for Yan Hui at the construction site, but it would also put more pressure on him.

He must continuously optimize his business processes to ensure profitability while maintaining quality, thus becoming a valuable assistant to President Han.

Winter was approaching, and work at the construction site was slowing down. Some subcontracting companies were starting to need funds, so no one drank much. The three of them drank two bottles of baijiu (Chinese liquor) and then went home.

Yan Hui bid farewell to President Han and his family, then rode his motorcycle back to the warehouse.

Yan Hui gained a lot from today's trip. He learned a lot about how to speak and also realized the importance of talent.

During their conversation, the business owners all mentioned their lack of talent. Back in the warehouse, Yan Hui also felt the same way. Years ago, when his business was booming, he had no one to help him and had to ask his third brother for assistance. Now…
Yan Hui was reflecting on the people he knew. There were very few who were truly capable, and most of them already had their own businesses. Currently, in Quancheng, they were only considered useful to Jian Lei.

Fortunately, there's no rush, and we can plan slowly later.
