After the deal was finalized, Yan Hui quickly received the deposit and became quite busy.

The key factor in his ability to receive deposits is his reputation. In the Jinan plywood market, Yan Hui's reputation is now so high that it can be converted into cash.

But since he had taken the job, he still had to guard against potential problems. He was worried that the quality of the timber from General Manager Li's side might be subpar, and if the paper mill was dissatisfied with the timber it received, it would damage Yan Hui's reputation.

He wanted to go to Siyang to take a look, but he couldn't go by himself; it would be somewhat unsafe for him to go alone.

Now he's not working alone anymore; he's brought three salesmen with him: Wang Yongjun, Wang Wei, and Kong Qingwei.

Wang Yongjun could drive, so he acted as Yan Hui's driver on the way, and the two chatted about the plywood business.

Yan Hui's reputation is indeed quite impressive.

Felt and timber sleepers aren't consumables, so Yan Hui never even considered doing that kind of business with Boss Ma. After having dinner at Boss Han's house last time, Yan Hui found a place to get a truckload of good quality goods and sent them to Boss Ma as gifts.

During this period, everyone has been closing deals, and even projects outside of Jian'an Group have attracted many people to Yan Hui.

In the past month or so, Kong Qingwei has been the top seller, selling nearly 1300 pieces of plywood and earning several thousand yuan in commission!

From Quancheng to Siyang, Yan Hui and Wang Yongjun took turns driving, setting off in the morning and arriving at four o'clock in the afternoon.

Since Mr. Li wasn't here, he assigned someone to handle things for Yan Hui, and this person took Yan Hui to the warehouse.

On the streets of Siyang, there were no poplar-related industries to be seen, which was quite different from what Yan Hui had imagined. This place was far different from Tangwanghe, where the forest area gave the impression that more than half of the people relied on timber for their livelihood, and wood was everywhere. But here, it was no different from a non-timber-producing area; it was a relatively quiet and peaceful small county town.

After traversing the city, Yan Hui followed the contact person to the poplar warehouse and factory, where he briefly inspected the goods.

"Are these the raw materials for our plywood?" Wang Yongjun asked after arriving at the location.

"Yes, this is the source of the plywood." Yan Hui nodded and began inspecting the piles of wood. The person in charge was surnamed Yang, and he looked a bit fierce, but Yan Hui had more people on his side, so he was quite confident.

"Do you really need to look at this piece of junk? I'm not going to rip you off!" Brother Yang said impatiently.

"Brother Yang, this batch of goods is a bit too new. The air-drying time is too short, and the paper mill won't like it." Yan Hui asked with some doubt, "Was this just cut?"

"It's logging season, and with such a large and urgent need for this, we'll definitely have to cut it fresh! Otherwise, where would we find so much?" Brother Yang said casually.

"Well, the quality and age of the wood are acceptable, so air-drying shouldn't be a big problem." Yan Hui nodded. "But I need to call the customer to let them know."

"Okay. I'll wait for you for a bit, hurry up!"

Out of a sense of responsibility, Yan Hui called General Manager Zhu and explained the situation.

"That's not a problem, Mr. Yan. You've already arrived in Siyang?" Mr. Zhu was somewhat surprised after hearing Yan Hui's introduction.

"Mr. Zhu, I definitely have to take responsibility for you. Although you will come to inspect the poplar timber in a few days, by then everything will be loaded and ready to go, leaving you with no choice but to comply. I will stay in Siyang for two days and then return to Quancheng. I will also come in advance on the day of shipment and will supervise the entire loading process. If there are any problems with the timber, I will take full responsibility." Yan Hui said calmly.

"I feel much more at ease now that you say that, Mr. Yan! I'll introduce you to a few more clients after this is all over!" Mr. Zhu promised.

"Mr. Zhu, you're too kind. Although this matter is urgent, ensuring quality is what we should do." Yan Hui exchanged a few more pleasantries and then hung up the phone.

"How is it? Is there any problem with this batch of goods?" Brother Yang also heard Yan Hui's words, and he became a little more serious.

“If all the goods are like this, then there’s no problem. Brother Yang, I’ve always been this way of doing things, very meticulous. In any case, this batch of goods can’t have any quality issues. Thank you for your help.” Yan Hui said, handing Brother Yang an envelope.

"Huh?" Brother Yang didn't expect Yan Hui to give him an envelope. He was one of the people in charge here. To be honest, he could decide which pile of goods to load onto the truck. Even though he wasn't the boss, he actually had a lot of power.

He wasn't afraid of anything in his position, so he took the envelope right away. As soon as he squeezed it, he felt a jolt of electricity run through his body. He froze for a few seconds, then closed the envelope: "President Yan, I can tell you're a man of action. Don't worry, I'll definitely keep a close eye on things!"

As soon as Yang left, Yan Hui took out a hygrometer and measured all the wood around him. He wasn't particularly skilled at measuring poplar wood; he couldn't rely on visual inspection like he could with pine wood.

"There's nothing wrong with this batch of goods overall." Yan Hui breathed a sigh of relief.

"When are we going back?" Wang Yongjun asked.

“I’ll go back tomorrow. I’ll feel more at ease after coming here. We need to come back again before we ship the goods next week. I don’t have anything to do tonight, so let’s find a place to stay first.” Yan Hui thought for a moment, “Brother Yang will come over later, and we can ask him where there are good places to stay around here.”
