Being a knight is not easy

Chapter 86 Wizard Council

Chapter 86 Wizard Council
Robin returned to his room, closed the door, and let out a long breath.

He is in a very dangerous situation now.

Although Lina temporarily believed his words, she was obviously wary of him.

Fortunately, I accidentally used those gold coins as ordinary gold coins, which proved my ignorance.

The secret behind those gold coins obviously involved a larger force - neither the Dark Wizard Organization nor the Wizard Council was something he could fight against right now.

"I must improve my strength as soon as possible..." Robin muttered to himself, with a hint of determination in his eyes.

He sat cross-legged on the bed and began to meditate. Since mastering the basic meditation method, his ability to perceive and control magic has improved significantly.

Although he was only a first-class wizard apprentice, he believed that as long as he practiced hard, breaking through to the second-class wizard apprentice would not be an unattainable goal.

During meditation, Robin felt the magic power around him flowing slowly, like an invisible river.

He tried to guide this magic power into his body, gradually increasing his magic power reserves.

As time went by, his consciousness gradually immersed itself in a wonderful state, as if merging with the magic around him.

However, just as he was about to enter a deeper state of meditation, there was a sudden and urgent knock on the door.

"Roy, open the door!" It was Carl's voice, with a hint of anxiety in his tone.

Robin quickly came out of meditation, stood up and opened the door. Carl stood outside the door with a serious expression: "Something happened, Lina is missing!"

Robin's heart tightened: "What's going on?"

Karl shook his head: “I don’t know either. I just went to discuss tomorrow’s itinerary with her, and found that her room was empty, even her luggage was gone.”

Robin frowned, feeling vaguely uneasy. Lina's sudden disappearance was obviously not a coincidence.

He quickly thought of the gold coins and Lina's extreme attitude towards dark wizards.

"Could she have gone to the Wizarding Council?" Robin asked tentatively.

Carl nodded: "It's possible. Lina has always been very sensitive to matters concerning dark wizards. If she thinks those gold coins are related to dark wizards, she will probably report it directly to the Wizard Council."

Robin thought to himself that something was wrong.

If Lina really handed the gold coins to the Wizard Council, his situation would be even more dangerous.

The Wizarding Council is likely to trace the source of the gold coins, and as the holder of the gold coins, he will inevitably be involved.

"We must leave here as soon as possible." Robin whispered, "If the Wizarding Council gets involved, things will become very complicated."

Carl hesitated for a moment, then nodded in agreement: "You're right. We can't delay any longer, let's set off now."

The two quickly packed their bags and quietly left the hotel. In the night, the streets of Blackrock Town seemed particularly deserted.

Robin and Carl moved quickly along the alley, trying to leave the town before the Wizard Council arrived.

However, just as they were about to leave the town, several dark shadows suddenly appeared in front of them, blocking their way.

"Roy Black, you are here after all." A cold voice came.

Robin's heart sank. He looked up and saw several people in black robes staring at him coldly. Their attire and temperament immediately reminded Robin of "Dark Wizards."

"Who are you?" Carl asked warily, his hand already on the hilt of the sword.

The leading black-robed man sneered, "It doesn't matter who we are. What matters is, Roy Black, what you have in your hand is what we want."

Robin's heart tightened, realizing he was referring to the gold coins. He whispered to Carl, "Be careful, these people are not simple."

Carl nodded and drew his sword. "Looks like we'll have to force our way in." The black-robed man waved his hand, and several of his men quickly surrounded him. The battle was about to begin.

Robin quickly entered combat mode, the sword in his hand flashing with cold light.

The battle was extremely fierce. The black-robed man's men were obviously well-trained knights. Their attacks put Robin and Carl in a tough fight.

Although Robin's control over magic has improved and his knight skills have only been raised to the middle stage of knighthood, he still seems powerless when facing the knights trained by wizards.

Just when Robin was forced into a desperate situation by a black-robed knight, suddenly, a blazing fireball flew from the side and knocked the black-robed knight back.

"Roy, stand back!" a familiar voice came.

Robin looked back and found that Lina was standing not far away, with the staff in her hand flashing with dazzling light.

"Lena?" Robin looked at her in surprise.

Lina said coldly: "Don't get me wrong, I'm just here to take back what belongs to the Wizard Council."

Robin's heart sank, knowing that the situation was irreversible. He quickly retreated to Carl's side and whispered, "We have to find a way to get out of this."

Karl nodded, a glint of determination flashed in his eyes: "I'll hold them back, you find a chance to escape."

Robin shook his head: "No, let's go together!"

At this moment, the black-robed man suddenly laughed: "None of you can leave!"

As he finished speaking, more people in black robes suddenly appeared from the darkness around them and surrounded Robin and the others.

Robin gripped the sword tightly in his hand, but felt powerless in his heart.

He was in a desperate situation. Neither the Dark Wizards nor the Wizarding Council would let him go easily.

However, just as he was about to fight to the death, a low roar suddenly came from the sky.

Immediately afterwards, a dazzling light descended from the sky, instantly dispelling the surrounding darkness.

"Who dares to touch my people?" A majestic voice sounded.

Robin looked up and found a middle-aged man in a silver-white robe floating in the air, looking down at the black-robed man below with a cold gaze.

"It's the Grand Wizard of the Wizarding Council!" Lina exclaimed.

The black-robed man's face turned pale in an instant. He gritted his teeth and waved his hand to signal his men to retreat.

Soon, the man in black robe disappeared into the darkness.

Robin breathed a sigh of relief, but felt even more complicated.

He was already certain that he had been drawn into a larger vortex.

Neither the dark wizards nor the Wizarding Council will let him go easily.

The man in the silver-white robe slowly landed on the ground, his eyes swept over Robin and others, and finally stopped on Robin.

"Are you Roy Black?" the man asked.

Robin nodded, his heart filled with caution.

The man smiled slightly, his tone carrying a hint of meaning: "The thing in your hand has caused quite a stir."

Robin's heart tightened, realizing he was referring to the gold coins. He whispered, "I just got them by accident. I don't know where they came from."
