Chapter 258 Strategic Nuclear Weapons

This also proves that the other party's accuracy is amazing; he had really underestimated this patrolman before.

Rafe suddenly thought of the previous investigation. Could someone like that have been able to make a decisive shot at the target in the room in a very short time based on subjective judgment?

Thinking of this, he paused for a moment.

Seeing Rafe frowning in thought, Davis didn't disturb him, but just looked at the projection screen with a hint of interest in his eyes.

It's a waste to put such a talented person as a third-level constable at the West Canyon Police Department; he belongs on a bigger stage.

"Rafe, could you guys do a live simulation?"

Rafe quickly snapped out of his daze, looked at his boss's expectant eyes, and nodded somewhat hesitantly: "Sir! I'll try my best."

That evening, under Davis's deliberate arrangement, some of the top gunmen from the entire Counterterrorism and Special Operations Bureau were summoned to conduct a live simulation.

The result is that while some people can blow up tires and kill enemies like Eric, they can't control the number of bullets. In other words, if Eric blows up a tire with three shots, they have to fire more than a dozen, which seems to be a matter of luck.

This result is truly astonishing.

If we could get this talented person under our control, it would be like the bureau possessing a strategic nuclear weapon.

When faced with a thorny problem, we send out this powerful weapon.

Davis was tempted. Although he had vaguely heard that the Commissioner General seemed to have secretly blocked the FBI's poaching efforts, he was one of their own, so there shouldn't be any problem poaching him, right?
Without hesitation, Davis took all the information and went to the Los Angeles Police Department headquarters to find Chief Superintendent Eisen, who was still on duty.

However, as soon as he opened the door and entered the office, Davis found that the director of the detective department, Ernst Anthony, was also in the office, and the chief inspector, Eswin, was sitting in front of him looking at a report.

"Could this guy be poaching people too?" Davis frowned as he looked at Ernst Anthony, who looked surprised.

Within the Los Angeles Police Department, the Detective Division and the Counterterrorism and Special Operations Division are actually at the same administrative level.

These are all very important departments within the Los Angeles Police Department.

The Counterterrorism and Special Operations Bureau comprises highly specialized and militarized units such as SWAT, Air Force Support Division, Emergency Operations Division, and K-9 Unit.

It can be considered the LAPD's flagship or elite department.

But the Detective Department is equally important, overseeing all detective investigations across the entire bureau, including the Anti-Drug Division, the Robbery and Homicide Division, the Commercial Crime Division, and the Juvenile Division.

It is also a crucial and far-reaching department responsible for managing all subsequent criminal investigations.

Ernst Anthony was one of his strong rivals for the position of Assistant Commissioner of Police.

Aiswin looked up from the report at Davis, a hint of doubt flashing in his eyes.

"Is something wrong?"

Ernst Anthony also looked at Davis, a hint of curiosity flashing in his eyes.

"I have something I want to report to you."

Davis smiled and said, "But it's not a big deal, sir. You can deal with the things at hand first."

Aiswin raised an eyebrow, understanding Davis's meaning, nodded, and began to look at the report in his hand. When he saw Eric's name in the report, he still felt a little uneasy.

He really hadn't expected that this case, which was most suitable for Annie to handle, would also be related to this kid.

After all, the sheer volume of evidence and the public attention generated by today's events make it a good case to implicate Annie in this series of family annihilations.

If possible, Annie could officially appear in the public eye through the news, and I believe the public would really like Annie's type.

However, Aiswin thought about it.

Today seems to be this kid's first day at work, right? This kid is really a bit strange.

He suddenly remembered that Grey had specifically mentioned how unlucky this kid could be, and combined with what had happened to him outside, plus what happened today.

Now he truly understood. After a moment's consideration, Eswin nodded to Ernst Anthony.

"This one will do." He said, handing over the folder.

"Send it to the case reporting room first."

The Los Angeles Police Department is a law enforcement agency responsible only for investigating crimes, arresting suspects, collecting evidence, and then transferring cases to the prosecutorial and judicial authorities.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office is responsible for deciding whether to file charges, on what charges, and ultimately representing citizens in court against the defendant.

Alternatively, the case will be prosecuted by one of the prosecutors in the downtown central branch office of the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

And the prosecutor's assistant will be Annie.

Of course, you have to tell the prosecutor in advance.

“Hmm.” Ernst Anthony took the document, understood, glanced at Davis, and then left the office.

With a click, the door closed.

Eiswin then looked at Davis, who seemed to have relaxed because Ernst had left, and smiled:

"What exactly is it? You can't possibly be reporting to me about what happened on Olympic Avenue today, can you? Davis, if that's the case, I'll be exhausted. This is something you should be handling."

Davis shook his head and handed over the report in his hand: "Sir, please take a look."

"What is this?" Aisven asked curiously, taking the paper and unfolding it to examine it. He then paused, momentarily stunned.

It's Eric Stevens again.

“I think Officer Stevens should be working for the Counterterrorism and Special Operations Bureau, not as a third-level officer at the West Canyon Police Department,” Davis said seriously.

“If he were a member of the Counterterrorism and Special Operations Bureau, his role would be even greater.”

Aiswin didn't speak, but began to read the different report. He had already read the relevant reports about today's events, but this report gave him a much more detailed understanding than the one he had read before.

Nevertheless, Eswin already knew from the FBI that this kid was very capable, so he was not surprised by this result.

Instead, he put away the report and looked at Davis, saying, "Davis, I can't help you. You have to ask Grey's opinion and then ask him what he thinks. Only then can I help you transfer him to the Counterterrorism and Special Operations Bureau."

Davis looked helpless. His men had tried before, but Gray had brushed it off with the excuse that the West Canyon Police Department was short-staffed.

Moreover, although the Counter-Terrorism and Special Operations Bureau has a special status and position in the various precincts, in reality, it is similar to the Detective Bureau in terms of administrative level.

Therefore, he didn't have the authority to bypass Grey, a woman with a powerful background, and forcibly poach Eric from his grasp.

Thinking of this, Davis looked at Esven with a frustrated expression, as if he had seen a treasure but couldn't get a piece of it.

If he had succeeded, he wouldn't have come all the way here. Gray, that woman, and Zoe from Wilshire Police Department, both have powerful connections and are not to be trifled with.

“You can give it a try, Davis,” Eiswin said with a smile, handing over the report.

"Otherwise, I won't be able to help you make arrangements."

Davis sighed inwardly, nodded, and said, "Okay, I'll give it a try."

He paused abruptly, looking at Esven: "Sir, but what if Officer Stevens wants to come to the Counterterrorism and Special Operations Bureau?"

Aiswin paused for a moment, then finally said, "The department has always respected the ideas of every officer."

Davis was invigorated. This meant that if Eric wanted to join the Counterterrorism and Special Operations Bureau, the chances of success were very high.

"I understand."
