Chapter 192 High-rise Building

Chapter 192 High-rise Building
Spitting in a dream truly exemplifies the saying: it's not very harmful, but extremely insulting. Although the saliva was neither hot nor cold, and even invisible and intangible, the Queen still instinctively fled the spot and kept wiping her face.

"Liu Chuanfeng, how can you be so childish?"

"Ptooey, ptooey, ptooey!" I spat, unwilling to let it go. "I just ate some dried squid, you should try some too!"

The Queen angrily retorted, "I am not a squid!"

"Sorry, I couldn't buy any dried octopus."

"I'm not an octopus either!"

"Then you have a problem with your own identity."

As I spoke, the Queen had already hidden by the door. I dared not move my legs for fear of flooring the gas pedal in reality. A thought flashed through my mind, and the bed beneath me floated into the air. I pointed at the Queen: "Chase!"

The Queen hesitated for a moment, clinging to the doorframe, seemingly considering some countermeasure, but she gave up and turned to run out of the ward.

I know why she gave up—both of them knew they were in a dream and couldn't cause each other any physical harm, so any means would be futile.

The Queen ran into the corridor and looked back at me defiantly.

Given the size of the door frame, for the hospital bed to get out, it either needs to be tilted out or disassembled. In its current state, it will inevitably get stuck in the door.

I spread my hands apart, and the door to the room opened to both sides in an arc, turning into an archway.

"Oh no!" the Queen exclaimed, continuing her escape down the corridor.

I rushed over, spitting as I did so. It wasn't that I had any perverse sense of humor; I just wanted to make Ma Chaoran understand my situation by spitting on her. We should have that kind of understanding, right?
In the empty hospital lobby, the Queen suddenly turned around and said, "You really don't care whether the whole family lives or dies?"

I ignored her and looked around, saying, "What hospital has so few people?" This place looked very familiar; it vaguely resembled the outpatient building of the People's Hospital I had recently visited. The billing window, the pharmacy window, and the consultation desk were all exactly the same, but there were neither doctors nor patients. This scene alone was enough to send chills down my spine.

Perhaps in response to me, the Queen waved her hand, and the hospital was instantly packed with people. The nurse at the consultation desk was none other than Sun Zhancheng wearing a mask, and the patient she was talking to was Wu Lianfeng, who was using crutches. In addition, the doctors queuing in the billing room, CT room, and at the entrance of each consultation room all had the faces of Sun Zhancheng and his companions. The only difference was that all the nurses dressed as them had prominent breasts and buttocks. In other words, a Cheng Sihai with prominent breasts and buttocks could appear in the billing room at any time, while the person queuing at the window could be a completely different patient named Cheng Sihai.

Perhaps sensing my dissatisfaction, she let another group of Cui San'er enter through the door, followed by two rows of leather jacket number one and leather jacket number two. At the same time, many more Cui San'er with curvy figures appeared in the corridor and began to work as nurses and cleaners.

The clumsy copy-pasting made the scene even more frightening; I'll basically never recognize the phrase "curvy" again.

I paused for a moment and then realized, "When you create dreams, you don't have the ability to design them independently at all. You can only copy or plagiarize what's in other people's minds, even the characters are the same."

Looking back, the scene that appeared during her first hypnosis session was entirely based on my childhood memories. Although the later sessions included some truly grand scenes, they were basically products of my imagination—an entire space fleet appearing in a dark mass on the roof of a fifth-floor building. Only someone with me as the producer and her as the director could pull off something like that.

The Queen blushed.

"Don't you even have a single friend?" I questioned her.

“I was born noble, and having no friends is my destiny. If you take another step, you’ll bear the consequences. I’m warning you, after a huge shock, it’s really possible for a person to get stuck in a dream and not be able to get out.” I patted the bed and said, “Come on, let’s go see for ourselves.”

The Queen slipped out of the hospital.

When I followed them out, I was startled by what I saw.

The hospital and the women with "curvy figures" behind me had disappeared. I found myself in a dim, chaotic world, which felt like both an underwater world and a vast universe. In front of me were countless aquarium-like cabinets, each containing creatures with extremely cramped living spaces. The creatures in the bottom aquariums were small but numerous, crammed together in dense clusters. They seemed to have little intelligence, simply swimming mechanically and feeding on algae-like food in their space.

The cabinets, composed of countless lower creatures, were stacked layer upon layer. Above them were countless aquariums, but these creatures were visibly larger and more ferocious, with much more space to move freely. And so on, this was how the world was structured. It seemed that space could extend infinitely upwards, and the higher the level, the more powerful the creatures became, whether individually or in their consciousness. When they sensed a gaze upon them, the aquatic creatures in the middle and upper levels bared their ferocious teeth at me...

I observed this world from a third-person perspective. Perhaps it was the Queen's deliberate arrangement, but I could see the entire panorama of this place just by looking up. At the top of the aquarium, there were a few huge cabinets, each containing only one person. Although they did not necessarily have human form, it was clear that they possessed intelligence. Each of these few rulers occupied a huge space, like a crystal coffin floating in the universe.

Whether it's the bottom or the middle and upper levels of the aquarium, they are all connected by pipes. Individuals in the space cannot reach the upper levels through the pipes, and the murky liquid running through the pipes is probably—nutrients!
The people in fewer than ten crystal coffins enjoy the sustenance of the entire world.

"Holy crap!" This time it was me who shouted.

The Queen said proudly, "This is the planet Latos. Isn't it powerful?"

I nodded and said, "Now I believe you have 1000 billion people. How many layers is that?" I started trying to count the floors. If counting these things really cost money, even if it was one cent per floor, my wealth wouldn't be enough to pay them back.

The Queen said, "There's no need to count. This is just a glimpse of the message I wanted to convey to you. The real Latos is far more powerful and awe-inspiring than this."

I waved my hand and said, "Tell me first, from which layer of boxes can someone calculate that one plus one equals two?"

The Queen remained silent.

"Okay, let me ask you something else. Are you one of those people at the very top?"

"of course."

"Then let me rephrase the question. Starting from you few and counting down, how many levels of people on Planet Latos can do one plus one?"

The Queen remained silent.

I snapped my fingers and said, "I understand, you can't calculate it either."

The Queen retorted angrily, "You humans always say the world is diverse, but isn't the universe the same? Our science and way of thinking are completely different from yours. Don't be so arrogant!"

I said in surprise, "You even use such a sophisticated word as 'diversity'? You're quite literary, aren't you?"
