Chapter 31 The Nun (Please continue reading)

Even knowing that Tomoko was right next to him, Luo Qing still risked asking a question.

"Dude, aren't you going to share the joy of getting the right answer with me?"

Luo Ji's expression remained calm: "Some things are better left unknown. Considering your powerful personal abilities, I now choose to stand on the same side as the Trisolarans and refuse to let you know the answer."

"why?"

"Because no one can stop you."

Luo Qing was unhappy.

The two of them sat facing each other, eating their breakfast in silence.

Zhuang Yan looked at this and that, unsure of what to do.

They were like brothers last night, so why are they both so cold and silent today?
in argument?
After breakfast, Luo Ji poured Luo Qing a full cup of tea.

"Try to get rid of me." Luo Qing said helplessly, looking at the tea leaves that were almost overflowing.

Luo Ji nodded expressionlessly: "I thought about it for a long time this morning and I think it's still necessary to leave you some insurance."

Luo Qing asked, "What do you mean?"

Luo Ji pondered for a moment and said, "Viewed from the side, it's a range of peaks; viewed from the front, it's a single peak. The view varies depending on distance, height, and distance. We cannot see the true face of Mount Lu because we are in the mountain ourselves."

Luo Qing was completely bewildered.

Why are you reciting poetry all of a sudden?
Luo Ji added at the end: "If I die, you should be able to find the answer by combining this poem 'Written on the Wall at West Forest Temple' with my own experience. Teacher Ye also said that you are much smarter than me. It took me six years to break through the wall, and you should be able to do it even faster. But you'd better not think about it too much before I die."

Luo Qing waved his hands repeatedly: "Don't talk nonsense. With me here, no one can kill you. Don't worry."

Promise me you won't overthink it.

Luo Qing: “…”

"Okay." Luo Qing nodded helplessly.

Luo Ji flashed the Wallfacer's signature smile.

"I can't stay with you and be protected by you forever. That's all I have to say. Leave before noon. Zhang Xiang has already arranged a car for you to go directly to the airport."

Luo Qing frowned deeply.

He hadn't yet figured out the five key pieces of information he'd gleaned from his dream, and now Luo Ji was playing cryptic games with him, not wanting him to figure out the truth yet.

So, was his trip to Northern Europe really just for tourism?
After seeing Luo Qing off.

Luo Ji looked at Hypatia, who was at a loss in the living room.

"Didn't your Lord warn me about anything just now?"

Hypatia pursed her lips and said, "Tomoko hasn't communicated with me at all."

"That's good, it seems they've given up." Luo Ji nodded. "Call Yan Yan over for me, I have something to tell her."

Luo Ji smiled again as he looked at Zhuang Yan, who was holding a child.

"Yan Yan, I think we should leave here."

"Where to?" Zhuang Yan seemed to have anticipated this day and asked calmly.

"Let's go to the future," Luo Ji said.

'You go first, I'll be there soon,' he silently added to himself.

...

Kant stood at the door, still looking energetic. Six years had passed, and apart from a few more gray hairs at his temples, the Wallfacer liaison seemed to have changed little. He was still as meticulous as ever.

"Thank you for your hard work these years."

“You’re finally going to get to work,” Kant said with a smile.

“I’ve been working all along, but I didn’t expect it to end so late. I’ve enjoyed six years of paradise, and now it’s time to face reality.”

"What can I do for you?" "I need a safer place," Luo Ji said.

“There are many safe places. What are your requirements for that place?”

"I just want absolute safety."

"Doctor, as you know, there is no absolutely safe place on Earth, but we will do our best to arrange one for you."

"There's another requirement: if possible, the location should ideally be in China."

"That's not a problem, but there's one thing you need to understand: safe places are often underground, so in terms of comfort..."

Kant didn't finish his sentence, but Luo Ji could tell the rest of the meaning from his eyes.

—Compared to the paradise of Eden, the living conditions underground are probably no different from those in a prison.

"It doesn't matter if it's underground, it won't have any impact."

Luo Ji added another sentence in his mind.

'If I caused that consequence, then I deserve to go to the deepest levels of hell.'

...

When the two Wallfacers' private planes arrived in China one after the other.

The Three-Body Problem game world.

This was Hypatia's ninth time attending an online meeting organized by ETO. Even after so many times, Hypatia was still full of curiosity about everything in the game. On the vast, desolate land, there were many tall buildings that looked like dry warehouses, and in the distance, the forest that looked like it had been cast in glass shone brightly in the light of the Eternal Era.

She quickly ascended the pyramid platform, which had been half destroyed and lost its sharp corners due to the combined gravitational pull of the 'three suns in a row'.

She climbed to the top of the platform and found that many people were already waiting for her.

"Hypatia, you have betrayed the Lord."

Newton raised his swift sword high, coldly pointing it at the medieval nun in black robes.

"Are you going to stab me to death too, like Christian thugs do?"

“I have always been a believer in God.” Newton thrust his sword forward.

The nun dodged with agile movements, large swaths of her black robes billowing in the air currents. Amidst the dense array of rapiers, Hypatia moved with effortless sarcasm:

"The person you believe in is not God."

Before she finished speaking, the nun's slender hand snapped Newton's wrist, snatched his sword, and her long, fair, and full legs emerged from her black nun's robes, striking Newton's chest like a flash of lightning in the night.

Newton grunted and staggered backward.

Hypatia casually inserted the stolen sword into the pyramid, the slender blade going straight in, leaving only the hilt sticking out.

After forcing Newton to retreat, she lifted her robes to cover her exposed skin, placed her right hand on her ample bosom, and bowed slightly to Pope Gregory.

"Hypatia sends her greetings to the Pope and the Council of Seven."

Pope Gregory said, "Nuns should curtsy, not bow."

Hypatia returned the curtsy.

Pope Gregory nodded in satisfaction, then rebuked Newton:

"Put aside your emotions, Newton. Hypatia is a good kid favored by one of the seven board members; she's not here for a denunciation meeting."

Newton stared at Hypatia with a gloomy expression, and said in a deep voice, "Your Holiness Gregory, why should we allow liberals into the council?"

"Enough, this is not a question for you to discuss." Pope Gregory struck the ground with a knight's sword, different from the bronze sword of Qin Shi Huang, effectively shutting down Newton's language system.

Pope Gregory said, "I am the fourth member of the Council of Seven, belonging to the Adventists, and I am the host of this meeting. The meeting may now begin."

All eyes turned to Hypatia.

"Come forward, Hypatia, and tell the organization what information you have so far."
