Chapter 32 Pope Gregory, Leibniz, Copernicus, Ptolemy

Chapter 32 Pope Gregory, Leibniz, Copernicus, Ptolemy (Please continue reading)
Hypatia approached the Pope, gave him a kiss on the hand, then stepped back two paces and began to recount her experiences of the past few days:
"Thanks to the help of Wallfacer No. 5, I became one of Luo Ji's entourage and have now come to China with him."

"The information provided by Zhizi is already known within the organization, so I won't go into too much detail. I'll focus on my own speculations and discoveries."

"Before I begin my explanation, I must clarify: since the poisoned wine incident in the Garden of Eden, Somoko has not given me any information or orders. Therefore, everything I am about to say is merely my personal deduction."

"That's because you're untrustworthy, the Lord doesn't trust you!" another disruptive voice chimed in.
Hypatia looked over and saw that the man was Clark, one of Newton's close friends. In history, Clark was also the one who firmly stood on Newton's side and competed with Leibniz for the right to discover calculus.

Now that Newton has been silenced, this person has stepped in to replace him.

Hypatia did not argue; she knew someone would help her.

Sure enough, the person who helped her appeared.

"The Freedom Party's loyalty to the organization is far stronger than ours, the Adventists. They are the most solid part of the organization, the very flesh and blood of the organization. The Adventists, on the other hand, are a bunch of weak-willed fools. The Adventists even get weak in the knees at the thought of Luo Qing's miraculous abilities. Foolish Clark, aren't you afraid your comrades will laugh at you for saying such things?"

The speaker was none other than Leibniz, who had been silenced by Qin Shi Huang last time. He would seize any opportunity to satirize the members of Newton's clique.

But his words also caused Pope Gregory to frown.

"Leibniz, what business is it of yours? It's a fact that the Lord didn't trust Hypatia! Because Hypatia was disrespectful to the Lord!"

"The Lord is not God, and ETO is not a religious organization. Why make a fuss about respect? The Lord does not need sycophantic idiots, but capable elites."

"You're protecting Hypatia!"

"Covering up? You and Newton, tone down your petty behavior! Do you really think that just because Qin Shi Huang valued you, you can disregard your comrades? If you want to play the power struggle game, the backstabbing and revenge kind of thing, you can go to www.pdc-union.org, that's more suitable for you and Newton!" (Note: The Planetary Defense Council (PDC) official website, also jokingly referred to internally by the ETO as the "surrender website")
Clark was furious. He stroked the hilt of his sword and said, "Leibniz, do you want to test the sharpness of my sword?"

“My sword is not without its weaknesses!” Leibniz drew his court sword.

Hypatia, who should have been at the center of the storm, was inexplicably distracted by Clark and Leibniz.

Sure enough, as long as you initiate a team fight or are initiated upon, you will naturally be matched with equally skilled teammates.

"Silence!" Pope Gregory frowned and pointed his knight's sword at the two men in turn. The two men were immediately enveloped in a white light and kicked offline.

Leipzig University, Germany.

A university professor, stripped of his V-Armor in his apartment, roared in anger: "Stupid Pope Gregory, why did you kick me offline? Idiot, stupid! The Council of Seven is full of idiots! The organization will be destroyed by you sooner or later!"

Back in the world of "The Three-Body Problem," after kicking out two Leibnizs and Clarke and silencing Newton, the pyramid platform finally quieted down a bit. Pope Gregory looked down at the black-robed nun and said...

“Hypatia, continue. No one is bothering you now.”

Hypatia: "My guess is that the fourth Wallfacer succeeded. He became his own Wallbreaker, and I think the Lord must have realized this as well. The existence of the Whistleblower is meaningless now. He has completed his task through thought. Our efforts to prevent him from breaking through the wall for six consecutive years have failed."

"What does the Lord think of this?" someone asked.

“I don’t know,” Hypatia shook her head.

The venue became noisy.

"The Lord has remained silent for three consecutive days, which is not necessarily good news for us. Moreover, the agreement the Lord reached with Luo Qing in the tavern is utterly absurd."

"That joint statement treaty issued by the PDC is just a piece of waste paper. Comrades, don't be affected by this news. We all know the situation our Lord is facing now. Those three damned suns could engulf our Lord's home planet at any time. Therefore, the First Fleet will inevitably come to the solar system."

"Yes, there is no way back, the earth is the only hope."

"But the Lord clearly said that he would postpone the fleet's crossing of the Oort Cloud."

"This just shows that the Lord has mastered simple deception techniques, which is a good thing for us. We should get used to it sooner rather than later."

"The Lord is deceiving mankind! The Lord has learned to scheme!"

"It's the scheme of a three-year-old, but it's still progress. At least the PDC put together a decent joint communiqué."

"Quiet down," Pope Gregory said, tapping the ground with his sword.

"Alright, let's assume that everything Hypatia speculated is true, and that Luo Ji really has realized something that could even threaten the Lord. What should we do next?"

Copernicus stepped forward and said, "The Lord has already given us the answer twice: kill the fourth Wallfacer before he takes any actual action."

“How do we kill him? Even the genetic technology given to us by the Lord couldn’t help us succeed. The virus missiles failed. What do we have to kill him? Not to mention he’s hiding in the cellar now.” Copernicus said, “Cut him with a knife, burn him with fire, smoke him with smoke, shoot him with arrows, and smash him with stones.”

“Pope Gregory, I request that Copernicus be burned at the stake,” a defender of the Inquisition stepped forward and said, “because he was joking.”

The people at Fangtai burst into low laughter.

Pope Gregory shook his head: "Copernicus meant regardless of the cost. Don't try to recreate history here. This is not the time for role-playing."

Pope Gregory turned to ask, "Sister, can you kill Luo Ji?"

Hypatia nodded: "Yes."

Pope Gregory said, "Then you do it."

Hypatia shook her head: "No."

Pope Gregory: "Why?"

Hypatia: "I can't let my son be without a father."

Fangtai burst into even louder laughter, and Mozi, the Wallbreaker, couldn't help but ask, "Hypatia, you don't actually think that child is your son, do you?"

Hypatia countered Mozi's question: "Why not?"

Pope Gregory said helplessly, "Hypatia, the Sophon shows that you are now living in the bunker with the Luo family. With your abilities, you are perfectly capable of killing the unsuspecting Wallfacers."

Hypatia shook her head.

Pope Gregory said disappointedly, "Your actions will disappoint Caesar, who nurtured you." (Note: Caesar, like Qin Shi Huang and Pope Gregory, was a member of the ETO's seven-member council.)
Hypatia just shook her head again, but there was one thing she didn't say: killing Luo Ji was pointless.

"It seems our nuns are overflowing with maternal love."

"The fourth Wallfacer is incredibly charming. I heard he was a notorious playboy before he became a Wallfacer."

"Don't talk nonsense. That's part of the Wallfacer Project. Completing the Wallfacer Project is much more important than the organization."

Amidst the chorus of sarcasm, only Copernicus calmly questioned Hypatia.

"Since you disobey the organization's orders and ignore Zhizi's commands, what are your plans?"

Hypatia: "I'm going to the future."

Copernicus asked, "What are you going to do in the future?"

Hypatia gave everyone a joking answer: "I'm Luo Zhenxing's mother... I have to watch him grow up in the apocalypse, don't I?"

Copernicus nodded and looked at Pope Gregory: "Your Majesty, you can kick this nun out now and send her into hibernation. Leave the killing of the Fourth Wallfacer to me."

Without Pope Gregory having to lift a finger, Hypatia voluntarily logged off.

Pope Gregory looked at Copernicus: "What are you going to do? The bunker where Luo Ji is located is hundreds of meters underground. A virus missile attack cannot work a second time. Even the Lord is powerless to do anything about Luo Ji's location."

“I will stop at nothing.” Copernicus finished speaking and looked at his attendants behind him. “Bruno, you must assist me.”

Bruno nodded.

Copernicus then searched through the crowd again, finally found his target, and walked straight towards him.

"Ptolemy, please assist me as well."

Ptolemy stroked his long beard, looked at Copernicus with a meaningful gaze, and nodded after a long time.

One of the busybodies in the crowd exclaimed, "Wow, the heliocentric theory and the geocentric theory have teamed up! Luo Ji is doomed!"

“Yes, I will kill him,” Copernicus said.
