I, a cultivator, have ended up in the wizarding world.

Chapter 164 Knowledge and Registration

Chapter 164 Knowledge and Registration

A group of people surrounded Jemin, chattering away.

Jemin looked at the group of wizards in front of him, some as low as level three and others as high as level five, and didn't dare to say anything. He could only stare blankly as they stuffed the slips of paper containing the communication serial numbers into his hand.

It wasn't until Viola, like a protective mother, went through tremendous effort to drive the whole group away that Jemin came to his senses, looking somewhat bewildered at the handful of notes in his hand.

Viola, who had been so aggressive towards the wizards just moments before, turned around and her tone immediately softened considerably: "Were you scared? I'm sorry, it was my fault. If I hadn't overreacted, these guys wouldn't have acted like this."

Jemin shook his head blankly: "I wouldn't say I was scared, but what's wrong with these people?"

At first, Jemin thought these people were there to cause trouble, but from what they said, it seemed they were interested in his model of the All-Seeing Eye.
Viola saw through his thoughts: "That's right, it's related to your all-seeing eye. This magic is quite rare, after all, it's a purely auxiliary magic, because the conditions for its construction are too harsh, and almost no one can construct it on their own."

"However, this magic is also a top-tier auxiliary magic among research-type magic, so it is very popular. But due to the special nature of the Eye of All Use, many people find it difficult to encounter an Eye of All Use that is suitable for their research. That's why that situation occurred."

Viola pursed her lips: "But you don't need to worry too much about those guys. Although they look strange, they're not bad people."

"Judging from their attire, they seem to belong to the same faction..."

“That’s right. Those guys are from the Tower of Annihilation. Although the name sounds imposing, it’s actually a research-oriented wizarding force that specializes in studying annihilation-related magic. The people there are all research scholars, so they’re easy to talk to.”

"However, you should be careful of the Chaos Cult. Those guys are always up to something, so stay away from them!"

“Yes…” Jemin responded blankly.

"If you reach a higher level in the future, you can send them your Omnipotent Eye model and make a fortune off them! Don't underestimate those guys just because they're research wizards; they're all incredibly wealthy!"

Viola clenched her fist excitedly, as if she, not Jemin, would be the one making the money.

At this point, she suddenly put her arm around Jemin's shoulder: "Oh right, since I've given you so much information, remember to give me a discount when your All-Powerful Eye is updated!"

"Definitely, definitely..." Jemin replied somewhat awkwardly.

However, this also made Jemin realize the wizards' obsession with knowledge.

"So it seems that knowledge is the real hard currency among wizards, compared to things like points..." Jemin thought to himself.

After this incident, the two became much more familiar with each other.

Viola finally remembered her mission and began to explain the information about the border point to Jemin in detail.

"This border point was created jointly by high-ranking wizards from the three major powers."

According to Viola, this spatial fragment was not formed naturally, but was constructed by several powerful high-level wizards and stabilized with powerful magic and spatial runes.

Initially, it served merely as a registration and posting point for interdimensional war missions among the three factions.

However, over time, this place gradually evolved into an area where wizards from the three factions could exchange trade and even reside temporarily, forming a unique "mobile market".

Jemin looked around; he had been too nervous to observe carefully.

Now that he has calmed down, he realizes that this boundary point presents a "bizarre" scene.

The buildings here have diverse architectural styles and lack a unified plan, as if they were randomly "transplanted" from different dimensions.

There are workshop-style buildings in the Norn Workshop standard, standing side by side with obsidian towers like the Tower of Annihilation that exude an aura of death, as well as cave dwellings filled with twisted and eerie runes of the Chaos Cult.

Besides these, the most common type of buildings are those with an exotic flair, clearly products of other dimensions.

The vast majority of these buildings are shops selling strange and unusual things from the outside world.

From bone weapons engraved with ancient runes to strange plants radiating otherworldly energy fluctuations, from living beasts imprisoned in energy fields to energy essence contained in crystal bottles.

It has everything a wizard needs or is curious about.

Besides wizards, the place is also filled with slaves and wizard servants of all shapes and sizes.

Some were giant barbarians, several meters tall, bound by contracts to serve as laborers.

Some are petite and adorable humanoid creatures that hawk their wares in front of the shop counter.

There are even some strange creatures with multiple limbs and skin that gleam with an eerie sheen, who roam the streets and alleys as bodyguards or thugs.

Some of them had blank expressions, some had eyes that sparkled with wisdom, and some showed signs of terror.

Passing by a shop that looked like it had grown from a single tree, Jemin stared in amazement at the energy orbs that looked like jellyfish, which were being organized on the shelves.

"Notice."

Viola's voice came from beside his ear, and when Jemin came to his senses, he found that a straight "wall" had suddenly appeared in front of him.

The wall appeared so abruptly that even Jemin hadn't noticed any warning; it seemed to have suddenly appeared before him. When Jemin finally saw what the wall truly was, he was even more astonished—it wasn't a wall, but another path!

Gravity here doesn't follow any rules.

He stood on a wide street. The road ahead seemed straight, but it suddenly began to rise at a 90-degree angle, giving him the illusion that he was walking towards a wall.

However, this visual strangeness did not cause any discomfort.

As Viola lifted her leg and stepped onto the "wall," Jemin found that his body still felt like he was standing normally.

The gravity beneath his feet seemed to adjust automatically, allowing him to stand easily on that "vertical" wall, as if it were originally a flat ground.

The interior spaces appear to have been artificially distorted and adjusted, creating a disorienting visual effect.

However, for the wizards who were used to it, this was merely a strange sight and did not affect their actions.

"This design of spatial distortion does fit the aesthetic of high-level wizards," Jemin thought to himself.

Such a place is itself a display of power.

Viola was already used to this strange environment. She skillfully led Jemin through the bizarre buildings and all sorts of creatures, heading straight for a tall building at the very center of the space fragment.

This building is the only one here that is stylistically consistent and appears extremely imposing, clearly serving as the shared administrative center for the three factions.

They entered the hall, which was also spacious, with a huge magic crystal lamp suspended from the ceiling, emitting a soft light.

In the center of the hall stood several tall counters, behind which sat a creature responsible for issuing and registering tasks.

Viola led Jemin to one of the counters, behind which sat a handsome otherworldly being.

He had long, pointed ears like an elf, pale gold skin, and strange runic light flowing in his deep eyes.

“We’re here to sign up for the interdimensional conquest mission. This is my friend; he’s signing up for the first time,” Viola said succinctly.

The handsome otherworldly creature slightly raised his eyes, his gaze sweeping over Jemin as if conducting some kind of invisible scan, before nodding.

He took out a crystal engraved with runes and a contract and handed it to Jemin.

"Please enter your personal information and needs." His voice was clear and pleasant.

Jemin glanced at the contract briefly. It mainly stated that he must not betray the wizard civilization during wartime, must complete the mission as much as possible while ensuring his own safety, and that he would be forcibly conscripted in the future.

After signing the contract, Jemin took the crystal and then infused it with his own identity information and expertise.

The initial registration process takes some time, as the three factions will evaluate and record the wizard's level, expertise, and past performance.

While waiting for the process to be processed, Viola explained to Jemin, "At the usual frequency, there will be a dimensional conquest mission every one or two months, and if you're lucky, there might even be one every month. If you sign up now, you'll soon have a chance to go into battle. Before that, you can prepare for the expedition in advance."

She pointed to the shops selling supplies around her: "If you need anything, you can buy it here."

Jemin nodded, indicating that he understood.

However, he had his own system of talismans and magical artifacts, as well as alchemical reserves, so he wasn't particularly interested in the goods here.

While waiting, Jemin wandered around the intersection again.

He wandered among the various peculiar shops, silently observing those otherworldly wonders with his "all-seeing eye."

There are indeed many novel things here, such as a heart that continues to beat even after leaving the body, containing a violent life force.

Or perhaps it's a fragment of a deity that fell from a dead planet, emitting faint fluctuations of its laws.

However, he soon discovered that all the goods here, whether rare treasures or practical supplies, were settled based on high or low military merits.

Although Jemin also had high-level military merits from crafting refined gold, which could be used to purchase many items, he did not want to spend these precious merits on this for the time being.

Finally, the two returned to the registration hall.

The otherworldly being had already processed his application.

“This is your identity token.” He handed Jemin a new crystal. “It also binds a terminal that can access the communication networks of the three factions. In the future, when missions are issued, you will be notified directly through the magic network. Prepare for battle, Wizard.”

Jemin took the magic network terminal engraved with the emblem of the three forces.

Its appearance is small, but its internal structure is extremely complex, allowing it to seamlessly connect to the public magic network of Norn Workshop, Tower of Annihilation, and Chaos Cult, receive mission information, check military merit points, and even conduct some basic exchanges.
