Chapter 39 Sir

Chapter 39 Sir
Upon hearing Song Jianguo's words, Zhang Wenda, whose face was extremely pale, reached into the pocket of his school uniform and pulled out the last lollipop.

Although a solution was found, unfortunately, there weren't enough materials.

He looked up at the at least twelve monsters before him, a wry smile on his face. "I'm afraid I can't convince them to take turns licking a lollipop."

At that moment, the monsters in the distance also saw the black cat ship and roared as they gradually surrounded it.

"What should we do?" Zhang Wenda looked at the completely empty red core.

Now he seems to have only one option left, even though he knows the side effects of this method are terrible.

He stood up from the cat boat, reached out and grabbed the bookshelf beside him, looking at the bookshelves and saying, "Give me knowledge, give me the knowledge to solve the current situation!"

As they were talking, a book fell from the upper bookshelf. Zhang Wenda reached out and grabbed it, and saw the title on it.

However, the book's title shocked him immensely: "The Way to Become an Adult Overnight."

Zhang Wenda was stunned when he saw the book. At that moment, he suddenly realized something. He held the book, looked around, and shouted, "You're alive too, right? Right? Library!"

"This was a trap from beginning to end, wasn't it! No matter what I chose, whether I read the book or got caught up in these things, the result would be the same, right?!"

Zhang Wenda's voice echoed in the empty library, but received no response.

Seeing the monsters approaching, Zhang Wenda knew it was time to make a choice.

Is it that both of them grow up, or that one person grows up and takes the other person out?

This problem seemed easy to solve. Zhang Wenda made up his mind, slapped the book directly into Song Jianguo's hands with his right hand.

"Go for it! It's up to you, you can do it!"

Song Jianguo was taken aback. She looked at the book and then at Zhang Wenda's smiling face. Even though she didn't understand, after being in the library for so long, she knew that opening this book was not a good thing.

Her face flushed with anger, and she was about to unleash a torrent of curses, but then her lips twitched slightly, and tears streamed down her face. "I knew it, I knew it!! You've never been so kind to bring me here!!"

"I can't beat you! Fine! I accept my defeat!" She snatched the book from Zhang Wenda's hand and was about to open it when it was taken away by another hand.

"Oh dear, I scared you! Look how frightened you are, you even cried. You're still just a little kid."

Song Jianguo stared incredulously at the book in Zhang Wenda's hand, as if he didn't understand what was going on. "Why?"

Looking at the book in his hand, Zhang Wenda recalled some past events. "No matter how unruly you are, it just means you deserve a beating and discipline. Even if you are sent to prison, it doesn't mean you can be sold out at will, or that your personality can be trampled on by others."

"Besides, I'm so much older than you. If something really happens, I won't let a little kid take the blame."

The commotion was growing louder and louder, and as they were gradually gathering around, Zhang Wenda calmly and slowly opened his book.

"Anyway, I've already grown up. I'm just back in the same place as before. I'm actually curious about what the adult world here is like."

Just as Zhang Wenda saw those words, the contents of the entire book floated up rapidly and gradually emitted a yellow light. Finally, another yellow scar appeared next to Zhang Wenda's red core, just like a superpower that had been absorbed.

Not only was Zhang Wenda caught off guard by this scene, but even the monsters were stunned and stood there dumbfounded.

"Huh?" Zhang Wenda looked at the book, which had not a single word on it, and then at his own body, which had not changed at all. After thinking for a moment, he coughed lightly and spoke.

"Um, this book is expired. Could you bring me another one to take a look at?"

As soon as he finished speaking, the monsters around him roared and charged forward. Zhang Wenda looked anxiously at the yellow core on his forearm, "How do you use this thing? How do you use this thing?"

A book titled "Elementary Applications of Yellow Seeds" appeared before Zhang Wenda.

As the sky darkened, two enormous canes came crashing down on his head.

Just as it was about to hit Zhang Wenda's face, he pressed hard on the yellow seed.

With two sharp "smacks," two rolled-up newspapers struck Zhang Wenda on the head, followed by a cacophony of noise reminiscent of a bustling market.

"They hit an old man! They hit an old man!"

"Give me candy, give me candy."

"Oh dear, the world is going to the dogs; there are all sorts of people here."

Looking around, Zhang Wenda saw that everything—the monster, the library, and even Song Jianguo—had completely vanished.

It should have been dark by now, but it was midday.

Accompanied by the chirping of cicadas, he, now back to his original height, stood in a lush park and saw seven or eight old men standing with their hands on their hips, staring at him.

They tapped themselves with their fingers against the newspaper while repeating the same words.

"Meow~" A small black cat wearing a collar kept circling around Zhang Wenda's trouser leg.

"Everyone, everyone, please wait a moment, everyone." Zhang Wenda, completely bewildered, spread his arms, attempting to explain to the old men who seemed to be monsters in disguise.

However, no matter how he explained, the old men and women seemed not to hear him and kept repeating what he had just said.

Just then, a man carrying a badminton racket ran by. After seeing what was happening, he said, "Don't pay attention to them. You can't explain it to them. They're all pre-made."

"Prefabricated man?"

Upon hearing this, Zhang Wenda observed carefully and discovered that these people did indeed seem to be non-living; their expressions were stiff, their speech was repetitive, and even their faces looked almost identical.

Ignoring the people surrounding him, Zhang Wenda picked up the black cat from the ground with one hand, easily pushed them aside, and chased after the man with the badminton racket.

Everything happened so fast, he needed to ask too many questions.

"Is this the adult world? Is this the adult world?"

Zhang Wenda held the cat and looked around at his surroundings; everything had changed.

"Jianguo? Are you Jianguo?" Zhang Wenda asked loudly to the little black cat in his hand, but the little black cat just meowed and trembled with fear.

"What are prefabricated people? Aren't they human?" Zhang Wenda thought incredulously, looking at the old man on the ground beside him, who was intently eating candy.

All of this happened so fast and so much that his mind was completely blank.

Just as he chased the man out of the park, the scene before him instantly froze him in place. He saw a city.

A high-tech city entirely built by prefabricated people, who are like bricks stacked together to form viaducts and magnificent skyscrapers.
