Hogwarts: Dumbledore reigned over the wizarding world
Chapter 31 The Room of Requirement
Chapter 31 The Room of Requirement
"Merlin, so many things!"
Looking at the endless amount of clutter in his field of vision, Ron opened his mouth wide, and suddenly thought of something, his face flushed:
"Maybe there are antiques here that are thousands of years old..."
Hermione rolled her eyes at him. "Looking at such a magical house, this is the first thing you think of?"
Ron scratched his face and muttered softly, "This is a normal person's reaction."
Vaughn watched with a smile, and after the three of them gradually adapted to the situation, he casually asked Harry, "Harry, how do you feel?"
"Hmm?" Harry was a little surprised, but he still answered: "Uh, it's shocking."
"anything else?"
Harry was a little confused, "What else should there be?"
Ron and Hermione also looked at Vaughan curiously.
"Nothing, just asking." Vaughn waved his hand and then said:
"You can go around and maybe find a thousand-year-old antique like Ron said."
Ron immediately and excitedly dragged Harry to explore.
Hermione was also attracted by the pile of shiny things and prepared to go over to take a look.
Watching them go away, Vaughn's expression darkened and he narrowed his eyes.
"It seems that the attraction and resonance between Horcruxes did not exist from the beginning..."
On the third day of school last week, Vaughn found the Room of Requirement, not because he urgently needed a private space, but because there was a treasure hidden in this cluttered room.
Ravenclaw's diadem!
It is an alchemical wonder that is said to grant wisdom to whoever wears it.
Vaughan was not sure what wisdom actually was.
But there is no doubt that as one of the Big Four, something that the legendary wizard Ravenclaw once wore on his head, it may embody the most mysterious and cutting-edge magic of ancient alchemy.
Not to mention, it was made into a Horcrux by Voldemort!
Thinking of Socket Man, Vaughn's expression turned a little cold.
He never imagined that one day he would kneel before Voldemort and kiss his robes.
That guy with a split soul who has gone completely crazy is not even worth cooperating with, let alone following.
But there is no doubt that Voldemort is a very powerful wizard!
In the previous life, some people thought that Voldemort was just so-so and could not defeat Dumbledore, a man over a hundred years old.
They hadn't considered that Dumbledore had the Elder Wand and was a master of Transfiguration.
It can be seen from the original book that the Avada Kedavra curse is not invincible, it can also be blocked, especially things created by Transfiguration - it can briefly give life to dead things and be killed by the Kedavra curse instead of the wizard.
Voldemort, who devoted his entire life to studying the Unforgivable Curses, was completely defeated by Dumbledore.
But even so, Dumbledore never truly defeated Voldemort.
"I still need time to grow, and I need to weaken Tom even more. At least I need to make sure he stays out of trouble in the next few years, just like in the original novel..."
Vaughan twirled his wand between his fingers, looking at the debris with a deep and pensive gaze. He certainly wouldn't destroy the Horcruxes himself.
But that didn't stop him from finding the Horcrux and then giving it to Dumbledore.
The great white wizard had always been puzzled as to why Voldemort didn't die, and he was just in a position to help him.
I think Lao Deng would be very grateful to him!
Originally, he planned to use Harry's sensitivity to Horcruxes to find the Ravenclaw Diadem, but unfortunately, it seemed that the time was not right now.
He had to put in the effort himself, slowly sifting through the mountain of clutter. The magic of the Room of Requirement excited the trio, and they had originally planned to stay for a few more days.
But the next day, the news that Harry had joined the Gryffindor Quidditch team spread throughout Hogwarts.
The team captain Wood was very upset. He repeatedly asked Harry and the team members to keep it a secret, hoping to use Harry as a secret weapon.
But Harry, who kept his mouth shut, turned around and told his friends.
The next day, Fred and George, two of the team members, jumped up and down and said to everyone:
"Harry is our Seeker, the House Cup is definitely ours this year!"
Wood sat in despair on the Quidditch pitch that night, wondering what he was going to do with so many loudmouths on his team.
Harry was miserable too; he had almost forgotten that his and Malfoy's detention was to last a week.
Compared with the subsequent confinement, dusting the trophy room was actually the easiest task - he was going to help Professor Snape process the medicinal herbs!
The trio's plans to explore the Room of Requirement have to be postponed.
After searching the Room of Requirement for another two days and still finding nothing, Vaughn went to Professor Snape's office again on the weekend.
As soon as he opened the door, he heard Snape's sarcastic voice:
"Tsk, tsk, Potter, I really want to rip your skull open and see if there's slug goo all over your thick, stupid head."
Malfoy was chuckling.
Only when he heard the door being pushed open did Snape raise his face, which was almost touching Harry's head.
He glanced at Vaughn who came in, took out a note from the drawer and handed it to him.
He was still as concise as ever, "The book is in the library. Here's the note. Take a look first!"
"Thank you, Professor."
Vaughan thanked him and shrugged helplessly at Harry, who was looking at him pleadingly with his eyes glazed over by the spray.
That's the professor's love for you, Harry. How can outsiders interfere?
Arriving at the library, Vaughn handed the note to Madam Pince, the thin, elderly witch who was the third most feared person by the young wizards.
Anyone who dared to make noise in the library would be hit by her feather duster and then kicked out of the library in disgrace.
She looked from the note to Vaughan with hawk-like eyes and complained:
"Restricted section? Why would Professor Snape issue such an outrageous note? The books there are not what first-year students should borrow at all."
"The professor thinks I'm qualified, ma'am," Vaughan said with a smile.
"Hmph..." Madam Pince snorted like an angry bull, but she didn't question anything in the end.
"Follow me, pay attention, and be quiet!"
Madam Pince took Vaughn to the restricted section at the back of the library.
She unleashed the magic on the restricted area, leaving Vaughn outside, and hurried inside. When she came out, she was already holding several books in her hands: "Advanced Potion Making," "Powerful Potions," "Advanced Magic," and this... "An Introduction to the Dark Arts." This is the book Professor Snape allowed you to borrow."
"Thank you, ma'am." Vaughan took it.
Madam Pince looked at him deeply again and warned, "The contents of these books are very dangerous. If you have any questions, you must immediately find Professor Snape or me. Do you understand?"
Only after Vaughan agreed did Mrs. Pings let him go.
