Chapter 55 Encounter (Please continue reading)

Looking at the boy standing in front of her, the silver-haired girl felt that he looked familiar. It was that person who smelled so good that day!
Haven stood in front of the girl, sword in reverse grip, and frowned as he looked at the wailing goblin.

Green-skinned goblins?!

How did it end up here? That doesn't make sense.

How could something not from the abyss appear in the forest? This is the interior of the empire, not the border!

Clearly, no one would answer Haven's question. The timid goblins, seeing that he was just a human boy, regained their courage after being frightened.

Roaring, he raised his weapon and ran towards the two. Seeing that the goblin only reached his chest, Haven narrowed his eyes, twirled his longsword, and charged forward.

With a swift movement, the sword fell, and the two goblins clutched their necks and collapsed.

"It stinks! This thing must be made of poop!"

Haven was splattered with goblin green blood and almost threw up his dinner from the night before. He wished he could tear off his clothes and throw them away immediately.

But the yelling goblins didn't give Havel time to complain. They charged forward, brandishing their tattered weapons. Having learned his lesson, Havel became extra careful about his attack distance when fighting goblins again.

After a dozen or so breaths, another seven or eight goblins were killed. The goblins' mental defenses collapsed once more, and they fled the battlefield screaming and disappearing into the bushes in a flash.

Disgusted by the stench of the monsters, Haven lost interest in pursuing them and turned to walk towards the silver-haired girl in the pit. The severely injured girl's face was deathly pale, as white as a freshly peeled egg.

Hey~ Are you alright~

The silver-haired girl wrinkled her cute nose and said to Haven in a hoarse voice.
"It's alright, thank you. I was just affected by the backlash of magic; your pleasant scent is gone."

Hearing the girl's voice, still sweet even though it was hoarse, Haven felt a tingling sensation down his spine.
"Ugh! Those goblins stink so badly! Wait a minute, I'm going to change my clothes. I have some medicine on me, medicine made by my teacher. My teacher is a very powerful potion master."

With that, Haven dashed out of the ditch, ran behind a large tree, quickly took off his clothes and threw them aside, then took out a water hose from his spatial ring, put on a change of clothes, rinsed himself off, put on his clothes again, and ran back.

"Sorry for the wait, sorry for the wait. It's a magic backlash, right? Wait a minute, let me see what can cure it."

Haven's ring flashed, and a dozen or so vials of potions appeared.

"This won't work, this is for diarrhea, this won't work either, this is for restoring magical power, calendula? We can have a bottle of this, she seems to be vomiting blood."

Standing there, Haven felt like his brain was in complete chaos, overloaded by too much information.

The silver-haired girl looked at Haven, who was standing there in a daze, and asked a question that seemed a little strange.

Upon hearing the girl's voice, Haven quickly shook his head to clear his mind and silently repeated several times, "I'm a good person, I'm a good person."

"Hey~ It's okay, it's okay. I was just thinking about something. Your clothes are torn, do you have a spare?"

The silver-haired girl blinked her large, pale purple eyes, looked innocently at Haven, and shook her head.

"Oh, I have some. You can wear mine if you don't mind."

After saying that, she took out another set of clothes from her spatial ring and handed it over. Just as Havent was about to say something more, the silver-haired girl who received the clothes stood up straight, and there was a tearing sound as the clothes were ripped.

"Hello, my name is Haven, but I'm currently traveling alone to the capital, so I'll call myself Will. What's your name?"

"My name is Serena, and I'm doing the task my mother gave me."

"Oh, I see. It's nice to meet you, Serena."

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Will."

Young Master Haven, who had no dating experience, was at a loss for words. The atmosphere gradually became awkward. Looking at his loose clothes being stretched taut, he subconsciously activated the auto-aim system again.

Serena tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, took the potion Haven handed her, and drank it.
"Mom said someone was abusing magic here, so I came to check. The enemy was a guy from the abyss. I wasn't prepared and got defeated."

"Huh, so the reason I got lost in the woods and couldn't find my way out was because of this guy?"

Serena nodded, raised her hand and tried to circulate her magic again. The magic runes on her arm lit up briefly, then quickly dimmed again.

"So you're still going to look for him?"

Seeing the girl's actions, Haven asked in confusion.
"Hmm~"

"Then I'll go with you, I'm very capable."

After saying that, he raised his arm to show Serena the muscles on it.

The silver-haired girl looked Havet up and down, then shook her head.

"Although you smell wonderful, you are too weak; you will die."

Feeling slighted, Haven was immediately indignant, but then he remembered how Serena had effortlessly vanquished the black smoke wolves in the sky that day, and calmed down, smiling as he said to Serena...
