Warhammer 40: Doom
Chapter 310 Rogdorn
Chapter 310 Roger Dorn
After the Father of Genes entered the warp, Atum took command of the First Fleet and carried out the extermination plan.
He immediately sent a message to Nur through the language of stars: the Primarch has entered the Warp, but will return one day.
Nur did not panic upon hearing the news; they had full confidence in King Novik.
But as the years went by, the king never returned, and the champion swordsman, Harlan Oglieve, grew impatient.
After discussion, he handed over the fleet to Li Tang and sailed to Terra in his flagship to demand his master from the Lord of Mankind.
The Champion Blade entered Terra orbit, sailed into Lionsgate Spaceport, and docked at the Nur dedicated port.
The ancient warship, gleaming with light, docked at the airport with its enormous silhouette, making quite a commotion.
As the palace was under construction, a commotion arose among the crowd. A giant who was talking to the construction supervisor looked up and noticed the massive ship that had appeared out of nowhere.
His neatly cut short hair was slightly pale, his face was serious, his eyes were bright and piercing, and his brows showed a resolute look.
Wearing golden power armor, with an Imperial Eagle on the chest and a golden eagle spreading its wings carved on the shoulder armor, the eagle's beak is like a hook and its eyes are adorned with gems, exuding both magnificence and power; behind the neck is also a standing eagle sculpture, with its body upright and its wings spread.
Without a doubt, the golden-armored giant was a son of the emperor, possessing an extraordinary aura bestowed upon him by the lord of mankind. He simply stood there, like a reliable city wall, never to yield.
The Gene Primarch looked up, saw that the warship was docked securely, and recognized the warship's gladiolus emblem.
“The warships of the Nur Stars.” Roger Dorn murmured softly, his amber eyes narrowing slightly, his white eyebrows furrowing slowly. The clanging sound of rocks colliding revealed the identity of the one who spoke.
Roger Dorn. Lord of the Seventh Legion, the Emperor, has found his lost son in the icy world of Inwitt in the Storm Starfield.
The Primarch Amniotic Chamber landed in Inwit, a world that had stopped rotating and was plunged into eternal night and eternal day.
Due to the surface of the continent, small areas experience perpetual daylight and extremely high surface temperatures, while most areas experience perpetual night, with ice sheets covering the continent.
Beneath the ice sheet, the tenacious Inwet people built cities and survived in the harsh environment shrouded in frigid temperatures.
The Primarch's amniotic sac broke through the ice cap and was found by an elder of the Dorne clan, who named him Roger Dorne.
The Primarch grows up quickly, and under his grandfather's tutelage, Dorne learns knowledge and establishes his own values.
Perhaps it was his birthright, or perhaps it was the harsh cold and storms of Inwet that forged Dorn into a resilient character. Everything he did had a clear and definite goal, and he would not be swayed by external factors.
Driven by pure will, the Primarch, upon reaching adulthood, became the Emperor of the Dorne clan.
He studied the principles of war and led the warriors of the Dorne clan to attack in various places, beginning the conquest of Inwitt.
Just as his name implies, Rogue Dorn, the Fist of the Royals, is like a pair of iron fists, striking his enemies fiercely.
Inwit was quickly conquered, and the Primarch unified the icy world in a very short time, uniting the cities of Inwit beneath the ice cap and leading them toward prosperity.
By unifying humanity and ending the division, Dorne consolidated its resources and armed forces to eradicate the giant beasts entrenched in the ice caves, thus opening up more living space.
Build numerous fortresses to defend against monster invasions, and construct spaceships to search for resources in the surrounding world.
Clear out wild animals, create living space, and gradually explore the starry sky.
Under the rule of the Primarchs, Inwitte prospered and its people became increasingly wealthy.
In order to explore more distant star systems, Dorn boarded the massive relic warship, the Mountain Array, which was hovering in Inwitt's orbit.
The Mountain Array, whose construction is unknown, is enormous and has been moored in the Invitational for thousands of years.
According to ancient legends, it was because the Mountain Array was hovering in orbit that the unknown technology it carried caused the Earth's core to stop rotating, slowly killing the world on which humanity depends for survival.
Regardless of the legends, Dorn, adhering to pragmatism, set about repairing the Mountain Array in order to explore deep space.
His tireless efforts over more than a decade paid off, and amidst the cheers of the Inwete people, the dormant engine of the mountain range was finally awakened.
The Primarch's grandfather, having lived a long and peaceful life amidst the Primarch's vision for the future, left him a blanket.
Dorn remained silent as a rock, his resolute face showing no sign of sorrow, but he gripped the blanket tightly and sat beside his grandfather for a long time.
The Invit exploration fleet, on its long voyage, encountered a golden warship in the void—the Emperor's Dream Ship, which the Emperor himself was aboard.
From the Inwitts, the Emperor heard a legend—a man who unified the world with extraordinary wisdom and strength.
He immediately realized that Emperor Inwit was his son.
The Emperor, accompanied by the Royal Guard, descended upon Inwitt and, amidst the kneeling and praise of mortals, met with Rogue Dorne. At first glance, Dorne was moved by the man's extraordinary bearing, his unwavering resolve, and his sincere heart.
Driven by the pulsation of his bloodline, the Primarch knew that the visitor was his father. He knelt on one knee and swore allegiance to the Emperor.
To commemorate the reunion of father and son, and also to honor his loyalty, Dorn points to the Mountain Array and presents the magnificent warship to his father.
He believed that only that great warship was worthy of his great father.
The Emperor gladly accepted the gift, helped Dorne up, and led his son by the arm into the room where he had lived for decades. The two sat around the fireplace and talked for a long time.
Most of the time, Dorn was a listener, listening to his father recount the past, the human empire, and the truths of the empire.
Upon learning the Imperial Truth, Dorn fully agreed, believing that only the Imperial Truth could allow humanity to rise again.
The Emperor was very pleased. Of all his returning sons, only Dorne fully accepted the truth of the Empire and did not question his hard work.
Overjoyed, the emperor returned the Mountain Array to his son, hoping it would be used better to expand the empire's territory.
After their encounter, Roger Dorn followed the Emperor away from Inwitt and returned to Terra.
He took over the Seventh Legion from his father and renamed it the Fist of the Empire.
Dorne hopes the Legion will become the most powerful fist, defeating the enemies of the Empire and destroying the obstacles that stand in the way of humanity's revival.
The name "Imperial Fist" also reflects, from another perspective, the meaning of Roger Dorne's name "Royal Fist," complementing each other perfectly.
As a reward for his son, the Emperor granted Imperial Fist the right to recruit soldiers in Terra, infusing Terran blood into Imperial Fist and striking enemies with human fury!
During the five years since his return, Dorne did not rush to join the Great Crusade, but stayed in Terra to recruit soldiers. During this time, he reunited with many of his brothers and witnessed the return of another brother.
In his spare time, he always liked to come to the edge of the palace to guide and supervise its construction.
Upon seeing the arrival of the Nur warship, Dorn gestured for the construction supervisor to leave.
The gaze shifted from the warship to the corner of the outer wall, where a porridge distribution point was set up.
Ragged, emaciated impoverished people lined up outside the porridge distribution point, holding earthenware bowls and waiting for staff to serve them porridge.
On the back wall of the porridge distribution point, two flags hung: one with the double-headed eagle of the Empire and the other with Nur-Swordland.
Every three months, Nur's fleet of merchant ronin would arrive in Terra, bringing large quantities of grain and various luxury goods.
Food was given to the Empire free of charge, with Chancellor Makado personally in charge of distributing it to the poor in Terra, saving many from famine.
Those exquisite luxury goods were sold by Nur at the space station near Mars, targeting nobles who settled in Terra.
Terran nobles are as numerous as hairs on a cow, and every time Nur's goods arrive, they cause a frenzy among the major powers, repeatedly pushing up the prices of the goods.
The proceeds from the sale of luxury goods were used to replenish the fleet's fuel supply, which was then exchanged for resources to be sent back to Nur. The traveling merchants also profited handsomely from this.
Dorn withdrew his gaze, turned and walked down the city wall, his footsteps steady and powerful, leaving the construction site.
In his heart, he had a very good impression of Nur because his good deeds of providing food and earning wealth from the upper class to support the lower class had fed many poor people.
Many of the genetically modified offspring recruited from the slums received some food from Nur and survived the most difficult days.
As the saying goes, "love me, love my dog," and with a reputation built around his offspring, Dorne had a very good impression of Nur, a positive bias.
But no matter how good his impression of them was, he still regarded regimes that were independent of the empire and did not fully follow the empire's truths as potential threats.
With mixed feelings, Dorn decided to go and see, to greet the Lord of the Stars—Doom Norwick, and to meet his extraordinary brother.
He walked faster and faster, like a gust of wind passing through the palace corridors, heading towards Lionsgate Spaceport.
He quickly retrieved information from his mind, reviewing the records about his brother from the imperial archives once again.
When we meet, we will compare the legend with reality and analyze the differences.
The Lionsgate spaceport leads directly to the palace, where Imperial personnel are already waiting to greet visitors with the highest honors.
