Chapter 381 Please Raise Your Head
Chapter 381 Please Raise Your Head
The long sword sliced across the neck, the blade shredding muscle and bone, the blood pumping from the heart gurgling and mingling with the intense howls of the human.
The alien head spun in the air before crashing to the ground and rolling a few times, its terrified eyes still fixed on the human executioner.
The crowd roared again, their skin flushed red, their blood surging, their faces contorted in a terrifying grimace, their eyes filled with unbridled pleasure, and their throats emitting bloodthirsty growls.
Colonel Miles sneered. What he saw before him was exactly what he wanted to see: beheading aliens using primitive methods, barbaric violence, and using blood to awaken the wildness in people's hearts.
He had long realized that humanity, having just begun to explore the stars, should not harbor goodwill toward other races.
Unfortunately, there are always many hypocrites who obstruct this, shouting things like: "The lives of alien races are lives too."
Those idiots won't realize that if the aliens were to turn their weapons against humanity, the entire human society would suffer.
They shout ideologies, but their hearts are full of hypocritical kindness.
If the aliens kill humans because of the kindness of hypocrites, would they be held responsible for the deaths?
will not!
Hypocrites are precisely the most irresponsible people. They lack the courage to take corresponding responsibility, and instead stand on the moral high ground pointing fingers and dragging the entire society to pay the price for vanity!
That's precisely why treacherous people are made up of hypocrites!
Declaring peaceful coexistence downplays humanity's hostility towards extraterrestrial races and erases the fighting spirit of the human race; it is truly a heinous crime.
Having come into contact with the great human civilization, Miles has fully realized that he was right—the aliens are dangerous and deserve to die!
Now, eliminating dissidents through slaughter and awakening primal bestiality and hostility is a good thing that achieves multiple benefits.
Humans dare not defy the powerful, but are more adept at wielding their swords against the weak.
Unleash the bloodthirsty beast within, let hatred rage, and the Na'vi become the perfect targets for this vengeance, slaying the filthy alien creatures.
"Let her go." Miles was overjoyed to see the hateful and bloodthirsty looks in the audience's eyes and signaled the soldiers to release the doctor.
Dr. Grace Augustine collapsed to the ground, unable to utter a sound even without the tape sealing her mouth.
Bright red blood gushed out, staining the base square. The stench of blood stimulated every nerve, causing the body to tremble uncontrollably and the lower body to leak foul-smelling liquid.
She never imagined that Miles would be so brutal and ruthless, washing away the resistance with blood.
The stinging pain at the corner of her mouth pulled her back to reality. The soldier ripped off the tape and dragged her from the ground to the colonel.
"You beast!" The doctor gasped for breath, tears silently streaming down his face. His shrill voice rang out loudly in the silent square as he denounced Colonel Miles.
Her eyes were bloodshot, filled with a murderous hatred, and the image of the man standing in front of her was twisted, turning him into a murderous demon.
"You are not only a beast, but also a warmonger, completely destroying the chance for peace between the two races!"
“Oh? Dear Doctor.” Miles said in a low voice, then grabbed Augustine by the collar. Their eyes met, neither willing to back down. “You have no right to say that.”
He looked up at the sky, the blue giant planet seemingly within reach: "You think we are the only humans? That there is little life in the universe? That the alien race is very friendly?"
Upon hearing the series of questions, Dr. Augustine froze for a moment, his pupils suddenly dilating.
A thunderbolt struck her mind, all the inconsistencies were resolved, and the colonel's actions found their footing, suddenly appearing before her eyes.
"Where did they come from?" the doctor cried out sharply, his hands gripping the colonel's strong arms, his eyes filled with a mixture of surprise and hatred, his expression incredibly complex.
I understand! I understand everything!
Colonel Miles Quaritch encountered a visitor from the void, glimpsed a terrifying truth about the universe, and grasped the laws of survival.
"Who are they? Where are they?" The doctor cried hysterically, tears streaming down his face, his knees buckling as he clung to the colonel. "Please take me to them."
"Heh heh heh~"
Under the watchful eyes of everyone, Miles laughed heartily, casually tossing the Doctor to the ground and casting a disdainful glance at him: "What a pity, my dear Doctor."
"The universe is not a baby's paradise, it has no dreamy colors, it is real and cruel, and it has no room for weakness or pity."
"Unfortunately..." the colonel grinned, revealing his gleaming white teeth, "you and your ideology are precisely the weak link they want me to eliminate."
"The reason I spared your life is to see if, when your hypocritical faith collapses, you can still despise my ruthless policy towards the Xenomorphs as you always have?"
The mocking words echoed in his ears as the Doctor lay in a pool of blood at the execution ground, seemingly dead.
Her cherished belief in harmony crumbled, tears streamed down her face, and her eyes stared blankly at the sky, meeting the massive eye of the storm on the blue gas giant. Suddenly, her pupils contracted sharply, and three tiny white dots appeared at the edge of the gas giant's outline, flying in a triangular formation.
Miles keenly sensed the change in atmosphere, looked up at the sky, and his eyes were filled with extreme joy.
"Fellow countrymen!" His usually calm voice trembled slightly as he roared, drawing everyone's attention to him. He pointed to the edge of the gas giant: "Please raise your heads."
"Inherit that glory lost for ten thousand years!"
Everyone looked in the direction indicated and saw three high-speed white dots that were clearly visible to the naked eye; they were definitely not natural celestial bodies!
The base fell into a sudden, deathly silence, then erupted in thunderous cheers.
Deep in the cold void, Doom frowned in astonishment as Saint Gilles arrived aboard the Nur warship.
"My visit seems a bit too sudden?" The handsome man in the holographic projection had a gentle and charming face, but there was a hint of teasing in his eyes.
Seeing his brother's surprised expression, Saint Gilles knew that Li Tang had not informed his brother, catching him off guard.
“I never expected to meet you here again.” Doom laughed heartily, showing no embarrassment whatsoever. “My brother, you have brought an unexpected surprise.”
“Come,” he pointed to a coordinate within the galaxy, inviting his brother, “come here, let’s drink and have some fun.”
"Please allow me to make a suggestion." Saint Gilles raised his hand and gently declined with elegant politeness, summoning a projection of the Pandora world: "This world is so beautiful, wouldn't it be perfect as a banquet table?"
The place the angels chose was a beautiful coastline.
"The stars as a table?" Doom nodded in agreement. The angel was truly generous. "Then I'll go ahead and prepare a feast to await you."
As he spoke, the aircraft carrier's lights came on, and its massive hull emerged from the void, suddenly appearing in Pandora's high orbit.
The alarms of the low-orbit solar sail spacecraft were deafening, and the people inside had no idea why a super-giant ship was hiding right next to them.
Panic erupted inside the solar sail spaceship until the colonel sent a message from the ground, signaling not to panic, as the other side was also human.
The crew members leaned against the portholes, gazing up at the magnificent ship and marveling at the behemoth built with extraordinary technology.
“You must prepare fine wine.” Saint Gilles did not stand on ceremony and generously made his request: “After all, in the vast sea of stars, Nur wine is famous far and wide. Ever since I tasted it in Horus, I still remember the taste on my lips and teeth.”
"Ha! Ha! Ha!" Doum laughed loudly, his shoulders trembling slightly. He waved his hand and said frankly, "This warship carries very little. Let you have a taste first. We'll drink to our hearts' content when we return to the Nur Stars."
He then bid farewell to his brother for the time being: "That's all for now, I'll land on the planet's surface first."
“I’ll be there shortly.” Saint Gilles smiled and ended the brief holographic communication.
Doum left the panoramic deck, dragged Harlan out of the lounge without a word, took Obelisk, and landed on the ground aboard a landing ship.
At the human base on the ground, many people saw the mothership separate from the landing craft and craned their necks in anticipation, only to find that the landing craft landed on the other side of the planet.
"Prepare the airship," Miles ordered his men urgently, his voice trembling. "I'm going to see those lords."
When a great person comes into the world, he must personally obey his commands to prevent any accidents from happening.
"Take me with you!" A shrill scream rang out from below. The colonel's calves were tightly held by the doctor, and his bloodied hands stained his trouser legs with blood.
Miles was furious when he saw that she dared to delay him, and he raised his foot to kick the persistent doctor to death.
His foot was about to land when he met Augustine's firm gaze, a glimmer of hope still lingering in his eyes, as if he had not completely collapsed.
With his eyes slightly narrowed, the colonel suddenly thought of a cruel idea: wouldn't it be the best revenge against hypocrites to have this fragile flame of hope so easily extinguished by the adults?
“Of course.” He bent down and grabbed the doctor by the back of the neck, his smile sinister and terrifying in the shadows, causing the latter to shiver involuntarily.
He grabbed her and led her toward the airship that was preparing for takeoff.
