Chapter 25: Try this?

Dog Brother's face showed a look of fear. Thinking of Su Huan's mysterious methods, he whispered a reminder, "Keep your voices down for a while. That Su guy is an evolved human. He appears and disappears like a ghost."

Upon hearing this, a mocking glint appeared in Old Hu's eyes. An evolved being?
Who is not?

But even the evolved ones fear the truth.

Old Hu subconsciously touched the cold thing in his waistband, and the image of the man who could manipulate flames came to mind.

The flames were indeed eerie; they roasted the three of them, but he killed them with a single shot.

The corpses have now been gnawed into skeletons by the zombies.

This is also what gave him the confidence to try and steal the car even after hearing that the other party was an evolved being.

The early morning rain, mixed with the sultry heat, clung to our bodies, and several dark figures trudged along in the mud, their steps uneven.

Finally, we got close enough to get to them.

The security guard's uniform, soaked through by the rain, clung stickily to his back. He wiped his face, gazing at the steel-cast train with eager eyes.

"This is the carriage!" Dog Brother lowered his voice and pointed to carriage number 3, the mechanical door latch gleaming coldly in the rain.

"Don't get it wrong."

"We've been observing for a long time, and we know that the guy surnamed Su lives in this area. Once we take him out, the remaining women and the cripple are all ours to do with!"

The man with the slanted eyes secretly mocked Dog Brother for being spineless; in the apocalypse, there might not be much else, but women were plentiful.

At first, they would try to exchange food for it.

Later on, I stopped exchanging them altogether; I would just grab whichever one I liked.

"As long as you get the train, all those women are yours, Third Brother!"

When the third locksmith approached, he stepped into a puddle, making a splashing sound, and was glared at fiercely by the sly-eyed man.

The third brother trembled as he pulled out his tool bag, held the flashlight in his mouth, and swept the beam across the keyhole, feeling a sense of relief.

"Old-fashioned mechanical locks, I really have no idea what to do if it's an electronic one."

The man with the slanted eyes sniffed excitedly, a sly glint in his eyes. "Then let's get it done quickly. Once we're inside, the brothers can have a good meal."

The crowd excitedly gathered around the train, with some even crouching down near the windows.

He stared excitedly at the small tool in the third brother's hand.

The third brother remained silent, quietly fiddling with his work.

The soft, rustling sounds were like those of a little mouse.

Thirty seconds passed, and the slanted-eyed man was still excited.

A minute passed, and the slanted eyes became more composed.

Three minutes passed, and the slanted-eye man's face was tense.

Five minutes passed, and the man with the droopy eyes looked gloomy.

Ten minutes passed, and the droopy eyelids twitched.

"Is it that old Wang's wife left the door open for you?"

Dog Brother made a sarcastic remark, neither too harsh nor too mild.

"Logically, this should have been opened by now. This kind of lock is like this..." The third brother's hands trembled as he tried to twist the lock, but it wouldn't budge.

"Useless!" Hu Tou grabbed Lao San's collar, his face shadowed by the light from Lao San's hand. "Didn't you say there wasn't a lock you couldn't open?"

"Give me ten minutes," the third brother said, cold sweat mingling with rain as the screwdriver scraped against the keyhole.

The sound of zombies' dragging footsteps came from afar, and the low growls of the horde of zombies were mixed with the sound of rain. The hands of the group holding machetes became increasingly damp.

"Hurry up!" Hu Tou cursed under his breath.

Five minutes later, the door lock suddenly made a crisp creaking sound.

The group looked over and saw that the screwdriver in the third brother's hand was broken inside.

His slanted eyes and face were completely pale; his gloomy expression seemed to drip water. "Third brother, you've been with me for a year now, haven't you?"

The third brother's face was more ashen than if he were crying. "Hu Tou, give me another chance..."

"Don't rush, how about trying this?"

Someone handed over a pair of needle-nose pliers, and the third brother was overjoyed, quickly reaching for them, saying, "This will do, this will do."

His hand, halfway outstretched, suddenly froze, looking as if he'd seen a ghost. A figure, completely concealed in darkness, stood inside the car window, handing a pair of pliers through the blast netting.

Suddenly, raindrops hit the window frame, and the jumping raindrops, gleaming coldly, illuminated a young face with a gentle smile.

The man with the slanted eyes standing to the side was also startled and shocked, never expecting that the target of their scheme had been right beside them all along.

Ignoring the cold sweat streaming into his eyes, he instinctively reached for the pistol at his waist.

"Don't you need it..."

Su Huan's smile faded, and he loosened his grip on the pliers.

The pliers crashed to the ground, splashing water everywhere.

Steel, rainy night—this is his home turf.

Su Huan sighed inwardly as high-voltage current surged into the train from beneath his feet.

The cold blue arc of electricity, like a long sword, was drawn by the raindrops in the air, transforming into thousands of blue threads that suddenly slashed at the people outside the train.

The slanted-eye man's hair stood on end, as if he had been stabbed hard, and his muscles were tense with pain.

He only managed to draw his gun halfway before his whole body started convulsing.

His hands were pressed against his waist, and his eyes rolled back.

"Bang bang..."

A series of thuds sounded as people fell to the ground.

After a while, Diaoyan recovered and his muscles were no longer locked. He struggled to get up and beg for mercy.

"Snapped--"

Another arc of electricity flashed, producing a crackling sound.

This time, the slanted-eyes lay obediently in the mud and stopped struggling.

"It would be so much better to just buy a ticket honestly, instead of resorting to crooked methods."

As Su Huan muttered to himself, an invisible wave of energy emanated from beneath his feet, its edge just touching the body of the slanted-eye man on the ground.

"Level 1 Universal Perception"

……

Inside storage compartment number 6, the nightlights provided steady illumination.

Gao Zhe stood in the middle of the bridge, his only remaining right hand holding a piece of rebar, frowning as he looked at the metal gate in front of him, which resembled a hedgehog.

The tips of the spikes were tinged with crimson.

Through the gap in the metal, you can see a young man in a black shirt sitting upright in a wheelchair, his eyes beneath his tousled hair filled with seriousness.

If he had both hands, he was confident he could break through the gate with a single blow and kill the opponent in one strike.

After all, the boy has difficulty moving around.

But now that he's missing a hand, any forced breakthrough will only result in a one-for-one trade.

“Su said you’re dangerous,” Qi Xiaoba said, staring at Gao Zhe.

While observing the other person's condition, Gao Zhe retorted sarcastically without hesitation, "You are more dangerous than me."

Clear footsteps sounded from across the door. Seeing Su Huan walking over leisurely, Gao Zhe knew his chance was gone.

He sighed inwardly. He had thought that Brother Gou might fall, but he hadn't expected it to happen so quickly.

From beginning to end, he has only exchanged one move with Qi Xiaoba.

"Mr. Gao, is something the matter that keeps you up so late? The train offers late-night snacks."

Su Huan wore a fake smile, his eyes cold.

Gao Zhe turned and left without uttering a single harsh word.

He might not be able to handle one person, let alone two people in a cramped train carriage. He simply has no chance.

Forcing a move will result in being controlled to death, just like that Night Demon.

Unless... Su Huan leaves the train.

"Wait a minute, I have a small job here. I wonder if Mr. Gao would be interested?"
