Chapter 193 The Crown of Wisdom
The portrait that Alwen painted for Dui was framed and hung in Dui's private living room.

As for the portrait that Dui drew for Alwen, Alwen kept it, intending to take it back to the Valley of the Dead as a keepsake.

In the painting, Duy and Alwen move back and forth between the two frames, sometimes together in Duy's frame, sometimes in Alwen's frame, and sometimes they even disappear together to go on a date somewhere else.

Dui was quite envious of this.

While he was out there working himself to the bone, the figure in the painting was doing nothing, spending all his time on dates.

In the following days, Dui also drew portraits of the giant eagle Sorondo, the dragon Smaug, the basilisk Herpo, and the giant octopus Kraken in the Black Lake below the mountain.

At Smaug's insistence, they even added mountains of gold to the painting of Smaug.

Dui couldn't bear to look at the portrait of Smaug rolling around happily in the gold mine; he felt ashamed to even hang the portrait in the hall.

The matter of the portrait has come to an end.

Next, Dui prepared to start crafting the alchemical items he had obtained from previous check-ins.

These are the Ravenclaw tiara and the Hufflepuff Cup.

The two alchemical artifacts represent the magical achievements of Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff respectively, and are two top-tier magical creations.

It is extremely difficult and time-consuming to make successfully, and it is impossible to make them simultaneously.

Therefore, Dui needs to choose one of them as his immediate strategy target.

Dui hesitated for a moment between the two.

The Ravenclaw tiara can enhance the wearer's wisdom, or rather, it can greatly stimulate a person's mental potential, making the brain work at high speed, thus greatly helping and improving learning knowledge and practicing magic.

The Hufflepuff Cup is equally impressive, possessing not only powerful healing abilities but also the capacity to absorb and store magical energy, nourishing the user's body and magic.

Not to mention, it can also conjure up magical food and wine.

It can be described as a powerful magical item that combines life-saving, nourishing, and practical functions.

However, Duy ultimately decided to choose the Ravenclaw tiara first.

While the Hufflepuff Cup is powerful, it is essentially defensive in nature, and its ability to nourish and enhance magic is more noticeable with long-term use; its effects are not obvious in the short term.

The Ravenclaw crown, however, can boost Dui's mental capacity to its limit, granting him higher intelligence and allowing him to achieve a significant improvement in a short period of time.

Moreover, he thought that once the Ravenclaw tiara was successfully made, the creation of the Hufflepuff Cup would become much easier with the wisdom of the tiara.

Having decided to make the crown, Dui began preparing the necessary materials.

When Alvin heard that Dui was going to create a magical item that could increase intelligence, she was very surprised and, as Dui's assistant, she also joined in to create the item together.

Dui first presented a beautiful and magnificent white tree crown.

The entire crown is bright silver, as if woven from branches of holy white trees. Lifelike wide and narrow leaves match each other in a staggered manner. The bends and folds of the leaves are natural and smooth, making it look lifelike as if blown by a breeze.

And in the middle of the holy white tree crown, a dazzling white diamond shining with starlight is embedded in it.

The light emitted by the gem is very dazzling, but not dazzling, just like a star inlaid in a crown.

This is a crown gifted by Galadriel after the castle was completed. The crown was designed by Alvin, and the white diamond on it is a magical gem that Galadriel infused with starlight.

The crown was so magnificent, precious, and eye-catching that Dui usually kept it to himself and only wore it on major holidays, celebrations, or occasions.

He plans to use this crown as a medium to create a Ravenclaw crown that can enhance wisdom.

Dui took out a bottle of spiritual mercury collected from the Grey Harbor, inscribed runes on the crystal bottle with mithril solution, and then placed it on the highest tower of Amonsur Tower to receive moonlight purification, removing impurities and leaving only pure spiritual energy.

Under the influence of the runes, the moonlight was absorbed by the crystal bottle like liquid silver, merging with the mercury of spirit, and then slowly purifying the impurities of emotions and memories within.

This process will last for a full month, until the moonlight completely purifies and refines the spiritual mercury.

Meanwhile, Dui used mithril as ink to meticulously draw magical runes on the crown, leaving no detail overlooked, not even the smallest leaf or branch of the Holy White Tree Crown.

Using a wand as a pen and magic as ink, he engraved runes representing "knowledge," "understanding," and "discernment" into the white diamond at the center of the crown.

Duy then traveled to Loreen, The Valley, and the Grey Harbor, where he sought the understanding of wisdom and the memory of knowledge from four wise men: Lady Galadriel, Celeborn, Elrond, and Cildan.

Then the understanding and memories of these wise men were infused into the jewels of the crown.

After the spiritual mercury was purified by the moonlight, Dui immersed the crown in the spiritual mercury, allowing the crown to absorb spiritual energy.

The jewels on the crown radiated an ever-shining light of wisdom, bathing those within it and making their minds clearer and their thoughts run faster.

Dui waited for the day Mercury would appear in the sky, after the crown had absorbed all the pure spiritual mercury.

Mercury has another name in Middle-earth: Elenmiri, the planet created by Varda, the goddess of the stars in the Valar, for her firstborn children.

In the magical world's astronomy classes and astrology, Mercury symbolizes thought and communication; it is the planet of "wisdom."

On a night when Mercury was in the sky, Dui and Alwen arrived at the highest point of Amonsur Tower.

On the massive stone platform, Dui used the crown as the center and drew a three-layered nested magic circle with mithril.

The outermost layer is engraved with runes symbolizing wisdom, thus gathering spiritual energy. The middle layer depicts "thought circuits," resembling a network pattern similar to neurons in the brain, connecting to the central crown and constructing energy conduction channels.

The innermost layer is inscribed with the "Resonance Core," which is a ring entwined by two snakes. The snakes are composed of countless runes and serve as the energy hub of the entire magic array.

When Mercury reaches its highest point in the sky, its starlight illuminates the array on the stone platform.

Dui placed his staff against the array, chanted an ancient incantation, and channeled his magical power into the array through the staff.

The formation was activated, emitting a dazzling silver light. A brilliant beam shot into the sky, illuminating the entire tower and echoing the planet Mercury in the heavens.

Mercury suddenly became incredibly bright, its brilliance even surpassing that of Eyarendil, the brightest star in the sky.

Blue starlight descended from the sky, was guided and projected into the array, causing the runes to light up in sequence, forming a stable magic field.

Such a huge commotion, and the pillar of starlight that was projected down, drew different expressions from people all over Middle-earth. Apart from Galadriel, Elrond, and others who already knew the situation, everyone was making guesses.

Meanwhile, the residents near Windrise, especially those in Hogsmeade Town at the foot of the mountain, looked at the pillar of starlight on the castle tower with awe and reverence, knowing that it must have been caused by their mysterious and unpredictable lord.

Dui was unaware of the situation outside. He was forcefully channeling his magic power to maintain the formation and guide more stellar energy into the crown.

However, he had clearly underestimated the energy required for the crown, and his magic power was being consumed rapidly, making him feel somewhat strained.

Alvin, who was standing nearby, also noticed Dui's condition. She looked worried and immediately raised her wand, continuously pouring her own magic into the array to relieve Dui's pressure.

As the daughter of Elrond and the granddaughter of Galadriel and Celeborn, Alvin possesses the power of many powerful bloodlines, and in terms of total magical power, even Dui cannot match her.

With her magic added, Dui's pressure was greatly reduced, and he breathed a sigh of relief.

As time passed, more and more stellar power gathered within the formation, continuously flowing into the crown.

The crown became increasingly extraordinary, especially the white jewel on it, which emitted a brighter and brighter light of wisdom. Dui and Alwen, standing outside the formation, could feel their thoughts working faster.

The formation remained in place until the latter half of the night, when Mercury moved to the west and its starlight dwindled, finally ceasing.

The runes of the formation dimmed again, becoming completely still, leaving only the crown at the very center lying there quietly.

The crown was different now; the white diamonds on it had dimmed and were no longer as dazzling as before, but instead emitted a faint blue light.

However, upon closer inspection, one can discover that the gemstone contains endless wisdom, instantly clearing the mind and sparking inspiration.

Dui stepped forward, bent down, and picked up the crown, examining it closely.

"Duir, did it work?" Alwen asked curiously.

“You’ll know once you try,” Dui said, then put the crown on his head.

In an instant, Dui felt his consciousness being elevated infinitely, his brain processing speed increasing countless times, and his understanding of knowledge and his efficiency in analyzing problems reaching a certain level.

Not only that, he also possessed the ability to remember everything he saw, and memories that were once buried deep in his mind were unearthed and became very clear.

If his past memories were enhanced after the time travel, his speed changed from that of an ordinary bicycle to that of an electric car.

Now that he's wearing the crown, it's like he's been strapped to a rocket, possessing the most brilliant mind.

"How are you, Duir? How are you feeling?" Alwen looked at him with concern.

Dui didn't know how to express this feeling, so he replied in a calm voice, "I feel that the door to wisdom has been opened to me, and endless knowledge is within my grasp."

Alwen watched as Dui became a completely different person after donning the crown, showing little emotional fluctuation, which made her somewhat worried.

Seeing Alvin's worried expression, Dui removed the crown from his head, and his calm, expressionless eyes regained their composure, showing a change in emotion.

He reassured her, "Don't worry, this is just a side effect of wearing the crown. While it enhances wisdom, it inevitably allows reason to prevail, suppressing emotional fluctuations and making people more rational."

But as soon as the crown is removed, he will immediately return to normal, and his personality will not be affected.

As he spoke, he placed the crown on Alvin's head, letting her experience it as well.

After donning the crown, Alvin's demeanor changed completely. Her eyes became deeper and more serene, and her aura became cool and distant, like a goddess on a snow-capped mountain, exuding wisdom and insight.

For a moment, Alvin looked more like Galadriel.

Alvin didn't wear the crown for long before taking it off and transforming back into the gentle Princess Twilight Star.

Holding the crown in both hands, her smile radiant, she congratulated Duir: "Congratulations, Duir! You have created a wondrous object, a treasure that can enhance wisdom so greatly that many who seek it will flock to it!"

"By the way, what name are you going to give it?"

Dui shook his head. "The crown is a work we created together. I hope you can help me choose a name for it this time, so that it will be associated with both of our names in the future!"

Alvin's eyes curved slightly, her lips curved upward, and her eyes were full of laughter. She did not refuse Dui's request.

She looked at the exquisite crown in her hand, her red lips slightly parted, and said, "Reldir, its name is Rieldir."

“Reldir? Crown of Wisdom?” Dui was surprised for a moment, then smiled and nodded. “What a nice name!”
