Chapter 28 Welcoming the Zombie Horde

As soon as he finished speaking, Gavin picked up his binoculars and silently observed the road in Ennis's direction.

Meanwhile, on the billboards in the direction of Palmer.

Eugene crouched low, gripping the steel pillar at the edge of the billboard tightly, and cursed at William.

"I must be fucking crazy to play this damn hero game with you. I must have blown my brain out from smoking marijuana!"

"Fuck, why should I care if my sister is dead or alive? Let her live or die, I'm not doing enough to myself, and what about your damn brother!"

"Damn it, I have this feeling like the zombies can see me the moment they look up. No way, I have to go back. Maybe the stew is ready by then. Even if I'm going to die, I should at least have something to eat, damn it!"

Amidst the laughter, Eugene pulled out an 8x scope, propped it up in front of his eyes, and peered at the road in the distance.

Across from Eugene, William rolled his eyes and gave a weak laugh.

"Stop joking, bro. We have Gavin King on our team. He's the Gotham of rugby, more popular with women than Beckham and Leonardo!"

"Even if a woman were looking for a man, do you think she would choose Gavin first, or you?"

After saying that, William swallowed hard. The thought of facing a large number of zombies made his heart pound in his chest.

Seeing that Doris agreed, Madison nodded gratefully and walked towards the shower room. But just then, Gavin, who was looking out the window with binoculars, suddenly got up, went to the RV door, pushed it open, and went out.

Footsteps sounded again from the roof of the car, striking Doris's heart like a hammer, making her grip the frying pan with barely concealed nervousness.

Madison immediately abandoned washing his face, turned around and returned to the driver's seat of the RV, casually placing his S686 on the door.

Winnie arrived at the RV door, looked up at Gavin on the roof, and asked softly.

"Boss, are the zombies coming?"

Upon hearing this, Gavin, who was observing from the roof of the car, frowned and said.

"Birds are constantly taking flight in the forest. They may not be zombies, but could be a herd of deer or a pack of wolves."

Winnie quickly pushed the RV door wide open to prevent Gavin from falling at the door.

For her, the experience of her mother falling unconscious at the door, forcing her to drive through a horde of zombies, is something she will never forget.

Time ticked by, and after observing for two minutes, Gavin jumped off the roof of the car.

He didn't go back to the RV, but stood at the door and spoke to Winnie, who was waiting anxiously.

"Go to bed, kid."

Winnie hurriedly ran away, while Gavin continued speaking to Doris.

"And you, Doris, secure the pots and pans; we might be leaving soon."

"So the zombies really are here, aren't they? I'll try my best not to spill the soup!"

With Doris's reply, Gavin closed the car door, went to the driver's seat, and knocked on Madison's window.

After Madison rolled down the car window, Gavin spoke rapidly.

"The birds in the forest are taking off in a regular pattern, which basically confirms that they are a group of zombies moving at a steady pace. However, they have not left the forest area yet and are at least eight minutes away from us."

"We'll decide on our course of action based on Eugene and William's situation in a bit. If they aren't discovered by the zombies, we'll wait for them to come back for dinner."

"If they are discovered by the zombies but do not lead them to us, then we should fire to attract their attention, then circle around the artificial lake to hold off the zombie horde and try to save their lives."

"And if they were discovered the moment they were found, they'd be so scared they'd jump off the billboard and run towards us, trying to bring the damn zombies right in front of me..."

Gavin patted the Colt Python's holster and continued.

“If they choose that, Mike, you should just drive the RV around the lake and onto the road, using the road to shake off the zombies.”

"how about you?"

Madison quickly asked Gavin.

Gavin responded with a smile.

"I want to make sure they die at the hands of zombies, or at my hands."

Upon hearing this, Madison rolled his eyes and said.

"Yes, you rarely risk your life for strangers unless you have to kill them, right?"

"Haha~"

Gavin waved his hand and said.

"Alright, Mike, don't worry about me. Your modified Tyrannosaurus Rex is absolutely fantastic. It's a monster with over a thousand horsepower."

"With the Tyrannosaurus Rex's performance and the open space nearby, it won't be difficult to shake off the zombie horde. I can catch up with you."

"Besides, even if we're just running, those zombies won't be able to touch my butt. Unless Bolt turns into a zombie, not many people can outrun me."

At this point, Gavin patted the car window, then went back to the Tyrannosaurus Rex and pulled out the Colt Python to check it.

After confirming that the magazine was full, Gavin put the gun back in its holster and raised his binoculars to look at Eugene and the other man.

Gavin glanced at it twice, then lit a cigarette and sat on the back of the Tyrannosaurus Rex truck to continue watching.

On the billboard, Eugene's breathing became increasingly shallow.

But William's heartbeat and breathing began to become erratic.

Because he finally saw the horde of zombies clearly!
Hearing the harsh breathing, Eugene turned to look at William, wishing he could curse him out.

But after taking a deep breath, he finally whispered words of comfort to William.

"Are you panting like that because you're masturbating, buddy? Pinch your ear hard!"
