Chapter 110, Page 109: Biting the Vine

Chapter 110, Page 109: Biting the Vine
The squeaky vine is a type of vine that has sensory abilities and can make squeaking noises.

It was currently huddled in Neville's seedling box, making a soft squeaking sound.

Perhaps Neville had fertilized them too much, because they suddenly started wriggling uncomfortably in the seedling boxes, which frantically rummaged through Sheen's notes—although they would all help out in the greenhouse, only Sheen would always record everything in great detail.

Grimm's Notebook is a golden brand in the hearts of young wizards in every respect.

"Everyone, I have to say, everything you can think of will be there, and everything you haven't thought of will also be there. If you still don't understand, then you must not have looked carefully."

This is a saying that has recently been circulating around the Gryffindor long table, and somehow, not even Slytherin has voiced any objection.

"Whisper! (Puierus!)"

While Neville was at a loss, Sheen quickly waved his wand.

The vine-biting noises ceased, replaced by soft squeaking, which reminded Neville that too much fertilizer had been added.

[Whispering Mantra: Beginner Level (700/900)]

Recalling the sound of the vines biting in the greenhouse, Sheen roughly deduced that the beginner-level silencing spell could reduce the noise by eighty percent.

It is much more effective than the apprentice level, and it can be basically silent for those less loud noises.

Of course, the effect of a spell of the same proficiency level is not always the same for a wizard. Magic is subjective, and the strength of a spell depends on the wizard's state.

Faced with Harry's increasingly powerful Exterminator weapons, Tom must have a lot to say.

The classroom returned to its usual state. Hermione was teaching Neville spells, and soon Neville would help Hermione tidy up the plants on her desk.

Because there were so many plants, Neville hung a small tag on each one with the names of Sheen, Hermione, and Justin, as well as the plant's growing date—although Neville was basically the one taking care of them.

Sheehan would practice spells for hours on end until the Hogwarts bells rang.

[Whispering Spell: Expert Level (10/3000)]

Sheen put away his wand with satisfaction, then picked up Professor Flitwick's notes and read them for a while longer.

hall.

The dome was gray and hazy, as if you could see rain about to fall, but the interior remained dry and warm.

The four students who came out of the classroom were already used to sitting at the long table in the last row of Ravenclaw.

There is a large fireplace with a surface made of huge, rough, honey-colored stones that have been coated with a deep, oily ebony color by centuries of smoke and fire.

The fat monk sometimes passes through here on his way to the Gryffindor Long Table.

It's not as noisy as Gryffindor, nor as full of boasting and flattery as Slytherin, nor does it erupt into a "food riot" at the Hufflepuff's long table at any moment.

In short, the young wizards of Ravenclaw are all rather distant.

But that's not why the four chose this place; it's simply because there's a lot of pudding here—which will attract a Green.

But today, even the Ravenclaw long table was quite noisy.

The notice board in the auditorium was surrounded by people, and it read:

[At the end of October, before Halloween, students in grade 3 and above can spend the weekend in Hogsmeade Village. Remember, a guardian's signature is required.]

"My first time spending a weekend in Hogsmeade!"

Fred turned and clapped hands with George. He pointed to a newly posted notice on the tattered bulletin board and said, "Late October. Halloween Eve."

"awesome!"

George continued,
"I need to go to the Joko Widodo joke shop there; I'm almost out of stinky eggs."

"Third grade—"

At this point, the little wizard would mutter to himself in disappointment, then plop down on a chair nearby, all his joy gone.

His companion next to him comforted him:

"We'll go again in third grade. But what does Hogsmeade mean?"

"Oh! You didn't know—it's the only village in all of England without Muggles. They say its pub was the headquarters of the goblin rebellion in 1612! And the Shrieking Shack is the most haunted house in England—"

Of course, there are also little wizards who seem "not envious":
"They've made a big deal out of Hogsmeade, but let me tell you, it's not that great at all."

The Gryffindor said in a very serious tone,
"My brother said the candy store is pretty good, but Joko's joke store is dangerous."

Oh, right, the Screaming Shack is definitely worth a visit. But other than that, honestly, we won't miss anything.

Almost every wizard in the Great Hall was talking loudly about Hogsmeade Village, and even Justin and Hermione couldn't help but exchange a few words.

Sheen didn't care. He was still recalling the knowledge about the Disillusionment Charm in his mind. Suddenly, he seemed to have a flash of inspiration, and his quill pen began to move rapidly across the notebook.

Unbeknownst to him, three wizards wearing yellow and black scarves were watching them.

"Speak, Bruce, what do you want?"

Leon seemed to have already guessed, but seeing Bruce's confident yet hesitant expression, he still followed up with the question.

“Oh—Leon, of course…”

Bruce put his arms around Leon and Pister's necks, as if he were talking about something earth-shattering.

……

In classrooms.

"Disillusionment!"

Sheen's wand swung in a large arc through the air before striking his body.

[You practiced the Illusionary Body Spell once, at an apprentice level. Proficiency +1]

A strange, icy sensation flowed through my body from where the wand struck.

Sheen felt as if he were wrapped in an invisible film, just like in the faculty lounge, making him transparent.

However, this transparency does not seem to be complete. The Illusionary Body Spell at the Apprentice level is not enough to make it completely transparent, and there will still be subtle, barely perceptible light fluctuations.

This is quite different from the spell Professor Flitwick cast last time—where he not only blended into the background but also made the outlines and shadows disappear.

—Last time, it was as if he was wearing an invisibility cloak.

However, the Disillusionment Charm is a functional-level spell, and Shin estimated that the [Expert] level would be sufficient for its use.

The only thing Sheen didn't expect was that the Disillusionment Charm actually worked just like Harry's Invisibility Cloak; it always worked when you felt like you were out at night.

Of course, accurate incantations and hand gestures are also required; emotions merely reinforce the intention.

Inside the classroom, the vines that used to bite the grass no longer twisted their bodies; instead, they swayed quietly in the cold wind that seeped in through the window.

Sheen's plans have changed again; he needs to reconsider his preparations to grind the three spells to expert level.
