Chapter 113, Section 112: The List
Chapter 113, Section 112: The List
Bruce gave Sheen seven small parchments with the words, "Green's friends are our friends, and we'd be happy to help," written on the back.
Even back in the classroom, Justin and Neville were still discussing the items they wanted to buy, their excitement undiminished.
"Oh, Hermione, guess what Sheehan got in the greenhouse...?"
Justin smiled as he spoke to Hermione, who was practicing the Levitation Charm.
Hermione was flipping through "Standard Spells: Level Six," trying to explore the mysteries of silent spells.
She raised an eyebrow:
"Hmm, Angelica pubescens seeds?"
"It's a hundred times better than that!"
As soon as Justin finished speaking, Sheehan placed the small parchment on Hermione's desk.
The yellow and black edges had a soft color, and Hermione couldn't take her eyes off it after just one glance.
"This is……"
Hermione naturally joined the enthusiastic discussion.
Sheen quietly sat down on the soft, sky-blue cotton cushion next to the fireplace. Because of the fireplace, Justin had also placed a round table there, on which sat three steaming cups of milk.
Sheen took a sip of milk and began to read the "Magic Rune Collection" intently. Not far away, Justin and the others were excitedly discussing something around another log table.
"I need to go to Lady Patiffe's Tea House to buy some decorations. I heard that during holidays, the trees in Hogsmeade are covered with enchanted candles. I wonder if Lady Patiffe's Tea House sells these candles. It would be great if I could put them in the classroom to light up the room."
And then there's the Devils-Bans store; I'm really interested in the endoscopes and such they sell. What's the difference between them and magnifying glasses? It's exciting to think about.
Justin quickly wrote down his needs, then asked Sheehan for help.
"Sheen, can the seniors handle them?"
Sheehan remembered Pister's neck, but Bruce had actually told him in the letter not to worry about it—they were wizards, the kind who could use spells.
"Ah."
So Sheen nodded.
"That's great! Hermione, what about you?"
Justin gave a low cheer.
"I want so many things from Wenrenju Quill Pen Shop... black and gold pheasant quill pens, rainbow ink, extra-large quill pens..."
Hermione looked at the list carefully and found herself having some difficulty making a choice.
"Okay, Neville, what about you?"
Justin noticed Hermione frowning in thought, so he asked Neville, who had been looking at the list.
"Gloves, flower pots..."
Hmm... Justin felt he had asked unnecessary questions.
The thoughts of the three people in this room were all very easy to guess. Justin thought that if they really went to Hogsmeade, Hermione and Sheehan would definitely head straight for the Quill Shop, while Neville would be glued to the flowerpots at Devi's Barns.
As for himself, despite saying a lot, what he really wanted to go to was Honey Duke's shop—the enchanted food there must be very interesting.
The fire crackled and popped for a while, and Sheen pulled himself out of the sea of books. He looked at the three parchments he had left in his hand, unsure of who to give them to.
Hogsmeade Village, also known simply as Hogsmeade, is the only village in England inhabited entirely by wizards. It was founded by Hanges of Woodcock. Hogwarts students can easily visit on weekends, as the villages are close enough to be easily traversed by a single path. This path begins at Hogsmeade Station and ends at the Hogwarts gates; a side path leads directly to Hogsmeade Village.
Although it's just a village, it's full of interesting shops. For example, there's a condiment and joke shop that sells all sorts of prank props—like "burp powder," "feces bombs," and "nose-biting teacups."
Examples include the Owl Post Office, the Elegant Wizard Clothing Store, and the Devils-Bans Magical Equipment Store.
The discussion in the classroom continued until the evening curfew, when the group reluctantly said goodbye and handed Sheen the parchment, which was not very full but had been carefully selected.
Sheen glanced at it briefly and could see all sorts of strange candies, such as Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans, Chocolate Frog, Super Bubble Gum, Ice Mouse, Creamy Fly, and Devil Flame Candy that makes you breathe fire.
"By the way, Sheen, please thank the senior students for us."
Justin said so.
Sheen nodded.
On the way back, Sheen did not see Sir Cadogan, and he guessed that the lord might still be in the painting, pulling the sword out of the ground.
He looked at the three small parchment sheets still in the bag and a thought began to form in his mind.
Ravenclaw lounge.
Today is the last day before the weekend, and the older wizards are excitedly discussing what to do in Hogsmeade Village, while the younger wizards can only watch enviously.
"Merlin—I've heard that some upperclassmen in Hufflepuff are willing to buy things for younger wizards. Why doesn't Ravenclaw have this wonderful tradition?"
Michael hung his head and buried his face in the book.
"It will be troublesome. Nobody wants to bring you things when you're having fun, unless you give them a lot of Galleons."
Anthony said as he flipped through the book.
"Someone in Slytherin offered a gold Galleon, and it was immediately accepted."
One Galleon... that's not worth it at all, for some candy or something.
Despite thinking this, Michael couldn't help but sigh.
until--
"What's this, Sheehan? Your Quidditch skills guide? I'll have to take a good look at it."
Michael looked at Sheen expectantly. Ever since Sheen passed his flight test, Michael had been dreaming of flying up Ravenclaw Tower like Sheen.
Climbing stairs is a painful experience, but seeing your companions fly up the stairs while you're climbing is even more so.
Although he was happy from the beginning to see that Sheen wouldn't have to climb stairs, he underestimated his envy after it actually happened.
"Hogsmeade Village Shopping List..."
After a moment of stunned silence, Michael finally exclaimed in surprise.
"Merlin's sizzling honey!"
In short, Sheen finished sending out the list, a narrow, small but thick list that carried a lot of expectations.
Justin had always wanted to buy something to decorate the classroom—a point that everyone agreed on, since the classroom was always bare, and although it was clean and tidy, it was far inferior to the auditorium and lounge.
Hermione, at Justin's urging, bought a lot of candy, which had all sorts of wonderful effects;
Neville bought mostly various kinds of flower pots; he didn't have much money, so he spent it all on plants.
As for Sheen, he could always smile slightly when he thought of the expectant faces of Justin and the others.
