Chapter 130: Gemini
Chapter 130: Gemini
In the hallway, Fred and George took turns talking, raising their eyebrows as they looked at Sheen.
"What do you need, Senior Fred?"
Sheen continued speaking slowly, following their lead.
“I am not Fred, I am George.”
The red-haired Weasley on the left said,
"To be honest, it's not your fault. It's hard for anyone to tell the two of us apart."
“Okay, Fred.”
Sheen said softly.
"Merlin—"
The two red-haired Weasleys on the left and right exchanged a glance, and quickly surrounded Sheen, circling him several times.
"I'm?"
Weasley, on the left, crossed his arms and blinked.
"Senior Fred."
Sheen said.
"oh--!"
The red-haired senior seemed very excited.
"Not a single Galleon! Just tell us how you distinguish them—"
How about we make a trade?
The red-haired Weasley on the right also crossed his arms, and both of them squatted down a bit—they were too tall for third-year students—and were now looking directly into Sheen's calm green eyes.
"You're always the first to speak, Fred."
Sheen explained.
"Even my mother doesn't know about this!"
Fred exclaimed, but less than two seconds later, he covered his mouth and made a "please" gesture.
George blinked:
"Even my mother doesn't know about this!"
"That's really unexpected!"
Now it was Fred's turn to speak.
They both saw cunning in each other's eyes.
"For your great contribution—by the way, may I ask who you are?"
Fred paused for a moment, but he didn't care. Instead, he looked at Sheehan with longing.
"Sheen Green".
Sheehan then noticed the many strange objects they were carrying: a quill pen, a cookie, and a small cage containing a toad...
In fact, the way to tell the twins apart is quite simple: generally speaking, whenever the Weasley twins do something particularly naughty, it always seems to be Fred who takes the lead.
When Harry was in his second year, Fred was driving the flying Ford Anglia when the twins and Ron rescued him from Privet Drive.
Even for minor pranks, he is usually the mastermind behind them.
For example, the person who "rescued" the salamander from the Magical Creatures class was Fred. This way, they could try feeding it some of the difficult firework-pulling techniques.
Fred "accidentally" dropped a fat tongue toffee in front of Dudley;
It was Fred again who came up with an idea (though it didn't work out) – to take an age-enhancing drug to put the twins' names in the Goblet of Fire, and he was the first of the twins to try crossing the age barrier.
Even Fred was the twin who talked back to Umbridge and took the lead on their last flight to Hogwarts.
"Great Green!"
George's voice was melodious and varied.
Sheen was a little confused; you can't just say things like that carelessly—
The last one associated with greatness was Grindelwald, who made wizards great again—for the greater good.
The most recent one associated with greatness is Tom, who made purebloods great again.
So what do they have in common?
"Great Green!"
At this moment, George noticed Sheen's slight change in expression and shouted in a funny way.
"Because of your outstanding contributions, great Mr. Green, we have decided to share this great knowledge with you—" Fred said in a preaching tone, suddenly making the atmosphere formal.
Listening to his booming voice, and looking at the trembling tie around his neck.
"Continuous incantation, loud incantation..."
Sheen attempted to study it.
"I knew he was a genius!"
George exclaimed,
"Quickly teach him that!"
"So—Grin, what do you think alchemy is?"
Fred removed his tie and asked seriously,
"It started with ancient runes... those magical, beautiful, vast characters that Professor Basilda Baburin described? — Oh, sorry, I forgot you're only a first-grader —"
“He’s finished memorizing it, Fred.”
“Okay, I know, George… or—”
Fred suddenly took out a biscuit and fed it to the toad. After a strange expansion and contraction, the toad turned into a canary.
"Canary Cookies, our masterpiece!"
George appeared very proud.
"Some small spells, applied to small places, can produce unparalleled effects!"
"Take a look at this! I think you can feel it!"
Fred handed Sheehan a quill pen, which was no different from an ordinary shorthand quill pen, except that it had been enchanted with some kind of revealing magic, giving the runic characters on it a faint glow.
Sheen took it, and for the first time he saw how runes worked—just some levitation spells and a weaker version of Legilimency…
This led to the creation of the shorthand quill pen, which has been a bestseller in the magical world for hundreds of years.
Sheen could feel the magic flowing through the quill, and sense how each spell worked, how they were combined in a complex and mysterious way, and how they continued to produce an effect.

"Merlin, I suppose you sensed it—if you could make a floating quill pen all by yourself—"
Looking at the somewhat stunned Sheen, Fred said with a smile.
"Just follow the method we used in our notes, it won't be difficult—we only spent half a semester on it!"
George added.
"Then we will introduce you to Professor Terra!"
Fred said this loudly before leaving.
"She's a very important person; getting a meeting with her isn't easy!"
George raised an eyebrow.
But we always have a way!
The two said in unison.
……
Inside the Hope Hut.
The tidy table was covered with a lot of strange things.
Some ink, a helmet, and a work plan book, etc.
For a long time, Sheen was lost in thought.
The conditions for unlocking alchemy were the most demanding he had ever seen.
It also reminded him of Fred's words:
"You should know that choosing alchemy as an elective requires wizards to have excellent levels in Ancient Runes, Transfiguration, and Charms in OWLs. They think that good potions are enough—but anyone who believes that will definitely get a big 'T' (terrible) in alchemy!"
But Sheen’s experience taught him that the more demanding the conditions, the greater the rewards.
Faced with the quill pen and various tools provided by the Weasleys, Sheehan didn't rush to experiment with the steps in the notes, but instead first looked at the Gemini's notes.
