Chapter 192: Hagrid's Hut

Chapter 192: Hagrid's Hut

“longbotton…”

Sheen murmured to himself,

"It means always being at the bottom, but ordinary, mediocre people can occasionally achieve greatness."

His eyes were shining, and Minerva McGonagall couldn't take her eyes off him for a moment.

The professor then strode into the corridor, his anger palpable.

"Mr. Malfoy, Mr. Crabbe, Mr. Goyle, you'd better give me a reasonable explanation!"

……

Sheehan "bumped into" Neville at the corner of the corridor.

He couldn't believe what he had done and was overjoyed; at the same time, he stared blankly at his father's magic wand and silently shed tears.

A handkerchief appeared beside him; Sheen, carrying a book, seemed to be just passing by.
"I think... he's proud of you."

By mid-January, everyone seemed to notice a significant change in Neville. Although he still stuttered, he studied the Defense Against the Dark Arts Charm more diligently than anyone else.

On the second day of Malfoy and his men's confinement, the Quidditch stadium was still shrouded in drizzle.

Under a fir tree, Sheen directed some snowdrifts to transform into a group of small snowmen, who fought each other with weapons made of twigs. Sheen also heard the sound of their skill level increasing.

[You have practiced an advanced Transfiguration spell to expert standards. Proficiency +1000]

Following Professor McGonagall's notes, Sheen's Transfiguration skills have been improving, and he can now use at least five elements to perform Transfiguration:

Flames, snow, water, stones, and mud.

Although he was only proficient in fire and snow, it did not prevent him from having a wider variety of offensive methods.

After a while, Sheen got a little tired. He picked up a bottle of potion and transformed the flames in the jar into a fire lizard.

The salamander held the potion bottle, and within seconds the potion became warm. Sheen drank the potion and watched the Gryffindor Quidditch team practice flying, just like the other Gryffindors who came to watch the training.

But his attention was drawn to the edge of the Forbidden Forest, where strange noises occasionally emanated.

The weather is damp and cold.

The mountains surrounding the school were shrouded in a gray haze, covered with ice and snow.

A few minutes later, Sheen perked up slightly and saw a giant moving toward him like a small mountain.

The giant, wrapped entirely in a long mole-skin coat, wearing rabbit-fur gloves and enormous beaver-fur boots, was trudging through the mud.

Sheehan put away his copy of "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," but to his surprise, Hagrid's eyes lit up and he immediately leaned closer:

“Oh, Sheehan Green, boy, it’s a pleasure to see you here.”

Sheen heard Hagrid say that.

He was a little confused; he didn't remember ever having any contact with Hagrid.

“I am Rubeus Hagrid, the gamekeeper and custodian of the keys at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I’ve heard Vice-Headmistress Minerva McGonagall mention you several times, child. Oh, I hope I haven’t startled you.”

Hagrid's hands, which were originally in his pockets, are now out of his hands, and he doesn't know where to put them.

Sheehan shook his head, indicating that he wasn't frightened. He roughly understood; Professor McGonagall and Hagrid seemed to have a good relationship. He recalled how, on Halloween night, when Hagrid was drunk, he had even dared to kiss the professor.

"Would you like some rock-skin cakes? It's such a shame, you could have enjoyed them much better if you were in the hut."

Hagrid was a little nervous, but when he took out the rock-skin cake, his confidence naturally arose.

"Ah."

Sheen took the rock-skin cake and also took out an exquisitely packaged box with the words "Animal Party Complete Series" written on it.

The box was large, but it looked pitifully small in Hagrid's hands.

"Oh, oh! This is..." His eyes widened instantly, like copper bells.

Sheehan underestimated the popularity of the Animal Party series, especially when a certain young wizard wasn't focused on it and production was extremely low—it was already sold out at Weasley & Grimm's Wizarding Tricks.

Some wizards even staged a noisy protest in front of shop number 93:

"Without the civet biscuits, my house is infested with mice!"

Under the fir tree.

Hagrid recognized it immediately as a complete set—a rare find indeed. Unfortunately, by the time he heard about it, it was too late. By the time he arrived at Diagon Alley—ha! It was all sold out!
As a gamekeeper, he couldn't leave Hogwarts for long, which made him always want to try what it was like to become an animal, but he never had the chance.

Unexpectedly, he now has an entire series in his hands.

"This is too valuable!"

He wanted to return the gift box to Sheen, but he couldn't bear to part with it.

Looking at his large frame yet clumsy appearance due to his inner turmoil, anyone couldn't help but want to laugh.

"I hope you like it. I have some more."

Sheen said.

"Oh! You must have waited in line for a long time!"

Hagrid was somewhat moved.

Sheen didn't know whether to nod or shake his head. He had queued with the professor before, but the Transformers cookies weren't obtained by queuing.

"Want to try it? The transforming cookie will make you lose consciousness when used, maybe I can help keep an eye on you."

Sheen offered a suggestion, which was indeed his idea, though with a deeper purpose.

"Of course! It's a pleasure to meet you here, Mr. Green! In exchange, you must take as many rock cakes as you can—no amount is too much!"

Hagrid was as happy as a child over three meters tall, and he pulled Sheen toward the edge of the Forbidden Forest.

Sheen walked naturally alongside Hagrid, or rather, not side by side, Sheen only reached Hagrid's belly.

When Sheen looked up, he couldn't even see Hagrid's chin.

The two walked through the snow and came to a pumpkin field. Next to the pumpkin field was a small wooden house.

It is located on the edge of the Forbidden Forest outside Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and was Hagrid's home when he served as the gamekeeper at Hogwarts.

It is also known as Hagrid's Hut.

There was only one room. Pushing open the door, Sheen saw hams and pheasants hanging from the ceiling, and a copper kettle boiling water in a brazier.

A huge wooden table and chairs sat in front of the fire, and in the corner of the room was a large bed covered with bedding patchwork made of scraps of cloth. Hagrid kept his pet Tooth, some food ingredients, and other odds and ends here.

Having reached this point, Sheen had completed the first step of his plan.

Next, all we need to do is maintain good contact with Hagrid and wait for the Norwegian Spinosaurus to arrive.

As soon as he got to the fireplace, Sheen wanted to summon a fire lizard to keep him warm, or simply have a small part of the fireplace jump over to him.

But he stopped himself from acting on it, watching Hagrid humming a little tune as he packed himself some rock cakes.

A short while later, Hagrid ate a civet biscuit.

Sheen thought to himself that Hagrid seemed to be very trusting of others. He had only met him once, yet Hagrid was willing to lead him to the cabin and entrust him with the care of his unsuspecting animal form.
Hagrid? He was grateful to have met Professor McGonagall's generous child today, who gave him the Transformers cookies he had been longing for, and who wasn't afraid of him and even went into the cabin with him.

In short, the two seem to have some misunderstandings about each other.

Two minutes passed, and Hagrid looked at his hands and then at his feet.

It hasn't deformed at all!
