Chapter 246: Magic Refinement
Chapter 246: Magic Refinement
"Great Green!"
Before they even got into the cabin, the Weasley twins poked their heads out of the crooked windows.
Sheen looked up but saw no one, only heard a clanging sound—the twins had already gone down the stairs.
"You'd better clean up your swamp before the guests come in!"
Mrs. Weasley roared.
When she turned around, she became kind and friendly again.
“I’m not talking about you, child. I know you’re an alchemical genius. Do whatever you want.”
The Weasley twins looked at each other, shrugged, and seemed unsurprised.
"What are you waiting for! You're not allowed to mess around with these annoying things in the house anymore. Go to your father's pond!"
Mrs. Weasley yelled at the twins again.
“You can do whatever you want, Mr. Green, just don’t follow Fred and George.”
Mrs. Weasley turned her head and spoke in a completely different tone.
"Do you remember? Mom always favored outsiders. For example, your sweater was much better than ours."
Fred ran away as soon as he finished speaking.
Mrs. Weasley angrily chased after her and attacked her.
So George blinked and led Sheen into the Burrow.
What comes into view is a crowded but well-organized kitchen and living room.
They were connected together, separated only by a fireplace.
The kitchen was small and quite cramped, with a spotless wooden table and a few chairs in the middle. There was also a wall clock with only one hand, on which were written phrases like "Brewing tea," "Feeding the chickens," and "You're going to be late."
The pointer is covered with photos, animated headshots of Ron and others.
Fred and George's headshots were placed side by side, and they even turned their heads as the needle moved.
"It's quite dilapidated, but it's still a home."
Fred ran over from a distance and spoke to Sheehan as quickly as possible.
Mrs. Weasley hit him on the backside with a feather duster, and he yelled and ran upstairs.
"He's doomed because there's a swamp upstairs."
George joked.
Sure enough, Fred's cries for help were heard shortly afterward.
"Mommy, will you pull me out? Oh, Mommy—don't go...Okay, hey—is anyone else here—"
A satisfied Mrs. Weasley came downstairs and saw Sheehan observing the automatic knitting needles and the automatically washing dishes.
"These are all minor magic spells..."
Mrs. Weasley said somewhat embarrassedly.
"I think it's fantastic."
Sheen said, his eyes fixed on her.
He certainly couldn't do that; it requires a wizard to have a certain level of control over their magic, and right now, he seems to lack that ability.
"Can I learn it, Mrs. Weasley?"
Sheen made his request, which was one of the reasons he came here.
Fred and George had told him more than once that this kind of mastery required practice, and their mother happened to be a master at it.
“What’s so great about learning this… but of course you can, darling.”
Mrs. Weasley's face was slightly flushed.
"...Mom, have you seen my socks?"
A familiar voice came from the other side of the stairs, and Ron came down from there.
His eyes widened as soon as he saw Sheen:
"Sheen—!"
“I knew you would know him. Come down and greet the guest, Ron.”
Mrs. Weasley said.
"More than just knowing each other..."
Ron muttered.
"Ok?"
Mrs. Weasley frowned.
"I mean……"
Ron shrank back. What should he say?
Is Sheen the head of their Round Table Council? Or did Sheen lead them to protect the Forbidden Forest and single-handedly storm the final room to thwart the mysterious man's plot?
Even if I told my mother, she wouldn't believe me.
“I mean… Sheehan was first in the entire year, got perfect scores in every subject, and was Ravenclaw’s Seeker, leading Ravenclaw to the Quidditch Cup and the House Cup.” Ron could hardly believe his words, and he was getting more and more fluent as he spoke.
"Oh! Oh! My goodness, what an excellent child!"
Mrs. Weasley saw that Sheehan's small figure seemed to be glowing.
"And what about you, Ron?"
Mrs. Weasley then changed the subject.
"I was only eighth."
Ron whispered.
"Merlin! That's wonderful! Children, come to me!"
Then, without a word, Sheen and Ron were pulled into her arms.
"We need to celebrate!"
She said.
Night fell quickly, and Sheehan followed Mrs. Weasley, who kindly guided him step by step in using household magic.
Ultimately, this is also a form of transformation, allowing objects to move on their own.
But it is more complex because the instructions given to objects are more intricate and nuanced.
Sheen could hear the panel beeping all night long:
[You have practiced an advanced Transfiguration spell to a proficient standard. Proficiency +30]
[You have practiced an advanced Transfiguration spell to a proficient standard. Proficiency +30]
……
However, to Shin's surprise, this was also a high-level transformation technique.
A high-level transformation spell belonging to the category of object-to-magic.
Before the dinner party, Sheen was assigned a small house, a spacious one.
It's quite unexpected to be in such a cramped room.
His luggage was placed in the house by the hospitable Mrs. Weasley, and when he entered the house, he saw only a refreshing and bright sky blue mixed with bronze.
The dilapidated walls were piled high with books, and a window was wide open, facing the bed.
It's easy to imagine how brilliant the sunlight will be during the day.
There's also a separate desk, and even a small area that's been enchanted with protective magic.
Mrs. Weasley seemed to have started preparing long ago, and all the facilities were in place.
Sheen will learn refined magic here and unlock the Expert Alchemy title.
He opened the panel:
[Six expert-level intermediate alchemical artifacts and twelve skilled alchemical artifacts can unlock the expert-level title in the field of alchemy.]
[Intermediate Level Cleaning Broom: Expert Level (1210/3000)]
[Intermediate-level Leisure Broom: Expert-level (120/9000)]
[Intermediate Level - Strange and Weird Wizard Chess: Expert Level (120/9000)]
……
He only had the cleaning broom left, his last mid-level alchemical creation; expert-level alchemy was already waiting for him.
"Boom boom boom——"
There was a knock on the door.
"The great Green—"
"Fred shouted."
"Let's go to Diagon Alley—"
George added.
"We need to restock the store."
The twins spoke in unison.
Sheen opened the door, and they were overjoyed.
"We have waited too long for this day! Time is of the essence!"
Fred gestured for him to proceed.
"There's so much for us to do—and can you believe it? We only have a week!"
George couldn't wait to lead the way.
"With enough goods, we will become the best trick shop in all of Britain!"
At least six chapters tomorrow, and I'll try to make it seven.
