Chapter 370, Section 368: In the Fairy Tale Workshop
Hermione.
Sheen greeted them with a slight smile, his expression not much different from the people beside him.
"Didn't you go to Iphamoni? Oh my god!"
Hermione ran over, followed by Neville, who was panting heavily.
"This is Master Scamander... When did you get back? How did you end up with Master Scamander? What's your relationship with him? Good heavens, when do you ever go out without causing a huge commotion?"
Hermione kept firing off questions like a machine gun.
Neville, curious, also quietly stretched his neck.
Hermione's words made Sheehan think for a moment, and he realized that they had broken at least one hundred laws of the Ministry of Magic this time.
Unauthorized use of the Seamless Extension Charm, using a fire dragon to pull a cart, and reckless crossing of borders...
“I am learning the Seamless Extension Charm from Mr. Scamander.”
Sheen tapped the Wizard's Book and answered.
Soon, the Wizard's Book unfolded layer by layer, revealing a wooden door, a spacious wooden cabin, a warm fireplace, and snow-covered hills and forests visible through bright windows.
"what?!"
Hermione screamed in shock.
When a gray-skinned, three-foot-tall, goblin-like creature bowed to her, she felt her vision go black and she was about to faint.
"Are there any regulations you haven't violated?"
After she finished speaking, Mr. Scamander couldn't help but chuckle softly.
Theseus used to ask him the same question.
"You've brought back a fairy! That's absolutely forbidden in England!"
Hermione was anxious.
"As for fairies, it's no problem... Pukchi isn't a magical creature. As a 'human,' as long as entry is approved, it's legal for him to go to any country."
Newt explained in a low voice.
"But, but..."
His words made Hermione, who respected the Master of Fantastic Beasts, somewhat embarrassed to refute them, but after a few seconds, Hermione stubbornly asked again:
Are fairies human?
Clearly, Hermione had read many books in the year or so since she enrolled at Hogwarts, but she still hadn't had time to learn about such obscure knowledge as the distinction between humans and animals.
"Heh... there are many stories behind this. Come with me, okay? The Fairy Tale Corner is closing down."
Newt's smile spread from the corners of his mouth to his entire face.
"Fairy Tale Workshop..."
Hermione repeated it in surprise.
"Oh, I should have guessed."
Hermione certainly knew how appealing cookies that could transform into magical creatures were to a master of magical creatures who had dedicated her life to studying them.
As they walked along the cobblestone path, Hermione looked up at Master Scamander, then quietly asked Sheehan.
"You've always kept things from us. If you're willing to explain, I'd like to know how you found Mr. Scamander?"
Hermione followed Sheehan and noticed that Mr. Scamander was holding a special gilded parchment and always looked at Sheehan with a peculiar gaze.
Unfortunately, young wizards often fail to notice these things.
“Mr. Scamander is an honorary professor of Ifamoni.”
Sheen responded.
"That's quite surprising. So... what's your relationship with Mr. Scamander?"
Hermione seemed to hold it in for a while, but finally couldn't help asking.
If Sheen's identity hadn't been exposed, she didn't believe Mr. Scamander would teach the Unseen Extension Charm to just anyone. "..."
These words silenced Sheen. Mr. Scamander had been teaching him diligently all along, even taking an extra class and staying a few extra days in Iphamony for this purpose.
Sheen knew that this had nothing to do with fairytale cookies.
So... to whom would Mr. Scamander be so loyal?
It's really hard to guess.
Sheen's gaze drifted to the distant Hogwarts, where in the headmaster's office, an elderly wizard with white hair was wisely gazing out the window.
"I think little Grimm is the most talented little wizard I have ever taught."
Newt seemed to have overheard their conversation, and he explained.
Of course, she is also a very similar, interesting little wizard who treats magical creatures as companions.
Before Hermione could be surprised again, they had already arrived at the entrance of the Fairy Tale House.
Today is naturally business day, but they seem to have arrived too late; there are hardly any people left in the shop.
But that's the advantage of the invitation-only system at Fairy Tale Corner: each cookie is numbered and distributed accordingly. For example, if ten cookies are sold to only five wizards, with two cookies for each wizard, then all five wizards are guaranteed to get one.
A large Christmas tree stood in the shop, adorned with glittering icicles and dozens of twinkling candles, topped with several fluorescent letters:
XG.
Meanwhile, voices could be heard coming from inside the shop:
"This shop in Diagon Alley has the best magical items, but unfortunately they only sell two kinds of cookies—Dragon Cookies and Owl Cookies—which is really sad."
A wizard wearing a tall hat remarked.
"Then Merlin's share is used up—idiot."
The witch who was with him said it bluntly.
"Lisa—you always break my heart."
The wizard in the top hat feigned heartbreak.
The witch ignored him, and a phantom appeared and disappeared.
Such scenes often occur in the store, but the acting store manager always has a serious face; it is said that no one has ever seen him smile.
"Dear Mr. Green—"
Just then, Quirrell spotted Sheen and exclaimed in surprise as an apparition appeared before Sheen.
He seemed oblivious to everyone else until Sheehan walked into the store first, at which point he lowered his eyes and looked at the remaining two:
“Mr. Scamander, I wish you to know that my husband has extended a new invitation for you, where you can purchase fairytale cookies without any limit.”
He then turned to Hermione.
“Miss Granger, we meet again. You may go in now. However, apart from Mr. Scamander, today’s quota has been sold out. Next time, you’ll have to come earlier.”
He rarely made a joke about Hermione, who had once fought against Voldemort.
"May I come next time?!"
Hermione was pleasantly surprised.
"Sure, why not?"
More than a year of lying low almost made Quirrell forget that he was once a talented and humorous wizard.
"Thank you, Professor."
Hermione went inside.
Quirrell was taken aback by the title. He looked at Hermione and chuckled softly.
At the doorway, Newt's eyes shone brightly, as if he knew some inside information.
"Little Fire Dragon - is this from Norber?"
Is the "bowlegs" you wear the same bowlegs that protect trees?
Horse vulture—I once saw you riding on it…
Well, I should have come sooner. Everything here is so interesting—there's even a cookie that transforms into a cat's whiskers, an owl's wings, and a dragon's claws—"
Hermione looked around under the Christmas tree, her voice rising along with the crackling of the fireplace.
