Girl, you form the head.

Chapter 8 Let's eat something hot.

"Gurgle gurgle".

Bai Chi pushed the cup of brewed noodles in front of Liu Li Hui, but Liu Li Hui did not take it.

She kept her head down the whole time, her body trembling.

Bai Chi then asked with concern, "Did you just take a cold shower?"

Ruri-e trembled even more violently, and because of the angle, Bai Chi couldn't see that her eyes were already red.

Don't cry, Ruri-e, you can't cry.

She clenched her teeth tightly to keep the tears from falling.

Remember, you are no longer a homeless person. A homeless person has no right to shed tears. When you saw your hometown burning, when you fled here at all costs, you should have understood this and been prepared for the consequences!
Liuli thought she was prepared, so when she was seriously injured and on the verge of death during the day, she didn't cry. She also didn't cry when Bai Chi made inappropriate demands of her.

Tears are useless.

She would do anything to survive, even at the cost of living, and live in anonymity.

Whether it's hiding in a garbage dump to escape being hunted, eating other people's leftovers, or even letting others play with this body, there's no problem at all.

She was already prepared when Bai Chi made this request to her.

But... why does this lunatic never follow the rules from beginning to end?
She originally thought Bai Chi was going to play with her body, but it turned out that Bai Chi was going to use her body to perform a strange and shameful transformation, and also expose her identity and special abilities that she most wanted to hide.

She had thought that after her identity and special abilities were exposed, Bai Chi, who had finished transforming, would immediately interrogate her or hand her over to the police. But Bai Chi acted as if nothing had happened and let her walk back on her own.

She originally thought this was Bai Chi's delaying tactic, or that he wanted to keep her ominous power as his possession. But this guy forgot to give her the key, leaving her, his possession, unable to even get in the door!

Under this series of blows, she finally couldn't hold on any longer, her trembling body almost unable to hold back her tears.

But this guy asked her if she had taken a cold shower!
are you crazy!

I'm not an idiot! How could I not even know how to adjust the hot and cold water?! Can't you even focus on the important parts?!

tear.

Bai Chi completely lifted the lid of the cup and then pushed it a little towards Liu Li Hui: "Then eat something hot to warm yourself up."

You're crazy! I already told you it wasn't because of the cold...

Gurgling.

The rich aroma of instant noodles suddenly wafted into her nostrils, and Liuli Hui's stomach, which had been wandering for many days and was already ravenously hungry, could no longer help but let out a long, embarrassed rumble.

Ruri-e was even more desperate.

In her despair, she couldn't help but feel a sense of self-abandonment, thinking, "Since things are already like this, what else can't I lose?" So she took a deep sniff, grabbed the cup noodles, and started eating them voraciously.

Then, this "Desperate Turkey" cup noodle dish triggered a flood of tears and snot that I had been holding back all day.

Damn it, what kind of lousy noodles are these? They're so spicy, are they trying to kill me?!

Seeing Liuli Hui crying while eating noodles, Bai Chi couldn't help but think to himself—she must have caught a cold. Luckily, he had some spicy cup noodles here to warm him up. After taking a bite, even the coldest body would start to feel warm.

"Oh, right." He suddenly remembered something.

A rustling sound came from the window, and Liuli Hui, with snot and tears streaming down her face, vaguely saw Bai Chi place a bunch of keys in front of her.

“Here’s my key, you can take it first,” Bai Chi said. “It was my oversight before. I haven’t lived with anyone for so long that I forgot you needed a key too. It was my oversight.”

Is this guy... apologizing to me?
Ruri looked up at Bai Chi, but because her tears hadn't dried yet, and the cheap incandescent light in the room was too dazzling, she couldn't see Bai Chi's face at all, as if he had already merged into the light.

But that's not the point. After a moment of silence, Ruri decided to take the initiative: "Give me the key, and what about you?"

"I'll get another set made tomorrow, or I'll just ask you to open the door."

"That's not what I'm asking." Ruri tried hard to see clearly the person who had miraculously transformed into her after knowing her for less than a day. "Aren't you afraid I'll leave?"

"Leave? Where are you going?"

"Anyway, it's not here."

"The supermarket is quite far from here."

"...I wasn't talking about the supermarket." Ruri felt she couldn't beat around the bush with Bai Chi any longer, or she'd be the one who broke down. "So you've already decided to let me stay?"

"Hmm?" Bai Chi frowned slightly. "Didn't we discuss this during the day? Give me your body, and I'll protect you."

I never imagined you would want my body to do this kind of thing!

Shouldn't you do something a man should do?

Ruri took a deep breath and managed to hold back from saying those words, because saying them would make it seem like she was rushing to offer herself up.

“Your uniqueness, my uniqueness,” Ruri said, emphasizing each word. “Don’t you think that’s the most important thing?”

"Hmm?" Bai Chi said, "But haven't we already gotten to know each other?"

"When?"

“When you were inside me,” Bai Chi tapped his forehead, “although you weren’t completely relaxed, the synchronization rate was still 40. Just keep up the good work.”

Who's going to keep up with you?

Bai Chi's words immediately triggered a flood of shameful memories of Liu Li Hui's transformation, memories she desperately wanted Bai Chi to see more of, causing her bare toes to involuntarily dig into the ground.

She never wants to have that experience again.

"I don't want to do that kind of thing with you anymore." Ruri said halfway through, but then realized that her words were too easy to misunderstand, so she quickly added, "I mean, fusion transformation, nothing else."

After she finished adding the details, she regretted it, feeling as if she was trying to cover up the truth.

But Bai Chi didn't notice this and simply asked, "Why?"

“It would be strange if I were willing to do that… I mean, transform,” Ruri said in a low voice. “I have no idea who you are.”

"My name is Bai Chi, and I'm a policeman."

“This level of knowledge doesn’t even qualify as knowing,” Ruri said. “I don’t know who you really are, what you want to do…”

“There was someone who was very good to me who disappeared ten years ago, and the murderer has not been found to this day.” Bai Chi interrupted Liu Li Hui and said calmly, “I want to find the truth, it’s that simple.”

Ruri-e was stunned.

How could he... just say it out loud?
After reading everyone's comments, so far, some people find it quite interesting, while others find it boring. This is all within my expectations, especially for long-time readers. This book is completely different from the previous one, so it's perfectly normal for them not to be able to accept it.

Even I am still finding my footing, shifting from a more serious, epic style to a more lighthearted, entertaining, and playful style. As for whether it will be successful... I have no idea. I can only try to find my footing as I write.

I know that this book will most likely not achieve the same success as the previous one, and Dragonfly Boss has also suggested that I make another book following the same path as the previous one.

  But what to say...

I still think transforming into a magical girl is so much fun, I feel like something's missing if I don't write about it. Of course, if you don't find it interesting, then you can only blame my poor writing skills.

  Just sauce~
