Wu Tian's mind raced, "Extract!"

In that instant, everything in the world seemed to freeze for a moment, and time itself seemed to slow down.

The vertical line between his eyebrows slowly opened, revealing a sliver of light in his eyes, within which countless runes flowed and disappeared.

When his gaze fell upon the place where Zen Master Tianmeng had fallen, he seemed to see a golden lotus radiating boundless light.

The golden lotus was not a physical entity, but rather formed from the purest Buddhist light. Golden Buddhist light flowed across each petal, and countless tiny mantras could be faintly seen rising and falling within them.

This object is the Buddha-nature of Zen Master Tianmeng, seemingly illusory yet not illusory, seemingly real yet not real, the fundamental mark he left on Mount Sumeru.

As Tianmeng's form and spirit perish, this golden lotus of Buddha-nature is slowly dissipating. Petals fall one by one, turning into specks of golden light and returning to nothingness, leaving only a seed woven from countless golden Sanskrit characters suspended in the void, emitting a faint yet firm light.

Wu Tian opened his all-seeing eye and instantly saw a completely different scene.

This seed is like a gateway, or a bridge, connecting an extremely terrifying region.

Through the all-seeing eye of the Dharma, countless dense incantations intertwined into light, illuminating a towering mountain that reached the heavens and the earth.

The mountain was immeasurably majestic, towering into the endless void. Its body exuded an atmosphere of eternity, freedom, and joy. Countless rays of light flowed through the mountain, and one could vaguely see Vajra figures, Arhat golden bodies, and Bodhisattva incarnations worshipping a great Buddha.

That giant Buddha is the entire Mount Sumeru; the mountain is like the Buddha, and the Buddha is the mountain.

The chanting transcended the barriers of time and space, striking directly at his heart and soul...

"Mount Sumeru?!"

Wu Tian only glanced at it, but felt an overwhelming sense of majesty, grandeur, and wisdom. He was so shocked that he almost converted on the spot.

His fur stood on end, as if a mountain was pressing down on his heart. He could no longer maintain his dog-headed, human-bodied form and instantly transformed back into his original form, a white-haired dog about a foot long.

If it weren't for his system panel and the protection of his all-seeing eye, that one glance would have suppressed his mind like Mount Sumeru, forcing him to completely convert to Buddhism.

Wu Tian was terrified and broke out in a cold sweat, but he dared not delay for a moment. Relying on his instinctive senses, he tried to extract the past from the river of time.

As the golden lotus withered, one petal fell and transformed into a mysterious and indescribable aura. Guided by the Heavenly Eye between his brows, it condensed into an extremely complex incantation that emitted a faint golden light and disappeared into the Heavenly Eye.

The moment the incantation entered his eyes, he felt an immense heaviness and exhaustion in his mind.

That wasn't physical exhaustion, but rather an overloaded state of mind and soul carrying too much information and too many insights.

The vast and profound memories of a Buddhist Vajra's hundreds of years of practice were enough to almost destroy his sanity.

He forced himself to stay awake, and exhaled a condensed beam of magical light. The light twisted and deformed in the air, transforming into a spellbook written in the secret script of Taiqing.

"Senior Sister, I have gained some insights into my cultivation and need to go into seclusion for a while. I would like to ask Senior Sister to look after Master Manxiongmu and his wife..."

After doing all this, he turned to Bai Qian, who was standing beside him with a concerned expression, nuzzled her with his tail, and said in a low voice, filled with drowsiness, "Qianqian... while I was watching the Patriarch fight that bald monk, I gained some insights... but my mind is too exhausted, and I'm afraid I'll have to... fall into a deep sleep for a while. You... don't worry..."

Before he could finish speaking, an overwhelming weariness completely engulfed him.

Wu Tian could no longer hold on. His limbs went limp, and the white dog's body collapsed to the ground with a "thud." Even its white fur appeared somewhat dull as it fell into a deep coma.

"White Dragon!"

Bai Qian frowned slightly. She was also in dog form at the moment, so she immediately used her magic power to investigate. She found that his magic power was stable, and although his soul fluctuated violently, it did not show any signs of dissipation. It seemed that he was undergoing some kind of deep transformation, so she breathed a sigh of relief.

Her fluffy silver tail unconsciously curled over, like the softest blanket, gently covering Wu Tian and shielding him from all external interference.

For a moment, only Wu Tianping's steady but heavy breathing could be heard inside the cave.

……

At this moment, deep within Wu Tian's sea of consciousness, an unprecedented storm is brewing.

The golden incantation, like a boulder thrown into a calm lake, unleashed a vast torrent of memories.

Wu Tian's consciousness was like a small boat on a raging sea, swept up in it, and began to "experience" the life of Zen Master Tianmeng involuntarily.

He seemed to have become a young man in fine clothes, born into a prominent noble family in Longhua Kingdom. He was intelligent from a young age, well-read, and, more importantly, had a connection with Buddhism and a clear mind.

At the age of thirteen, he was just an observer at a Buddhist ceremony, but he became famous far and wide for his two insightful remarks.

All afflictions are ultimately empty; under the Dragon Flower Tree, one can attain perfect understanding.

Why search so hard for the true meaning of Buddha? Peace of mind in the present moment is the ultimate harmony.

This news reached the ears of Arhat Baoguang, who personally descended the mountain and accepted him as a disciple.

On that day, a Buddha's light came from the west, shining brightly everywhere, and a golden Arhat statue that reached the heavens and the earth appeared in the mortal world.

The Arhat lowered his head, clasped his hands together, and quietly watched the young man.

"You have a karmic connection with the Buddha. Are you willing to renounce worldly riches and honors and follow me to Mount Tiantai to seek the true nature of Buddhahood?"

Amidst the envious gazes of the crowd, the young Tianmeng knelt down without hesitation: "This disciple is willing!"

From then on, he became a disciple of the Arhat Baoguang.

Wu Tian seemed to have completely merged with the young man from Huafu. He began his cultivation in front of the ancient Buddha and the green lamp, starting with the Diamond Sutra, learning to meditate, regulate his breath, and contemplate, refining the state of "sitting in meditation".

The practice of sitting in meditation emphasizes stillness and contemplation. The core of "sitting" is not physical sitting, but a stillness where the mind is detached from external circumstances and does not follow delusions; "contemplation" is not seeing with the eyes, but a "true contemplation" of the body, mind, and all phenomena based on meditation.

Disciples should sit in the lotus position and first observe the "body form," starting with observing the arising and ceasing of breath and the tactile sensation of the skin, and then carefully observing that hair, flesh, blood, and bones are all aggregates of the causes and conditions of "earth, water, fire, and wind," thus knowing that the "body is impure."
Observe your thoughts again, and perceive that thoughts arise and fall like clouds in the sky or waves in the water. Do not chase or reject them, do not welcome or send them off, and you will see that "the mind is impermanent".

Many of the Buddhist disciples accepted by Longhua Temple are children of powerful and wealthy families. Their desires are heavier and more impure than those of ordinary people, making their journey through this realm more difficult.

However, if one can achieve something, it will lay a more solid foundation.

This is also one of the reasons why Longhua Temple accepts disciples from powerful and influential families.

Those who are born with a Buddhist affinity, even if they are born into wealth and power and are entangled in worldly karma, can still achieve enlightenment and see their true nature.

Longhua Temple may accept disciples easily, but it is difficult to truly enter the sect.

The vast majority of disciples from powerful and wealthy families could not endure this austerity and would leave the temple on their own after a period of arduous practice.

People come and go on the mountain, but Tianmeng, in his youth, quickly stood out thanks to his extraordinary perseverance and intelligence.

In just a few months, he grasped the true meaning of sitting meditation.

Do not be attached to the form of "sitting" or the object of "illumination," but let your true nature naturally manifest in stillness, like a clear mirror removing dust.

"So that's how it is. The essence of the state of sitting in meditation is to break through the delusion of 'self-view'."

“Most people cling to the body as their self, wasting their body and mind for fame, fortune, and pleasure. Only through meditation can one see the impermanence and non-self of the body and mind, allowing practitioners to break free from attachment to the physical body.” With this thought in mind, he sat cross-legged, and light emanated from between his eyebrows.

Overnight, he achieved enlightenment through meditation and broke through various realms, opening his physical consciousness, auditory consciousness, and body consciousness, and beginning to see wisdom.

Wu Tian could clearly sense Tian Meng's arrogance and intelligence. Born into a powerful family, he had a wise teacher, was intelligent, and had a connection with Buddhism. He could be said to have had a smooth and successful life.

He studied extensively in Buddhist scriptures, engaged in heated debates with his fellow disciples, and even accompanied the Arhat Baoguang to and from the palace, seeking a balance between worldly power and the purity of Buddhist teachings.

Ultimately, during a 49-day retreat, he attained enlightenment in meditation, igniting the "lamp of the heart" within him. The light of wisdom dispelled the fog, and he gained a unique understanding of the profound meaning of the Dragon Flower Sutra.

Once the lamp of the heart is lit, one can explore one's own "divine treasures".

The "spirit" in this realm of "divine treasure" is not the worldly "ghosts and gods," but rather the Buddhist "consciousness," that is, the pure aspect of the eighth consciousness, Alaya-vijnana, or "Tathagatagarbha."

Hiding is not about concealing, but about returning to one's true nature and original mind.

The Tathagatagarbha is the treasury of the Dharma realm, the treasury of the Dharma body, the supreme treasury beyond the world, and the treasury of the pure nature of self.

In this state, one must gather and quiet the scattered consciousness, hiding it within the "true nature of mind," and through deeper meditation, observe that the consciousness is originally one with true nature, and not be swayed by the winds of external circumstances.

Once cultivators of the Longhua Sect reach this stage, they must descend the mountain for training. They are not allowed to use Buddhist teachings or carry any valuables. They must endure hardship and beg for food along the way.

Faced with the temptations of fame and fortune, one's consciousness does not give rise to greed or attachment;
When faced with humiliation, one's mind does not generate anger or resentment.

Until one day, the lamp of the heart will burn eternally, illuminating countless worldly lights.

Just as the earth holds all things without moving, and the sea accepts all rivers without overflowing.

The practitioner has achieved "unity of body and mind," where physical actions and mental thoughts flow naturally from the mind, without any deliberate effort, like flowing clouds and running water, in harmony with the Dharma, thus accumulating resources for the attainment of the ultimate relic state.

This is the divine treasure.

Tianmeng had a smooth and successful childhood and was inherently arrogant, but he recently suffered unimaginable torment.

After he descended the mountain, he had to beg for food everywhere, facing the humiliation, insults, and ridicule of others, yet he was unable to display the supernatural powers of Buddhism.

Having traveled far and wide, I have experienced countless instances of human warmth and coldness, and witnessed countless instances of darkness and bloodshed.

He even survived several battles and nearly lost his life.

He practiced asceticism at the foot of the mountain for a full fifty-six years.

The boy who was born into a powerful and wealthy family has now become a ragged and withered old monk.

He could calmly face the humiliation and ridicule of others, bow his head to beg for food, and ignore the thorns on the ground and the pain in his body, walking barefoot on the earth.

This is a true ascetic practice, a trial of body and mind.

He had endured countless seasons until one day, he walked to a house to beg for food, and just then, a woman in that family gave birth.

The baby's cries after birth made the old monk, who had been practicing asceticism for fifty-six years, unable to help but look up to the sky and roar. Then, ignoring the swirling snow, he entered meditation right in front of the door.

When the baby's cries ceased, a perfectly round relic, radiating a gentle yet resolute light, appeared above his head.

The body sheds its physical form to reveal a precious appearance; the mind departs from delusion to see the true emptiness.
This body and this mind return to stillness, a single relic reflects the Bodhi.

The moment the relic is formed, it is nourished by the laws of heaven and earth, and its level of life is elevated. From then on, it is no longer an ordinary person and can be compared with the embryo of the divine.

The Buddha's light shines everywhere, making heaven and earth radiant.

The family was greatly surprised and immediately realized they had encountered a master.

The old monk smiled and asked to see the newborn child. After seeing the baby, he said with a smile, "This child is destined to be with me. When his Buddhist heart begins to stir, I will go down the mountain and take him as my disciple."

"Haha, off we go, off we go!"

This child was Sha Tong, the disciple who would later be killed by Bai Qian.

According to Tianmeng, there is a cause and effect of attaining enlightenment through the sand.

For Zen Master Tianmeng, Bai Qian's killing of Sha Tong was a major cause and effect.

This is also the reason why he challenged others outside Xuantian Peak.

……

Inside Yuquan Cave, time quietly slips away.

A white dog that had been lying prone on the ground suddenly trembled violently, and a low, unconscious whimper came from its throat.

The long silver tail covering him immediately lifted up sensitively, and Bai Qian suddenly opened her eyes. Moonlight flowed around her body, and she transformed into a human form, holding the white dog, which was only about a foot long, in her arms.

"You little rascal, haven't you woken up yet after all this time?"

More than a year has passed since Wu Tian fell into a coma, so she couldn't help but worry.

At this moment, Wu Tian was immersed in an indescribable transformation.

In the Skull Mountain lineage he practiced in the past, there was a transformation concerning the white bone relics, and this transformation also had an inexplicable relationship with Buddhism.

It is a lineage formed by mixing various methods from Taoism, Buddhism, and the path of demons and gods.

The rogue immortal who passed down the Skull Mountain lineage was truly knowledgeable and profound, but he did not receive the true teachings of the main sect. Therefore, he integrated the classics of Buddhism, Taoism, and Demonism and created the Dao Embryo Method of the White Bone Demon God Transformation on his own.

However, his understanding of Buddhism, Taoism, and demonism was not profound, and his cultivation was insufficient, so the Taoist scriptures he created in the end only had four grades.

But this is already a rare talent!

Creating one's own path is inherently as difficult as ascending to heaven.

At this moment, Wu Tian received the memories of Zen Master Tianmeng and felt something in his heart. Boundless light arose from his body, and countless tiny mantras intertwined in the void to form the swastika. An eternal, unmoving, and indestructible state of mind spread out...

Bai Qian was slightly taken aback upon seeing this. "This brat, he doesn't want to become a bald monk, does he?"

Wu Tian, who had been asleep for over a year, heard a cold system notification in his ear.
