Chapter 543 Digital Script
"drop."

With a soft click, the floppy disk reading was complete.
A lone file appeared on the screen, its filename a string of unrecognizable gibberish.

When Koushiro tried to open it in the usual way, only more garbled text popped up on the screen, like a pile of scrambled building blocks.

"Sure enough."

He muttered to himself, his fingers rapidly tapping on the keyboard, lines of code flowing across the screen like water.

He is calling up several decoding programs he wrote, trying to analyze this peculiar data one by one.

"Koushiro, what are you doing?"

Taiyi finally snapped out of his thoughts and curiously leaned closer.
"What's in there? Is it... Kuwagamon?"

"It's data from Kuwagamon." (Light)
Zilang's gaze remained fixed on the screen as he gave a concise answer.
"But its encoding method is very special, and I'm trying to parse it."

He glanced at Taiyi's completely bewildered expression, paused briefly, and explained in the simplest language possible:
"You can understand it this way: computers only recognize two states, on and off, which are 0 and 1."

All the text, images, and videos we see now are essentially codes composed of these two types of numbers.

What I need to do now is find the correct 'codebook' and translate these 0s and 1s into something we can understand.

"This sounds so complicated... My head feels like it's going to explode."

Taiyi was completely confused. He rubbed his hair vigorously, looking somewhat troubled.

The Agumon crouching at his feet was poking at a nearly extinguished piece of charcoal with its tiny paws. Hearing this, it innocently looked up:

"Taiyi, have you not been paying attention in class?"

"What does this have to do with class!"

Taiyi, like a cat whose tail had been stepped on, instantly raised his voice.
"This is not knowledge that we elementary school students should understand!"

"Hmph~ Koushiro is very smart!"

The beetle, perched on Koushiro's backpack, spoke with considerable pride.

For a moment, the air seemed to be filled with a sense of joy.

After the laughter and commotion subsided, another period of silence ensued.

"Speaking of which..."

Taiyi's gaze returned to the flames, this time his eyes softened and became distant.
I'm a little worried about my sister.

Jia'er missed this summer camp because of a fever, and now that I think about it, it's really great.

His voice was low, tinged with lingering fear.

He couldn't even imagine what would happen if his frail younger sister were to come into this dangerous world.

"We can go back..."

Koushiro's fingers paused for a moment as he typed on the keyboard. He was just about to say a few words of comfort to Tai when he realized that Tai had already fallen asleep.

Not long after, a steady snoring sound began.

Taichi and Agumon were already snuggled together, fast asleep, their snoring rhythms surprisingly synchronized.

He shook his head helplessly. No matter how reliable the original character was, he was still just a child.

With that thought in mind, Koushiro focused his attention on the screen.

Time slips away quietly as the code flows.

Suddenly, the workstation emitted a crisp notification sound.

On the screen, the originally chaotic stream of characters instantly reorganized and changed, eventually solidifying into a series of ancient and mysterious symbols.

They do not belong to any human writing system known to Koushiro...

As if he had just thought of something, Koushiro immediately took out the white [Divine Plan] from his pocket.

In the firelight, the light-colored carvings on the device's casing, which were originally thought to be merely decorative, now looked exactly like the symbols on the screen.

"Beetle beast,"

He lowered his voice, "Have you ever seen this kind of writing before?"

"No, I've never seen it before..."

The beetle-like beast leaned closer, examined it carefully for a long time, and then shook its head. "Is that so..."

Koushiro nodded thoughtfully. Since the newborn Digimon didn't recognize it, it meant that this was not a language commonly used in the Digital World, but rather some kind of ancient script.

In the original work, this kind of writing appears in places such as Andromon's factory and the ruins of Centaur...

He carefully saved the parsed file and then closed the computer.

……

The next morning, everyone was awakened by the clear chirping of birds in the forest.

Sunlight filters through layers of leaves, casting dappled patterns on the ground.

After briefly sharing the last bit of bread and energy bars in Koushiro's backpack, everyone's attention was focused on him.

Unbeknownst to them, this young man who was always holding a computer had become the backbone of their temporary team.

"First, we need a safe base to prevent further attacks by Digimon like Kuwagamon."

Secondly, food is key; a stable food source must be found.

Finally, and most importantly, we need to explore the island and find clues that will take us back.

Koushiro stood up, held up three fingers, and said the three things they needed to do.

"Based on these objectives, I recommend working in groups."

Koushiro continued making arrangements.
“Meimei, Suna, Awu, and Azhang, you four form a group and try to find a safe place.”

Then, using the resources, try to build a simple shelter.

"Uncle, you're the oldest among us, so please take good care of everyone."

Upon hearing this, Kido Jo adjusted his glasses solemnly and nodded.

"As for me, Taiichi, and Ahe, the three of us are responsible for exploring the surrounding area."

Koushiro's gaze shifted to the other two boys.

"The good news is that we have air superiority."

As he finished speaking, the Tentomon glowed with the light of evolution, and under the astonished gazes of the crowd, it transformed once again into the enormous Kabuterimon.

"My reconnaissance from the air is the most efficient way for me and Kabuterimon to conduct reconnaissance."

Koushiro took out two small walkie-talkies from his backpack, which looked like a four-dimensional pocket, and handed them to Taichi and Yamato respectively.

"You're on the ground, we'll use this to stay in touch."

Taiichi and Yamato exchanged a glance, both seeing a gleam of eager anticipation in each other's eyes.

With a deep hum from the flapping of Kabuterimon's four wings, Koushiro's figure quickly rose into the air and soon became a tiny dot.

He took out a digital camera and began taking aerial photos of the vast forest below, intending to use these photos to create the first map of Failu Island.

From a bird's-eye view, the wonders of this world are on full display.

Beside the lush primeval forest, a snow-capped mountain peak rises abruptly without any transition.

At the edge of the horizon, an active volcano was emitting wisps of smoke.

Oceans, forests, snow-capped mountains, volcanoes... these landforms that should never appear together are forcibly pieced together by an incredible force, forming a magnificent yet bizarre picture.

"Koushiro, can you see anything?"

Taiyi's somewhat boisterous voice came through the walkie-talkie.

"I saw a lot."

Koushiro answered calmly, adjusting the camera's focus as he did so.
"The terrain of this island is completely contrary to the physical laws of our world...etc."

His movements suddenly stopped.

At the telephoto end of the camera lens, in the middle of a deep valley, a cluster of gray buildings appears, standing out starkly from the surrounding natural scenery.

The towering chimneys, crisscrossing pipes, and a huge, windowless main building all indicate that this area was once an industrial zone.

That should be his first destination... Andromon's factory...
