Let's start over, Your Majesty.

Chapter 115 Recognition

Chapter 115 Recognition
It was only now that Freya realized how ridiculous her worries, anxieties, and regrets were in the face of Yumilia's sincere feelings.

She had always thought that Yumilia would resent her for abandoning her and leaving alone, but the child only hoped to return to her side and waited to see her again.

At this moment, all her worries vanished, and all she could do was hold her daughter, who was crying uncontrollably in her arms, and listen to her calling her "Mom" again and again, feeling an overwhelming sense of happiness welling up inside her.

"I'm sorry, Yumilia. Mom is so sorry."

Freya hugged her daughter tightly, choking back tears as she comforted her.

“Mom, it really is Mom, it really is you.” Yumilia hugged her mother tightly, crying and refusing to let go, afraid that it was all just a dream, just an illusion.

How could she have imagined that this strange-looking woman who seemed to care about her so much was actually her mother?

She had many guesses about Caroline before, but she never thought of this one.

Perhaps in her heart, she had long lost hope of ever seeing her mother again.

"Mom, why...why did you hide this from me? Did I...did I do something wrong?" Yumilia looked up, her eyes red and filled with tears, and asked her with great sadness.

"I," Freya felt a pang of heartache and immediately hugged her tightly.

"I'm sorry, it's all my fault. I should have told you sooner. It's all my fault. I'm too weak," she kept apologizing, her heart filled with guilt.

Yumilia sobbed, burying her head in Freya's arms, holding her tightly, feeling her warmth, feeling the maternal love that had almost become unfamiliar.

Caesar, standing to the side, silently watched this touching scene, a smile appearing on his lips.

"Yumeria," Freya called softly.

“Yes,” Yumilia replied.

“Let’s go up first; we’ll be disturbing everyone if we stay here,” Freya said.

Yumilia then realized what was happening. When she looked up, she found that a crowd had gathered at the apartment entrance. They had all been drawn there by her crying earlier and were now looking at them curiously. Caesar was watching her with a smile.

Although it was unclear what exactly happened, seeing this touching scene of mother and daughter, someone started clapping, and then applause rang out around them. Everyone smiled and clapped as they watched them.

Yumilia's pretty face turned even redder. Being so out of line in front of her neighbors, especially Caesar, made her lower her head in embarrassment.

Freya patted her head and said softly, "Let's go upstairs first."

Back home, Yumilia nestled in her mother's arms, listening to her explain the reasons from back then.

"Back then, Mom always thought that she would go back to find you after she had gained enough status, but when the day came, she found out that you had already left the forest," Freya said, rubbing her head.

"I've been looking for you everywhere ever since, but I haven't found a single clue all these years," she said, blaming herself.

Yumilia choked back tears and whispered:

"I was so sad the day my mother passed away. My grandfather wouldn't say anything either, so all I could do was cry. I cried for days. I thought I must have done something wrong to make her leave, and I could only reflect on myself every day."

"After Grandpa passed away, I wanted to find you, but I didn't know where you went or where you were going. There was fighting everywhere, and I couldn't go to many places. For so many years, I've been asking about you, Mom, and I've been to many places, but I haven't found anything."

Freya felt a pang of heartache and hugged her daughter tightly. "You've suffered so much these past years, Yumilia. I'm so sorry. Mommy will make it up to you in the future." "I don't want any compensation. I... I just want Mommy to never leave me again," Yumilia said, tears welling up in her eyes. She clung to Freya's arm, her eyes filled with grievance.

Freya didn't know what to say, so she just hugged her tightly.

Yumilia pressed her head against her chest, feeling the maternal love she had long missed, but when she turned her head, she saw Caesar sitting on the sofa, quietly watching them.

Upon seeing herself acting coquettishly, Yumilia blushed and quickly sat up.

Over the years, she had always acted like a mature and reliable adult in front of Caesar, but deep down she still retained the heart of a child and longed for reliance and care.

She composed herself, wiped away her tears, and said to Caesar, "Caesar, this Aunt Caroline is actually my mother, she's family."

Caesar smiled faintly, walked to Freya's side, and called out like a polite child, "Freya."

Freya smiled, pulled Caesar close, and hugged them both.

The warmth from family is more important than anything else, and Caesar also felt the love from both his mother and Freya.

After enjoying this feeling of happiness for a long time, Freya finally said:
"Yumeria, Caesar, you should move to my manor from now on, so I can take better care of you."

"Besides, the environment there is better than here, which will make it easier for Caesar to go to school in the future."

"I," Yumilia lowered her head, "I still want to stay here. I wouldn't be used to a different environment."

"This," Freya looked at Caesar.

"I'll stay with Yumilia," Caesar said.

Since that's the case, Freya didn't insist that they move into her house. Anyway, they've already recognized each other, so they can meet anytime they want.

"Then, can you spend some quality time with me these next few days? Mom wants to make up for everything I've missed over the years. I want to buy you new clothes, take you out to play, cook for you, and lull you to sleep."

She cupped Yumilia's face in her hands, and now she could finally look at her properly as a mother, feeling the changes her daughter had undergone over the years.

"Mom." Yumilia blushed and lowered her head in embarrassment.
"I'm not a child anymore; I don't do childish things."

As she spoke, she glanced at Caesar to the side.

Caesar sighed helplessly and said:

"You've been working so hard for so many years, wouldn't it be good to relax a bit?"

“Yes,” Freya said, taking her hand. “After I have some free time at work, our family can go on a trip together. I was unable to be there for you and Caesar as they grew up, and I really want to make up for what I missed.”

Looking at her mother's expectant gaze, Yumilia pursed her lips and nodded.
