Hogwarts: A Chinese-Style Professor
Chapter 230 Three People, Three Faces
Chapter 230 Three People, Three Faces
Hold it.
Hermione and Ron, huddled in their cloaks, cautiously approached Harry and Levi—they saw Professor Levi extend his wand toward Harry.
The moonlight, like water, clearly outlined Levi's calm profile and Harry's focused expression.
"First, feel my magic."
Upon hearing what Li Wei said, Hermione and Ron immediately perked up their ears and held their breath to listen attentively.
With a "snap," Harry and Levi vanished from their spot in an instant, only to reappear successfully a short distance away.
The two figures didn't linger for long; after a breath, they moved again, and then for the last time—their figures completely disappeared from sight.
Behind the bushes, the two people under the invisibility cloak were completely stunned.
After a few seconds of silence, Ron's voice broke out softly:
"It's that simple? Feel, trust, stay calm. And then, bang! The person is gone?"
This was completely different from the perilous situation he had imagined.
"Don't make a sound!"
Hermione frowned and said something, still immersed in the scene from just now.
"It sounds like something the professor would teach to fourth-year students, only taught to Harry ahead of time—and the most crucial point is that Harry got to experience the professor's magic firsthand in this way."
Hermione's feelings were somewhat complicated.
Just then, Harry's voice suddenly rang out from not far behind them:
"Hermione, Ron, where are you!"
The two were startled and emerged from the invisibility cloak to look at Harry.
Now it was Ron's turn to feel 'fear'. He had actually seen two 'Harries'. Would this time travel really go wrong?
"Have you finished watching? Next, shall we use FlooNet to go to Grimmauld Place?"
Hermione nodded, and the three of them set off again.
By the time they arrived at number 12 Grimmauld Place, it was completely dark.
Ron even began to consider quitting.
“I said—maybe we should just give up, we can’t catch up now anyway—Professor Li Wei is so amazing, we can’t possibly hide it from him.”
"But we've already come all this way—"
Hermione's tone was somewhat hesitant.
Harry could see how reluctant she was to leave, and sighed.
“Let’s open the door and go in—Hermione, you cover for me and mute the noise.”
With that, Harry lifted the rug by the door and took out a set of keys.
"Dude, you actually have a key to this place?"
“I’m part of this family too,” Harry said briefly, looking into the room with a complicated expression—it was after this night that he and Sirius had truly become family, and he also felt a real sense of belonging to this old house.
"Alright, now be quiet. That's Professor Li Wei. I'll walk in front, you all follow me, and don't make a sound! Get into position."
Because of the size of the Invisibility Cloak, the three of them could only huddle together—at this critical moment, they couldn't care less about anything else, and Hermione and Ron gently wrapped their arms around Harry's.
'Click.' The lock turned, and although it made no sound, all three of them felt as if they were hearing the sound of a lock being opened in their minds.
They huddled together under the Invisibility Cloak like conjoined twins, led by Harry, and crawled into the doorway.
They were clearly a bit late; even Kreacher at the door had already gone inside—but this actually made Harry glad, as it reduced their chances of being exposed.
Harry, guided by his memory, led the two carefully, avoiding the creaking floorboards, toward the door on the second floor that shone with warm candlelight.
The door was ajar, allowing them to find an excellent vantage point in the shadows beside it—a vantage point that allowed them to see most of the interior without being easily spotted.
At this point, Ron was so nervous he was about to wet his pants.
Hermione squeezed Harry's hand, signaling him not to go any further.
If possible, Harry naturally didn't want to take any risks—he nodded, and the three of them squatted directly outside the door, not even looking at the people inside, but just eavesdropping on the sounds coming through the crack in the door.
The three people were pressed against the wall, each creating a different image.
Hermione crouched down closest to the door, listening intently to the conversation inside.
Harry crouched in the middle, leaning against the wall with his head tilted back, seemingly lost in thought.
Ron clutched his heart with one hand and held the other to his mouth, staring blankly in the direction they had left—he felt his heart was about to burst out of his chest, the pounding of his heart like a drumbeat resounding in his ears, and he was afraid the sound would penetrate the magic and the walls.
For a long time, he just stared at the doorway, praying that Merlin would protect them from being discovered—if that happened, he would run away with the other two immediately.
However, as time went on—whispers occasionally broke the silence from inside the door—the atmosphere was unsurprisingly quiet.
Sirius's voice was deep and slow, a gentle tone Ron had never heard before—he'd had quite a bit of interaction with Sirius this semester.
Gradually, Ron's tense muscles relaxed a little—only then did he realize that his back was completely soaked with sweat.
"Ho-ho-ho-ho-"
Ron regulated his breathing and gradually calmed down in the quiet atmosphere.
By the time I came to my senses, my mind had already calmed down.
Like a broad stream flowing into a bay, splitting into countless tributaries, merging into the blue waters. Ron could almost hear the sound of the flowing water.
He could even feel the flow of magic within his body more clearly, and the faint but real synchronized pulses between his arms, which were close to Hermione's and Harry's.
This experience was unprecedented and left him completely stunned.
Hermione, however, entered a different state at this moment.
The dialogue inside, while a peculiar scene for her, didn't actually offer much help, but
All the hardships along the way were not in vain.
Even before setting off, Hermione already understood that she was caught in a kind of obsession—that all of this would not make much sense—witnessing Regulus's wake was far removed from Harry's life, but what did it have to do with her?
But sometimes that's just how people are.
It's like watching a mindless short drama. Even though you know the plot is stupid, once your emotions are stirred, you can't help but want to witness the ending.
Hermione felt the same way—her heart was already moved, and she had to witness this scene, even if it meant nothing.
And although it had no practical significance, she did find the meaning of magic in it.
All these adventures and experiences have transformed into an indescribable emotion, lingering in Hermione's heart.
Along with this change in thought, the magical power surging within him also changed.
