Hogwarts: A Chinese-Style Professor

Chapter 258 Sirius's Request

Chapter 258 Sirius's Request

"Li Wei—you're here! That's great, I need to talk to you about something!"

During Friday's lunch break, Sirius rushed over to Li Wei in a flurry of activity.

Since Li Wei found him a job as a Duel Tower administrator, he kicked him out and set up a new office in the classroom next door. The two of them now see each other much less often than before.

However, Sirius Black's early mornings and late nights didn't really have much of an impact.

"The Duel Tower opens this afternoon, why are you looking for me at this time?"

Facing Li Wei's expressionless gaze, Sirius felt as if he were being tortured and awkwardly said:

"I'll be going back soon—Kreacher and Dobby are watching over things there, nothing will happen. Besides—the Duel Tower isn't officially open yet."

"What do you want from me?"

"Uh—" Sirius paused for a moment, which was rare for him. "I'd like to ask you for a favor."

Sirius would never ask for help from someone else.

But when it came to Li Wei, since he already owed many favors, he didn't have that concern.

"what's up?"

Sirius looked around—Joely and Camille were both there, and they were both looking at him.

"Let's talk in private—come to my office."

The cheeky expression on his handsome face looked rather funny.

Li Wei nodded and followed Sirius out the door.

What kind of help do you think he'll ask the professor for?

Watching the two figures disappear into the distance, Camille asked Jowell.

"I don't know—I guess it's nothing serious."

"This guy is the same age as the professor, but he acts like a child."

Camille frowned slightly, somewhat displeased that Sirius was taking up Levi's time.

Jowell smiled but didn't say anything—it would be too boring if everyone in the world had the same personality.

"What, do you think I'm wrong?"

Jia Meier glanced at Qiao Weili, her expression carrying a hidden threat.

Before the smile on Joey's lips could even spread, it froze in place.

Meanwhile, Li Wei and Sirius arrived next door and asked:
"Tell me, what exactly is it?"

Once they were in their own private space, Sirius seemed a little embarrassed.

But soon, he hardened his heart and bent down in front of Li Wei—Li Wei was so startled by his action that his eyebrows twitched.

"I would like to ask you to help me with my rehabilitation!"

"Rehabilitation?"

Li Wei put the wand he had already pulled out back into his waistband.

"Yes—I was imprisoned in Azkaban for too long, and I've become rusty. My spells aren't as fast as they used to be."

Did you know? Harry disarmed me during our sparring yesterday—he thought I wasn't taking it seriously, but I actually gave it my all, except for not using any advanced spells.

A self-deprecating look appeared on Sirius's face.

“He’s growing up so fast. You’ve done a great job raising him. If James saw that his son was this outstanding, he would be so happy that he would want to take him around the world.”

Sirius seems to have never told anyone these things before, and he's been holding it in.

Once he got started, he completely lost all restraint and began to ramble on and on:
“I am genuinely moved and happy for him—but I am Harry’s godfather, and I must maintain my godfatherly image!”

Third grade!
I, a distinguished graduate of Hogwarts, lost to a third-year student in a sparring match 16 years after graduating from Hogwarts!
Besides, I lost to Snape before—that guy's been teaching here for so many years, he's probably gotten rusty, but I'm still no match for him. This won't do—if I can't even protect Harry, what's the point of me escaping Azkaban?"

Sirius's gaze grew more resolute as he spoke. He took a deep breath and said to Li Wei in an almost pleading tone:

“I know you’ve always been a great teacher—you can teach those students well, and you can teach those two teaching assistants well too—you can definitely teach me well as well.”

Please! Use the harshest, most grueling training methods on me! I need to regain—no, become stronger than before—in the shortest amount of time!

Li Wei listened calmly to everything and nodded:

"I see."

Sirius was a little annoyed by his indifferent reaction—I'm making grand pronouncements here, can't you just go with the flow and cater to me?
Li Wei, I hate that you're like a block of wood!

"Your matter is simple."

Li Wei, you're really something else!
"Your foundation is still good, but my set of magic theories is not suitable for you."

For a wizard like you who has your own understanding of magic and has been out of combat for a long time, becoming stronger is actually quite simple; all you need is a high frequency of equal-level battles.

"But not today."

Li Wei "ruthlessly" interrupted the eager Sirius Black.

"You need to manage the Duel Tower well first. I'll draw lots every day after the tower closes."

Li Wei paused for a moment after saying this.

Sirius looked at him, puzzled.

"I will spend about half an hour each day sparring with you, and you can regain your fighting instincts in the process."

"That's great, that's perfect! Only half an hour? Are you underestimating me?"

If Camille were here, Sirius would probably understand how he felt when his parenting was criticized.

Unfortunately, she wasn't there, so Li Wei had to come by himself.

"In fact, given your current physical condition, I estimate you wouldn't even be able to withstand fifteen minutes of this intensity."

Seeing Sirius's somewhat unconvinced expression, Li Wei shook his head and continued:

“I won’t hold back against an old wizard like you—so you need to get your physical foundation back in shape before training begins.”

"A certain amount of rehabilitation training, combined with potions and massage techniques, and plenty of rest."

When Levi mentioned potions, Sirius got a little annoyed—was Levi going to tell him to beg Snape? He'd rather die than do that!

“Isn’t my disciple Elliot a healer in the Duel Tower? You can ask him for help, just say it was my idea.”

Although rehabilitation medicine isn't his primary research area, it's more than enough to solve your problems—as for how to give him a commensurate reward…

"Leave it to me! There are still quite a few valuable items in the old house!"
Whether you want money or magical items, I promise you won't mistreat your students.

"Not a student, but a disciple."

Li Wei corrected.

"Oh, it's all the same. As long as they're associated with you, I like them all the same."

Sirius waved his hand.

Having achieved his goal, he couldn't resist seeking advice from Elliott, and waved goodbye.

Li Wei watched him jog out of the office and couldn't help but shake his head.

"They're really in a lot of motion."

I just hope nothing goes wrong at the Duel Tower.
