The hexagram "Litigation" is also called "Tianshui Litigation".

"Xu Gua Zhuan" said: "Eat and drink must have litigation, so it is accepted as a lawsuit." "Need" involves the distribution of materials, and disputes are inevitable, so the "Litigation" hexagram closely follows the "Need" hexagram.

"Litigation" explains that in the course of business, when a dispute arises, one must control the scale, and it is best not to fight if possible.

Litigation should be resolved rather than concluded, and should not be delayed for too long, so that it cannot be dealt with.There should be retreat, self-examination, and caution before litigation.This is the positive meaning of Lian Gua's emphasis on "human harmony".

The development of this hexagram by Confucianism has become the "no lawsuit is the most precious" with "benevolence" as the core. Confucius said: "Listening to lawsuits, I am like a human being; I must also make no lawsuits" ("The Analects of Confucius Yan Yuan No. 12 "), Zhu Xi's "The Analects of Confucius" quoted Fan's saying: "Those who listen to the lawsuit will cure the end and stop the flow. If the root is correct and the source is clear, there will be no lawsuit." Yang said, "A few words of Zilu can break the prison, But if you don’t know how to make a country with courtesy, you will not be able to make the people free from lawsuits. Therefore, I also remember the words of Confucius, to see that the saints do not make it difficult to hear lawsuits, but make people free from lawsuits. The impact is from the law. From the point of view of ancient China, there was no "Civil Law"; from the practical point of view of life, ordinary people will not go to the "court" unless it is a last resort-there is only a place to arrest and lock people, and going to the court is a disgraceful thing .The end result is that the rule of man is greater than the rule of law.

The enlightenment of Litigation Gua lies in its far-reaching influence in both positive and negative aspects.

Six three: eating old virtues, chastity and vigor, final auspiciousness.Or follow the king's business, no success.

Ninth Fourth: If you can't sue, you will die when you recover, Yu Anzhen, auspicious.

Ninth Five: Litigation, Yuanji.

Upper Nine: Or the tin belt, which will be removed in the third dynasty.

The hexagram "Litigation" symbolizes litigation.Be honest in your heart, but be careful when the reason is hard to stretch. It will be auspicious to take the middle route.If you fight endlessly, there is danger.It is good for seeking help from adults, but it is not good for crossing big rivers.

On the sixth line of the first day, don't prolong the dispute for too long, some small disputes, the final result is good.

Nine and two lines, without winning the case, can only flee back. There are three hundred families in the small town (covering or helping each other), and there is no disaster.

Sixth and third lines, relying on the "inheritance" left by the ancestors (temporarily overcoming difficulties), keeping on the right path and constantly motivating yourself, will eventually be auspicious.If you (come out rashly without concentrating on cultivating your character or looking for a suitable opportunity) to serve the king, you will have no chance of success.

Nine four lines, without winning the case, come back to live a normal life again, change your mentality and settle down to the right way, auspicious.

Nine and five lines, lawsuit (final judgment), good luck.

On the ninth line, (the final trial wins the case) may also reward a special belt, but the emperor prepared to reward three times, changed his mind three times, and did not reward in the end.

"Yuan" says: Litigation, up and down danger, danger but health, litigation. "Litigation: You Fu, Su Ti, Zhong Ji", just came and got it. "Finally fierce", lawsuits are impossible. "Beneficial to see adults", Shang Zhongzheng also. "Unfavorable for Dachuan", entering Yuyuan.

"Zu Ci" says: The hexagram of "Litigation" has a hexagram image that is strong at the top and treacherous at the bottom. When a treacherous person meets a strong person, it will inevitably lead to a lawsuit. "Litigation: Be honest in heart, but be careful when the reason is difficult to defend. It will be auspicious to take the middle line." This is because the defense can be justified and not excessive. "It's dangerous to fight for an inappropriate body", and the result is that both sides suffer. "It is beneficial to seek the help of adults", what is sought is a fair and impartial ruling. "It's not good to cross a big river." It means that you will be dragged into the abyss (litigation).

"Xiang" says: Heaven and water are against each other, "Litigation".A gentleman begins by doing things. "It doesn't last forever", and the lawsuit cannot last long.Although "little talk", its argument is also clear. "If you don't want to sue, you will return (and) to Bu", which means fleeing.From the next to the lawsuit, the suffering is to the point of failure. "Eat old virtue", from Shangjiye. "Recovery is life, Yu Anzhen", no loss. "Litigation, Yuanji" means Zhongzheng.It is not enough to be respected by litigation.

"Xiang Ci" says: The sky flows westward, and the water flows eastward, in the opposite direction.This is the hexagram image of the hexagram of "Cheng".From this, the gentleman realizes that no matter what he does, he must think well at the beginning.

(The sixth line of the first day) "Don't prolong the dispute for too long." Prolonged litigation will not benefit anyone.While there are "some small disputes" (which have not been resolved), it can be seen that there are more benefits (to stop the dispute).

(Ninth second line) "If you don't win the case, you can only flee back", it is to find a place to hide.The following report, trouble will be entangled.

([-] lines) "Relying on the 'inheritance' left by the ancestors (temporary difficulties)", it means that following the emperor will naturally bring good luck.

(Ninth and fourth line) "Come back and live a normal life again, change your mentality and settle down on the right way, it will be auspicious", it is the right choice.

(Ninth and fifth line) "Litigation (final judgment), good luck", this is because of the righteous way.

(Upper Nine Lines) (There was no reward in the final court) Because he was rewarded for his lawsuit, everyone was dissatisfied.
