The hexagram of "Master" summarizes the various elements of war: first, it must be a well-known righteous division; second, it must choose a suitable general; third, it pays attention to discipline; fourth, command power cannot be dispersed; fifth, it pays attention to formation, etc. , has an important influence on the formation and development of military theory in later generations.

The hexagram "Master" symbolizes the journey of the teacher: if you stick to the right way, the commander is highly respected, you will get auspiciousness, and there will be no disasters.

On the sixth line of the first day, the army must strictly observe discipline when dispatched. If discipline is poor, the future is dangerous.

Nine and two lines, commanding the army, moderate actions, auspicious, no faults, the king issued three consecutive orders to reward.

Sixth and third lines, if the army is commanded by many people, it will be dangerous.

In the sixth and fourth line, the army retreated and stationed on the high ground, and there was no fault.

Sixth and fifth lines, there are wild animals and beasts infesting the field, and the hunting is profitable, and there is no fault; appointing the eldest son to command the army, and letting the younger brothers command together, insisting on this must be dangerous.

On the sixth line, (the end of the war) the emperor issued an order to divide the feudal lords and families, and not to reuse the villains.

"Tuan Ci" says: Teacher is a collection of people; chastity is justice.If everyone can form a righteous army, they can unify the world.If you are strong and centered, you can get a response, and you can pass through dangers smoothly.In this way, the world is governed, and the people are willing to follow, so that in addition to auspiciousness, it is auspicious, and there will be no fault.

(Ninth second line) "Commanding the army, acting moderately, auspiciously" is because of accepting the destiny and being favored by the king.The so-called "the king issued an order to reward three times in a row" is because the world is unified, and the king is showing tenderness.

(Six and three lines) "If the army is commanded by many people", it will not succeed no matter what.

([-]th line) "The army retreated and stationed on a high ground, without fault", which means that the command did not violate the common sense of military ethics.

(Six and five lines) "Appointing the eldest son to command the army" is to act with integrity. "Let the younger brothers command together again", which shows that the employment is improper.

(Upper six lines) "The Son of Heaven issued an order", which is to reward meritorious deeds. "The villains are not reused", because these people will definitely cause turmoil in the country.
