Another Bad Boy Down

I was 11 when Vincent stormed into my room, early in the morning, surprising me with a breakfast in bed. I glared at him because I hate waking up early on weekends. He knows that but he still disturbed me!

I glanced at the tray in his hands. Scrambled eggs,bacon and toasted bread were inside. There was also a cup of green tea, he must have expected my outburst that's why he prepared green tea.

I can't remember when it started,but every time I'm in a bad mood he would offer me green tea. It became a habit until now.

"What's up?" I said in a sleepy tone. I yawned and reached out to drink the water on top of my bedside table.

"Father said that I am old enough to get engaged." he said in a very innocent sweet voice.

I choked on the water that I was drinking. I coughed and he sat by the edge of the bed, rubbing my back.

I am 11 years old at that time and he was still 12. Fadjie Bar! 12! Were talking about engagement? Can you imagine how shocked I was?

After calming down, I stared at him and asked "Are you sure uncle is talking about you and not your elder brother?"

He shrugged his shoulders and went to retrieve the tray he placed on the bedside table and positioned it over my lap. I sipped the green tea and looked at him. He was too relaxed like what he said about engagement is just buying candies from the store.

"I also asked him that, but he said that big brother was already engaged so it's my turn now." he said while dragging a chair and placing it beside my bed.

Vincent would often visit so the servants are already familiar with him and they treat him with respect. No one needs to look after him since he already knows every corner of our house like it was his. I'm treated the same way in their house anyway. Right now it's only the two of us inside the room.

I sighed and started eating. "So what did you say to him?" I asked.

" I said that I will marry you." he said in a very proud tone.
