Chapter 6.5

Secret Relationship (Kyoko Tachibana's POV)

Summer has arrived.

When I went outside the sun is intensely shinning.

I hate summer because I get sunburned, but this year is different from usual.

I arrive at the classroom.

Kato doesn't seem to have arrived yet.

I have become good friends with Kato.

He already forgave me for tearing up his painting but I don't expect him to forgive me for bullying him.

Though our relationship is a little better than before.

We were able to move forward.

I hope we can get to know each other better and be closer to each other.

“Oh, Good morning”.

“Good morning”

It's Kato.

Kato greeted me.

We were able to get to know each other well enough that we are greeting each other.

Kato then said “I heard there will be a quiz in Math class tomorrow.”

“Seriously? I haven't studied at all.”

Before, it would have been impossible for Kato to talk to me. But right now I'm really glad that he is talking to me.

“Did Umezawa and the others said anything about me after that?"

It seems he’s still worried about that incident.

“I think she is still angry at you.”

Suddenly Kato turned pale.

To assure him I said “Well, don’t worry about that, it's all right. I'll take care of it.”

After school, I am teaching Kato for the Math quiz tomorrow.

I'm smart, if I do say so myself but people tend to judge me as stupid.

Kato is watching the sunset from the classroom window.

“Hey, are you listening to me?”

“Oh, I’m sorry”

I’m kind of sad that it's just the two of us here, and yet it seems he doesn't care about me.

When suddenly.

“Kyoko! What are you doing here, I thought you weren't coming at all?"

I heard a voice coming from the entrance of the classroom

It was Rina and the others.

“You!"

This is really bad; Rina and Kato have met each other.

“Oi, oi, what are you doing here? I haven't seen you since that time, right?"

It's bad, this will turn into a fight.

That's right!

I pulled Kato towards me and I put my arms around Kato’s neck and said ““I was letting him to my homework.”

“Is that so? then that’s fine! I will beat the hell out of him after that."

I lied as quickly as I can.

“Also, I’ve decided that this guy is exclusively for me.”

This should keep Rina and the others to stay away from Kato.

“Hmm”

Rina is staring at Kato.

“Well, Kyoko let’s go and let’s leave that guy there alone.”

Kato looks relieved.

I left the classroom with Rina and the others.

I waved to Kato in a way that Rina and the others didn’t notice.

Kato waves back at me.

Rina and the others don’t know about our relationship.

It was really fun and exciting hiding this from them.
