As The Wind Blows Your Scent To Me

Chapter 252 - Does A Fly Buzz Annoyingly Around You?

The camping trip was a success. Even after days, the students of Grade Three were still talking about it. They had clearly enjoyed the time they spent at Hiraya Falls.??

"My mom and dad agree to bring us camping! They wanna rent a motorhome just so we can go all over the countryside."

"How nice~ My mom said we would go to visit Granny and Grandpa. There's a forest behind their house. My big brother wanna take me there."

"Won't you go to the beach? Why don't we gather sometime and go there to play?"

As summer break was closely approaching, the students were more energetic than ever. They didn't stop discussing the activities they could do in the two months of summer break.??

Finally, the days that were highly anticipated by the students began..

"Chobi, I'm going out. Won't you stop lazing when I'm away?"

After picking up her phone and purse, Himari tossed them inside her sling bag.

"Meow~~"

Himari scoffed as she looked at the unsightly image of an orange puddle curling up on the strawberry couch. Ever since breakfast, Chobi just lied there without any intention to move somewhere else.

"I'll come back before dinner," shouted Himari before closing the door shut.

Chobi just mewled faintly. Closing his eyes, he resumed his sleep.

The heat at noon was unbearable thus Himari took the most comfortable choice by hailing a cab. Even though it was Monday of the first week of the summer break, students of all ages would already flock to the subways and buses.??

Himari hummed to a soft tune as she listened to the newest summer pop songs. The cab driver shook his head lightly, following the rhythm.??

"It's so hot outside yet you're going out, miss?" The friendly driver asked as he looked at Himari via the rear-view mirror, "Hurm, from the way you're dressed, are you going on a date?"

Himari suppressed her grin from widening too much. She nodded with stars twinkling in her eyes.

"My boyfriend is always busy with work but, he'd still find time to spend with me," Himari didn't realize how proud and affectionate she sounded. She happily talked about Kazuya, "Since summer break has started, I wanna do the same to him."

After the camping trip on the previous weekend, Kazuya gradually grew busier. They could barely meet. Himari heard it was because he planned to take one week's worth of vacation.??

Last night, Kazuya complained about his workload during their phone call. Himari listened to him while smiling helplessly.

She liked it whenever her man acting like a child at certain times.??

"I wanna grace my presence at your office tomorrow afternoon. What do you say?"??

Himari asked Kazuya that question after he finished talking.

"Yes! You should come!" answered Kazuya in suppressed excitement.

Thus, they planned to have lunch together today.??

Soon, the cab arrived in front of the building. Himari paid the fare then stepped out of the cab, almost running to the main entrance.

Along the way inside the lobby, Himari stood still in front of a large mirror. She carefully looked at her appearance.

For today's occasion, Himari picked a sleeveless light green summer dress that Nanako gave her. The high-waist dress gave off the illusion of her being taller.??

To be able to stand the scorching summer heat, Himari tied her long hair into a bun. The rose quartz necklace was hanging delicately around her neck.

"En, I think it's perfect already."

Himari grinned. Turning away from the mirror, she headed to the floor of Kazuya's company.

The building was particularly quiet because lunch hour had already started.??

Himari keyed in the password of the office. Kazuya was the one who told her. After hearing a sound, she pushed the door open.

As expected, the inside of the office was empty saved for a very few employees.??

Himari just quietly greeted them when their eyes met. The staff just smiled and watched her walking to Kazuya's office.

"Himari!"

A surprised voice sounded from the back. Himari turned her head.

"Shuichi."

The man's face was weird as if he was so shocked to see her.??

"En... You, are you here to find Kazuya? Dang, what's with my question, of course, you are. But..."

Confused, Himari asked, "Is he busy? He knows that I'm coming here."

"Ah, that..."

Shuichi cautiously threw his gaze at the slightly opened door of Kazuya's office. Himari did the same.

Huh? Did she hear people argueing inside?

"Does he has a guest?"

"...an uninvited guest, actually," replied Shuichi weakly, "Err... I don't know either I should let you in or not."

Himari got more confused.

What happened?

"SCRAM!"

Himari and Shuichi both flinched at the sound of the angry voice. The other staff was shocked as well.

It was definitely Kazuya.

Without looking at each other, Himari and Shuichi ran to the office. Shuichi pushed the door open.

What Himari saw was the scene of an angry Kazuya staring daggers at a woman standing not far from him.

"We're going in circles, Sayuri! I have said it multiple times. Stop looking for me. I won't get back to you!"

Kazuya didn't pay attention to Shuichi who came inside running. He was even oblivious to see that Himari was quietly standing at the door.

Sayuri curled up her lips. She wasn't even affected by the man's angry words.

"You haven't married anyone. How could I stop now?"

Eyes blazing fierily, Kazuya spat, "Go out! Don't make me drag you outside!"

As she stood behind Shuichi who was baffled, Himari quietly toned down her own surprise.

By looking at what was currently happening, a vague idea crossed her mind.

"Honey~"

Kazuya flinched.

It was the voice that shouldn't be here in this kind of scene!

His expression froze as he stiffly turned toward the familiar voice.

A certain someone was staring at him through Shuichi's shoulders, lips smiling yet it only brought horror to him.

"...Himari?"

He had totally forgotten that she would come!

At the same time, Sayuri glanced at the woman who called out to Kazuya intimately. Eyes flickered in resentment, she unconsciously clenched her hands.

This was his new girlfriend?

Himari ignored Kazuya's stupefied look and even didn't put Sayuri's glare into her eyes. She stepped out from Shuichi's back. Her low-heeled shoes echoed on the floor. Her flowy dress billowed around her as she ran toward Kazuya.

"I'm here~ Didn't you ask me to have lunch together with you?"

Himari wrapped her hands around Kazuya's right arm and asked in a coquettish tone. Her man's eyes widened once again as he was at a loss of words.

"It's so hot outside but I still came here ah," Himari kept talking in the same tone to Kazuya. She lifted up a hand and gently pressed his cheek, "Hey~ Why do you look so off? Does a fly buzz annoyingly around you?"

Sayuri bit her lower lip to avoid lashing out at this woman. She knew Himari was purposely ignoring her existence.

"You must be Kazuya's new girlfriend."

Her face felt so stiff as Sayuri forced herself to say those words.

Himari finally glanced at the woman who she found so unpleasant.

Lips curling, she asked, "Oh, are you the one who left him before? Thanks to you, I get to be together with a good man."

Kazuya was still quiet. He was still processing the shock of having Himari witnessing everything.

Himari said those words in a gentle voice yet they pounded hard into Sayuri as if they were a mallet.

"But, why does it seem like you're pestering my man?" Himari pulled Kazuya even closer to her as if she was afraid he would be stolen away. She frowned at Sayuri, "Tsk, tsk, after leaving him, you couldn't find a man that's better than him so you want him back?"

"That... I..." Sayuri stuttered.

The eloquence that she had when facing Kazuya earlier was stripped off of her.

A stifle of laughter slipped out from Shuichi. He desperately held back his laughter. His whole face contorted.

Wow! His sister-in-law was so amazing ah!

Full-on attack mode!

Sayuri's face turned pale before the redness of humiliation crept up. She could feel her nails digging into her palms as she kept clenching her hands.

Himari gave her a final blow.

"Don't be a homewrecker ah. We're getting married soon so you should know your place. My man has no interest in you anymore. Why don't you find a perfectly single man rather than ruining someone's relationship? Of course, you won't find any man that's better than mine."

It's your loss.

Loser.

In the end, Sayuri left while fuming in anger. Her high-heels clacked heavily on the floor as she was desperately wanted to escape this place.

She couldn't forget this humiliation!

Never!

Shuichi whistled as he stared at Sayuri's disappearing figure. After that, he looked at Himari in awe.

"Himari! You're so good! You didn't even give her any chance to belittle you!"

"Of course," Himari tilted her head up, smiling smugly. She let go of Kazuya's hand then crossed her arms over her chest.

Kazuya coughed. He cautiously opened his mouth, "Sweetheart, you..."

He shut up the moment Himari threw a glare at him.

...why did he sense trouble coming?

"Shuichi," Himari focused back on Shuichi. Her smile was bright yet her eyes were not, "Why don't you go for lunch now? I'm going to have a talk with Mr. Hayashi here."

"...I'll go."

Shuichi quickly left. He didn't forget to throw a pitiful gaze at Kazuya.

His friend was so pathetic ah!

Not only he had to suffer dealing with his ex, now he had to face his girlfriend's wrath!

Shuichi knew he had to escape as far away as he could.

Once the door was shut, Himari slowly turned her head and eyed her man.

Kazuya lowered his head, looking so pitiful.

"You," Himari pointed to the couch, "Sit down."

Like a child that was being scolded, the pitiful man just followed the order.
