As The Wind Blows Your Scent To Me

Chapter 274 - Wait For Me To Come Home, En?

Days passed by peacefully. In a few days after Himari, Kazuya and the two siblings returned to the city the other day, another change was added to the Hayashi family villa.??

And, the change had made a certain dumpling extremely delighted.??

"Teacher Kato lives with us?"

Chiharu bounced her upper body because she couldn't contain her joy the moment Kazuya announced that Himari would live with them for a week.

Well, he secretly thought the week would turn into two weeks, months, or...

For a very long time.

Himari's original plan was to just live there for a week but Kazuya had many ways to extend the duration.

"Why do you look so excited?" Kazuya gave his niece a meaningful smile.

They talked about it during dinner. Aunt Mayu had been notified this morning. The housekeeper was elated to hear it and promised that she would prepare everything accordingly for Himari.

"Of course, ah! Chiharu can sleep with Teacher Kato! We can eat and play and bathe together too!"

Chiharu smiled smugly as if she had just won a lottery prize. She even ate her greens obediently when her uncle asked.

The dumpling was still thinking of the days she got to be with her prospective aunt. She especially loved when Himari helped to shampoo her hair.

Kazuya just let the dumpling be with her own fantasy.??

"Uncle, why did you ask Granny Mayu to prepare a room for Teacher Kato?" Izumi asked after swallowing down his food.

"She's our guest so, why not?" answered Kazuya with suspicion over his nephew's question.

Izumi grinned, looking a bit sly. He deliberately poked fun at his uncle.

"Well, won't Teacher Kato sleep in Uncle's room? You two slept together when we were at the hotel, remember? There's no need to use the guest room."

Kazuya almost choked. He didn't know either to be angry or laugh with his nephew's bold statement.

"It's adults' affairs so don't mind us," replied Kazuya with a glare.

"Yes, ah, Big Brother! Teacher Kato would sleep with Chiharu oh! No sleep with Uncle!" The dumpling chimed in, her cheeks puffing.

Izumi just laughed. He wasn't affected by his uncle and little sister's wrath over his words.

Kazuya felt a headache coming.

He can already imagine him countering Chiharu's protests about the matters regarding Himari while Izumi watched from the sidelines. The stinky boy just needed a bowl of popcorn to enjoy the show.

Well...

Kazuya anticipated the days when Himari started living in the villa. For certain, the days to come would be more meaningful and interesting to not only him yet the two siblings.

Two days later, the familiar dark gray car pulled up in front of the apartment building at half-past seven in the morning. The neighborhood roads were quiet because the time was still early.??

Kazuya paced down his steps as he felt he was too excited when he walked up the stairs. Not long after, he stopped in front of an overly familiar door.

"I've already told you I can go to the villa by cab, didn't I?"

Himari welcomed Kazuya inside with a bit of nagging. Yet, even though she said so, her eyes twinkled with joy.

"How could I not bring my lady there myself?" Kazuya closed the door behind him. A smile was hanging on his lips, "It's your first day living there."

A blush tinged on Himari's cheeks. Kazuya laughed seeing that before his laughter died the moment he captured her lips. Himari was entrapped in his arms.

"...it's so random," She mumbled once their lips parted.

"What?" Kazuya feigned innocence.

Himari glared at him. She felt the heat on her face spread to her neck.

"You always kiss me out of nowhere..."

Her explanation made him laughed even more.

"I don't go around kissing strangers. I just love kissing my lady," answered Kazuya in a righteous tone.

Himari shut her mouth.

This guy ah... How could he be so blatant?

Kazuya stopped messing with Himari. Both of them walked to the living room. One big suitcase and a backpack were placed on the carpet. Chobi was curling on top of the couch. His carrier lied on the low table.

"I didn't pack everything," Himari smiled sheepishly, "Only the necessary things."

"We can come and get more of your belongings if you need them," Kazuya nodded in understanding, "Have you informed your neighbor? Aunt Mio, isn't she?"

"En, she'd help to look after my place," Himari picked Chobi up. The feline lazily walked inside the carrier, "Nothing would happen, I guess. This place has always been safe."

Kazuya agreed. But, it was still better to take precautions.

Once everything was placed inside the car, Kazuya and Himari left the neighborhood. The latter got more nervous the closer they were to the villa.

Before finally decided to live in the villa for some time, Himari informed of her decision to Akemi and Nanako. Their reactions were just the same - excited.

"My daughter has been enlightened! It's good that you wanna try living with him. At least, you won't be too bored at home with just Chobi."

Her mother was happy because she was worried about Himari spending time alone during summer break. After all, her mother's trip was extended as Uncle Yoshiro wanted to bring her and his mother to visit places.

"Himari! Do you need me to send you family planning supplies? I guess you might need them ah! Don't be shy and just tell me okay?"

The newly engaged Nanako was unscrupulous as she suggested such things to her. Himari abruptly ended the call only to have Nanako sending more shameless messages next.

"Sorry that I couldn't have lunch with you. I'll try going back early for dinner."

"It's okay. You have work to do. "

Himari gave a smile to the man driving next to her.

Because Kazuya took a week of leave just to accompany her and bring the children to the island, his work piled up. Himari was a bit regretful because she made the decision when the man's leave had ended.

If she decided it earlier, he didn't have to rush to her home on the day he was supposed to go to work.

"Well, I rarely skip dinner at home unless it's necessary but, I want to go home way earlier," Kazuya let out a chuckle. He slowed down the car before entered an intersection, "En, since tonight is your first night here, I wanna cook for dinner, what do you say?"

Elated, Himari quickly agreed, "Why don't I go grocery shopping before you get back home?"

"No, let's go together," Kazuya shook his head.

"Hehe, if you say so," Himari didn't insist on her suggestion since her man was eager to go shopping with her.

They arrived at the residential area a little before half-past eight.??

Himari quietly scanned outside the window.

Two guards stayed at the main entrance of the residential area. Neatly-trimmed bushes and shady trees were planted at both sides of the roads. She also saw pavilions stood at the pedestrian walkways.

Soon, the car entered a unit of the villa.

"We're finally here," Kazuya stopped the car in the yard. He unbuckled the seat belt then looked at Himari, "Welcome to your new home."

He really hoped she would think of this place as her home, somewhere she had a sense of belonging.

Himari curled up her lips, "Thank you, honey~"

Before the couple got out of the car, familiar voices resounded outside.

When they looked at the sources of the voices, they saw a dumpling running to the car followed by a helpless-looking young boy and a smiling middle-aged lady.

"Huh, that cheeky girl wants to steal you from me even before you enter the house," Kazuya complained bitterly.

Himari only laughed, "Let's go out."

Right after the couple stepped on the yard, a dumpling stickily clung to Himari's legs.

"Teacher Kato~ Teacher Kato~ Welcome home!"

Chiharu was so enthusiastic. The dumpling wore a new dress just to welcome her aunt-to-be at the villa.

"En, I'm home..."

Himari was a bit embarrassed to reply to Chiharu in that way but she still did it to avoid the dumpling deflated like a punctured balloon.

"Welcome, Teacher Kato. It's good to see you again," Aunt Mayu cheerily greeted Himari.

"Hehe, long time no see, Aunt Mayu," Himari smiled back at the housekeeper, "How have you been?"

"Let's get inside first," Kazuya shook his head in helplessness, "You guys can talk later."

All of them left the yard. Kazuya, Himari and Aunt Mayu brought the bags and carrier inside the villa. Once they were in the living room, Himari let Chobi out to familiarize himself with the new place.

While the feline was sniffing around, a dumpling followed him from behind.

"I'll show you to your room," Kazuya was still holding to the suitcase.

"You're already late. You should go to work now," Himari disagreed.

Although he was the boss, he still had to set good examples ah.

Kazuya smirked, "What's the use of me paying my staff if not for playing truant for a bit?"

Himari was speechless.

Did this guy actually hear what she had just thought?

In the end, Himari just followed Kazuya upstairs. He brought her to a room next to him.

"There's an ensuite washroom. Just use the room as you see fit."

The room was decorated in a pink and cream color theme. A queen-sized bed with a fresh bedsheet was placed at the center of the room.??

"Okay, okay. I'll unpack my things first so you should hurry to work ah," Himari smiled helplessly.

"Then..."

Kazuya's hand was quick to grab Himari's waist. He rested his forehead against her, eyes smiling like his lips.

"...wait for me to come home, en?"

Himari shrank her neck, blushing once again.

"...en, have a safe trip."

The man chuckled heartily.

"I'll go to work now."

"...!"

Kazuya sneaked a kiss before he quickly ran out of the room, leaving a stunned Himari. His footsteps echoed in the hallway, sounding as happy as his laughter.

Inside the guest room, Himari cupped her red face.??

Geez... Why did it feel like she was sending her husband off to work?

Himari couldn't imagine what would happen in the days she lived here.
