Eric turned his head and saw that it was one of the professors who had accompanied him in the car, and Lupin was among them.

That "Eric" just now was shouted by him.

Among these people, there are various heights, weights, and builds.

Besides Lupin, the person walking at the very front was a short wizard, who was only about Lupin's waist height.

Eric had indeed heard of a professor with this characteristic.

Professor Flitwick, the headmaster of Ravenclaw School, is also the professor of Charms.

Others speculated that he had fairy blood, which explained his unusually short stature.

But this professor is not to be judged by his appearance.

None of the four heads of Hogwarts houses are easy to deal with; they all possess extraordinary skills.

For example, Professor Flitwick was particularly skilled in duels and spells.

Eric drove away the Dementors quickly. The professors had already assembled at top speed after learning of the Dementors' intrusion and finally arrived at the scene.

As for Lupin, he emerged directly from the cubicle behind Eric, followed by a pure white, smoke-like creature.

That was Lupin's guardian spirit.

Through the crowd, Eric couldn't tell what kind of creature it was.

Based on his understanding of Lupin, it's highly likely that Lupin's guardian spirit is a wolf.

Because Lupin is a werewolf.

The guardian spirit will take on a specific form depending on the wizard's mood and personality.

The wizard's temperament changes drastically, and even the form of his guardian deity may change accordingly.

But the creature behind Lupin doesn't quite look like a wolf.

Clearly, after settling Harry in, Lupin also realized that Eric outside the compartment needed help, and thus summoned his Patronus as well.

However, what Lupin didn't expect was that the "battle" outside would end so quickly.

While the teachers who had rushed over from other carriages were still in a daze, Lupin casually waved his hand and dismissed his guardian spirit as well. Pretending that nothing had happened, he anxiously asked Eric, "Eric, are you hurt?"

"I'm fine, Professor."

Lupin breathed a sigh of relief when he heard Eric's calm voice.

He couldn't help but be nervous.

With him present, Eric, a first-year student who hadn't even officially been sorted into a House yet, summoned his Patronus and actually rushed out of his cubicle to find the Dementors outside.

What's this?

Unfortunately, Harry fainted at that moment because of the Dementors' approach.

More worried about Harry's condition, Lupin, in a moment of desperation, decided after weighing his options to check on Harry first to see if he was alright.

On the one hand, Eric, who is capable of summoning a guardian spirit and is also extremely powerful, is unlikely to be attacked by Dementors again.

The fact that Guardian Angels are the natural enemies of Dementors is no joke.

And Harry is James's son, no matter what.

Even disregarding Lupin's relationship with Harry's father James, it was perfectly reasonable for him to choose to look after Harry first, given that Ron and Hermione were still in the compartment.

Another reason, of course, is that Lupin already knew that the Dementors would appear on the train.

The Dementors' inspection of the train was something that the Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts had agreed upon.

However, there was a slight discrepancy in the program.

The original plan was for the Dementors to board the bus and search it after the students got off.

Even Lupin was surprised that the Dementors couldn't resist stopping the Hogwarts Express.

In order to search for Black's whereabouts, the Ministry of Magic would later station Dementors to guard the entrances and exits of Hogwarts.

Based on this, Lupin, knowing that the Dementors were still under the control of the Ministry of Magic, naturally knew that they wouldn't dare to harm the students on their own initiative.

That's why I stayed in the cubicle.

But as a werewolf hiding his identity, Lupin always cherished the job opportunities he could get.

He was pleasantly surprised to receive an invitation from Dumbledore to become a professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts.

If Dumbledore found out on his first day at work that a first-year student had gone to fight a Dementor in his presence, that would be something Lupin would also not want to see.

So after confirming that Harry was alright, Lupin immediately summoned his Patronus and rushed out.

But I didn't expect...

Eric single-handedly took down all the Dementors!

Lupin looked at the messy carriage and Eric standing smiling in front of him with a strange expression, and fell silent.

The other professors following behind him did the same.

They were notified that a Dementor had broken into the train, so they hurriedly gathered together to try and drive the Dementor out.

But now, where are the Dementors?!

Standing before them was clearly only a lower-grade student, and a train carriage that looked like a disaster scene.

Where did the Dementors go?

The professors were a little confused.

Flitwick was the first to recover. He looked at Lupin suspiciously, then said to Eric, "Young man, who are you? Have you seen any Dementors?"

Eric smiled but didn't say anything, instead looking at Lupin.

Seeing this, Flitwick also looked at Lupin.

Lupin had no choice but to bite the bullet and say, seeing everyone staring at him, "Professor Flitwick, this is Eric Clapton, a first-year student."

"As for the Dementors, I think... he must have driven them all away by himself."

As soon as he finished speaking, the previously noisy atmosphere in the carriage froze and became completely silent.

Several professors didn't immediately grasp the point; they simply nodded in agreement with Lupin's statement out of habit.

They also knew Lupin; two of the professors were Lupin's classmates from his student days.

After fully understanding what Lupin had just said, everyone looked at Eric with unanimous horror.

What was he saying just now?

Is Lupin serious?

How could such a small child drive away the Dementors that had broken into the train car on his own?

Why did they decorate the train carriage like this?

Eric had anticipated their reaction and did not leave, but simply stood there quietly with a smile.

Flitwick also found Lupin's statement hard to believe, and subconsciously looked at a Ravenclaw student peeking out from the next cubicle to watch the commotion, asking, "Is what Professor Lupin said true?"

Apart from Lupin, the other professors also looked at the Ravenclaw student.

The student's expression was strange, and he felt immense pressure, but he still slowly nodded in response to his dean's question.

For a moment, the carriage was completely silent, with only the professors' rapid breathing remaining.

Chapter 43 Flitwick's Affirmation

After receiving a definite answer, Flitwick was clearly unsure of what to do with Eric.

“This…this really is…I have never encountered anything like this before.” Professor Flitwick said to Eric with more amazement than dismay, “You did very well, Eric. I dare say you are the best student I have ever had in my decades of teaching career.”

Eric politely replied, "Thank you, Professor."

Flitwick gave a wry smile and said, "That's not entirely a compliment, especially after you've turned the train upside down like this."

After saying that, Flitwick pointed to the half of the carriage behind Eric that looked like a disaster site.

Eric was about to answer when suddenly, a small section of the ceiling next to him crashed to the floor with a bang, raising a cloud of dust and causing gasps of surprise from those around him.

The cold moonlight shone through the hole in the ceiling, and everyone could then see the long, narrow claw marks that had pierced through the sheet metal on that section of the ceiling. No wonder it was so heavy.

Eric could only give Flitwick and the professors an awkward smile as he watched this scene.

“Although I haven’t seen it with my own eyes, your guardian spirit must be extremely fierce,” Flitwick said nonchalantly, then quipped.

Lupin, who was standing next to him, didn't miss the chance to chime in, and said with a smile, "I have seen it, and I must say, Eric's guardian spirit is indeed very powerful."

"Alright, everyone, stop just watching and give me a hand."

Professor Flitwick shook his head helplessly, stopped joking, and took out his wand. He walked past Eric and used a repair charm on the area damaged by the giant eagle. The professors behind him followed suit.

For a moment, the carriage was filled with the sound of "restored to its original state".

Soon, all the damaged parts of the carriage were restored.

The shattered glass flew up again, spontaneously rearranging itself and landing once more on the empty window.

The torn metal sheets of the train carriages were all repaired.

It also includes that huge hole in the broken ceiling.

While casting the spell, Professor Flitwick also commanded the students around him: "Where are the prefects? Are there any prefects here? Come out and maintain order. With the professors here, you are no longer in danger."

The prefect in that carriage immediately stepped forward and began assisting the professor in maintaining order. He was a sixth-year Slytherin student.

He looked a little embarrassed, after all, when he was attacked by the Dementors, he hid in the next cubicle and did not come out again.

But you can't really blame him for that.

No one can force a student to confront a Dementor.

Because even most adult wizards cannot do it.

Moreover, he is just a student.

Only a very small number of students at Hogwarts know the Patronus Charm.

Even with regular practice, even fewer people can actually use their skills in a crisis.
