"I"
The Joker paused, taken aback by the question. He hadn't intended to answer, but the words that came out were the answer itself: "You can't kill the Joker. I've planted Laughing Gas in the capital of England. Kill me, and more Jokers will appear."
After the clown finished speaking, his expression changed, and for the first time, he showed panic. "What have you done to me? This isn't what I wanted to say."
"Y Lang? How did you do that?"
Luo Wei ignored his second sentence and continued to question him.
"I am now the new ambassador of India. If others knew I died here, tomorrow the news would say Superman is a murderer who ruined peace between our two countries."
The clown paused for a moment, but still spoke the answer that came to mind.
"No wonder."
Luo Wei raised an eyebrow. No wonder the Joker was able to hide the Laughing Gas in the capital of England. However, this identity was somewhat unexpected.
However, this also gives us a glimpse into the Joker's abilities. Imagine which criminal, while being wanted by the authorities, could still manage to deceive a high-ranking official of a country and become a new ambassador. Clearly, the Joker has extraordinary skills in this regard.
"Superman, you're a bloodthirsty monster too. Your end won't be any better than mine, until people no longer need you."
The Joker realized he had revealed everything and his death was imminent, so he kept talking, trying to break down Lowe's psychological defenses.
"Your trick won't work on me."
"But you can take that message to Satan and have him come to me in person."
Rowe pressed down on the clown's head with one hand, his gaze falling on his eyes. Then, a blazing beam of light shot from his eyes, piercing through the clown's skull, and the green curly hair emitted a pungent, burnt smell.
The clown, who had been stubbornly holding on, suddenly lost all strength in his limbs and collapsed into the chair. The eerie smile on his face gradually froze and stiffened, remaining frozen in his last moment before death.
"Hopefully there won't be a new Joker."
Luo Wei muttered to himself, turned and left the factory, intending to tell Bruce Wayne about the Laughing Gas. Fortunately, Wayne Enterprises had business dealings with the top executives of Y. Lang, so he could handle the matter.
"Laughing Poison Gas?"
Bruce Wayne said with a grim face, "As expected, even his death won't put our minds at ease."
"I'm going back now. I'll leave things to you. I don't mind."
Luo Wei patted Bruce on the shoulder and didn't linger any longer. He called his cousin Kara and they flew to China together. As for taking a plane, that was out of the question, since they hadn't reported it when they came.
Moreover, super flight is obviously much faster than airplane flight.
"Ah Fu, I'm planning to go to the capital of India. Could you help me contact some business partners there?"
Bruce Wayne didn't delay either. He dialed Alfred's number and then walked out of the factory area. Jason Todd was still chatting with his mother. This child, who longed for family affection, now wished he could stay by his mother's side forever.
Bruce approached the car and said, "Excuse me, Ms. Haywood, I'd like to borrow Jason for a few minutes."
Jason reluctantly said goodbye to his mother and followed Bruce outside the factory. "Is there a new development?"
"The situation is not complicated."
Bruce Wayne told Jason Todd about the Laughing Gas, then looked at the half-open factory door, handed over a few bombs, and said, "Also, put these bombs inside the factory."
"okay."
Jason Todd had no doubt that it was a good idea to destroy the Joker's body with a bomb since it was too early to let anyone find it.
The location is remote, and the city's infrastructure is poor, with incomplete surveillance equipment, so no one will be able to find them.
Bruce glanced at the time and instructed, "Hurry up, the plane is at noon."

Jason Todd pushed open the iron gate of the factory. The pungent smell of blood filled the air. He followed the dark corridor to an open area where many corpses lay scattered about. The one tied to a chair was the most conspicuous.
"You've finally paid the price for this."
Jason walked to the chair, grabbed the clown's hair, and stared at the corpse's battered face, his eyes filled with hatred and disgust.
With that, he shoved the clown aside, bent down and placed a bomb on the clown's chest, then patted him and said, "You're the epicenter of the explosion."
He then placed bombs in several corners of the factory, mostly at structural support points, so that the factory would collapse completely in the explosion. Even if someone came to deal with the scene afterward, it would be impossible to dig out the Joker's body in a short time, or even if no one would come to deal with it, because the authorities might not have the money or energy to manage an abandoned factory that had collapsed in an explosion.
"time to go."
Jason.
Todd glanced at the Joker one last time, preparing to leave, when a glimpse of his bag caught his eye. "I almost forgot to take something."
The bag didn't contain much; it only contained the combat suit and a special hood. Both items fell out, with the hood falling into a pool of blood. The black hood, after being in contact with blood for a long time, became soaked and turned a dark red, just like the head of a demon.
Actually, Robin was wearing a special eye patch, and the hood was a special preparation to prevent his true identity from being discovered. Jason didn't wear one at first, but now...
He looked down at the dark red hood in his hand, his expression somewhat complicated.
Bang!
Jason Todd only snapped out of his daze when a large tank behind him made a noise. He cursed under his breath, shoved his things into his bag, and strode away from the factory. Strange gas continued to gush from the tank behind him, gradually filling the entire factory, but Jason remained completely unaware of it.
"Jason, what's wrong?"
Bruce Wayne noticed the bloodstains on his hands and was puzzled.
"It's nothing, just some blood on my things. Let's go."
Jason Todd wiped the blood from his palm and zipped up his briefcase.
"Ah."
Bruce Wayne gave Jason a deep look, and after noticing anything amiss, he turned and led the boy away from the factory area.
Half an hour after the Batmobile and the taxi Jason was in left the factory area, a deafening explosion rang out, and the entire factory was reduced to ruins in the violent impact.
The massive tremor startled nearby residents, creating a climate of fear. For those living in such a remote area, having a place to live was a precious commodity, and they didn't want any accidents to happen. Therefore, the explosion was quickly reported, but nothing came of it. Just as Jason Todd had suspected, the authorities simply wouldn't expend any resources on this abandoned and remote factory area.
At most, they cordoned off the factory area and, after confirming that there was no further threat, never bothered with the factory, which had been reduced to ruins.
For the surrounding residents, the days of fear lasted only a few days. Time quickly faded their fear. Of course, the trivial matters of life and the difficulties of survival made them less concerned about what had happened at the abandoned factory. The only thing that really bothered them was that occasionally someone would cross the cordon to dig up old steel to sell for money.
However, some people who crossed the warning line said that the air in the abandoned factory area was very bad.
Nearly a week after the death of the Middle East Joker, Luo Wei, who had returned to China, received a message from Bruce a few days later. Bruce had found the Joker's Laughing Gas hidden in the Indian capital and said that the mad Joker had planted time bombs next to the gas canisters. If the Joker did not return to the Indian capital in time, the bombs would explode. One has to admire the Joker's caution. This madman seemed to have foreseen that something bad was going to happen to him and had taken precautions in advance.
Fortunately, Bruce prevented the Laughing Gas from spreading. This nerve-stimulating gas would drive users to madness; those unable to withstand it would go insane or even suffer brain death. The Joker, for example, had inhaled the Laughing Gas.
Laughing at the poison gas, he endured the ravages of the gas, maintaining his sanity while going mad, and outwitting and outmaneuvering various righteous factions.
What's even more shocking is that during his time in the capital, Bruce Wayne learned from many people that they didn't hate the Joker, and some even endorsed the Joker's previous speech in the capital, which resonated with countless people and drove them into a frenzy.
Unfortunately, no one recorded the speech, and Bruce regretted not being able to see the Joker's manic speech. This also made him very curious about how the Joker persuaded the top brass of the United States to become the new ambassador of the United States, and even represent a country at United Nations meetings in the future.
Luo Wei wasn't curious about this; instead, he found the people of Ylang laughable. Their leaders were like real clowns, being played and fooled. If the clown hadn't died in the abandoned factory, the entire Ylang capital would probably be in a state of frenzied chaos right now.
"Hua Xin, where's Harley Quinn?"
As Luo Wei passed by Hua Xin's office in the headquarters building of the Self-Strengthening Ministry, he remembered the crazy woman who had been brought back earlier, "That's Harley Quinn."
"The organization is prepared to temporarily imprison her in the superhuman prison to await a new sentence. The main reason is that her situation is very complicated. According to our understanding, she has not committed any crimes in China, but she has caused trouble in Europe, America, and many countries and regions in Asia."
In the office, Hua Xin pulled up the file on Harley Quinn. The more she spoke, the deeper her brows furrowed, and her tone became somewhat incredulous. "She's a walking crime machine. She might be sent back to the United States to be dealt with by the people there."
"Could you tell them to leave Harley Quinn here?"
Luo Wei was speechless after hearing this.
Sending Harley Quinn back to the United States would be a waste of time. He remembered that in the original story, the United States used Harley Quinn and a group of criminals to form a powerful anti-hero team. For the United States, these criminals were a valuable human resource.
“I can’t decide, but I will include your opinion.”
As Hua Xin spoke, she typed on her keyboard to write a report. "It just so happens that I'm writing a report on Harley Quinn. She has a lot of psychological problems, and I'm thinking about how to treat her."
"Thanks for your hard work."
Lowe glanced at the report, which was about 10,000 words long. It was all a psychological analysis of Harley Quinn and a list of charges against her. Every charge was verifiable, and the number of verifiable charges was outrageous. There were probably even more charges hidden in the shadows.
Harley Quinn alone is enough to keep America busy for thousands of years. It's unimaginable how many lifetimes the Joker, as the leader, would spend in jail.
"Surprised? Fortunately, there are no such people in China."
"The craziest one I've ever seen was that Chinese guy."
Hua Xin's slender white fingers tapped on the keyboard as she recalled the criminal psychologist who had previously been involved in the Sun Wukong incident, "He has already been sentenced to death by us."
"With me here, there will be no Joker and Harley Quinn."
Luo Wei patted the mature woman on the shoulder. At that moment, the bracelet emitted a notification and then projected a line of text, which showed a message from Deli-Zord.
"Zod?"
He was surprised.
Outside the window, a beautiful figure rushed in. It was Kara-El. She took a breath and, after trying to calm herself, said, "Karl, General Zod has something urgent to discuss with us."
"I just received his message."
Luo Wei raised his wristband.
The screen displayed Drew Zod's communications, just a few lines long, roughly telling them to meet on the moon, and that the spaceship would arrive soon via a teleportation channel.
[PS: I'll leave the Harley Quinn character for now, but I haven't figured out how to write about her yet, since she's an antagonist.]
Chapter 148: The Development and Construction of Krypton
Since the separation from Drew Zod more than three months ago, when the Kryptonian fleet left the moon, it caused a huge sensation on Earth. After all, no one wants a huge mothership parked near their planet. Even if they know that the departure of the mothership does not mean that the Kryptonians have left, people just don't want to see the existence of the mothership. So, out of sight, out of mind makes them happy and deceitful.
What can you accomplish in three months on Earth? China, after its modern reforms, has progressed and grown rapidly. Given three months, China could utilize its world-leading infrastructure to build a simple survival ark. Three months is also enough time for a world gradually moving into a fast-paced era, transforming countless industries into booming sectors. It could also allow an ordinary person to grow and for an overweight person to lose weight within three months.
What if we give Kryptonians three months?
Lowe admitted that his understanding of Krypton was not as good as Kara's, let alone his deeper understanding of infrastructure. What shocked him the most last time was Krypton's World Engine, which could change the environment of a planet in a very short time and create a gravity field a hundred times stronger.
But that's just the tip of the iceberg. As one of the advanced civilizations in a single universe, Krypton possesses far more than that.
After receiving a communication from Drew Zod, Lowe travels to the moon and boards a spaceship. He learns from Fiora that Drew Zod is not seeking help, but rather inviting him to an exhibition on Krypton.
He and Kara were among the first to participate in the new Kryptonian mission. Zod would also invite people from China and other countries in the future, with the aim of deterring other malicious humans on Earth.
However, only Rowe and Kara were on the first batch of teleportation ships heading to Earth 3.
This allowed Rowe to witness once again the power of the Kryptonians and their madness in infrastructure development.
"You didn't change the appearance of the planet? I thought I would see a dim planet."
