"And what happened after he died?" Peter asked seriously.
“Winter will naturally outweigh summer,” the White Witch said casually. “But as Nikabri said, my rule is at least countless times stronger than that of the Tanmo.”
Given the current annihilation and decades of affluent life, coupled with a more lenient rule to follow, I don't need to remind you which to choose!
Peter and Susan hesitated for a moment, unable to deny that the White Witch's words made a lot of sense.
Lucy and Edmund looked grim. One was a staunch supporter of Aslan, and the other had been badly tricked by the White Witch. They both knew that cooperating with her was like asking a tiger for its skin.
“We absolutely cannot trust her,” Lucy said. “Aslan is the guardian of Narnia.”
“Of course I know I can’t trust her,” Peter said with a helpless bitter smile. “But Aslan hasn’t shown up yet. It’s better to prolong our lives than to be wiped out.”
We must resolve the current crisis before we can talk about the future.
“Peter,” Susan hesitated for a moment, then said in a deep voice, “Let’s listen to them this time. Compared to the White Witch, the Tanmo people are just a small problem.”
"Pretentious!" Aaron curled his lip and walked towards Nikabuli.
"Don't come any closer, or I'll kill him!" Nikabuli roared.
"Let Caspian go. You can't make the same mistake again."
"Shut up, Chuanbukin."
"Your king and queen can't save Narnia, but they can't stop me from saving myself!"
The argument between the two dwarves did not stop Aaron from walking; every step felt like a heavy hammer blow to Nikabri's heart.
"Aren't you afraid I'll kill him?"
"Go ahead and do it!" Aaron said nonchalantly. "For the sake of our past acquaintance, I suggest you kill him with one stroke and let Caspian die a quick death."
But be careful with your sword; don't cut off his head. He's a prince, after all; leaving him with a whole corpse is the last bit of dignity he deserves.
Everyone:......
Chapter 437 That arrow was beautifully shot; there's still a chance to salvage it.
"Aaron, you're joking, right?" Edmund asked nervously.
“No, I’m very serious.” Aaron looked at Nikabuli meaningfully. “Go ahead and give him a quick death. I guarantee you’ll die just as quickly.”
"No, don't come any closer." A hint of fear appeared in Nikabuli's eyes, and the sword pressing against Caspian's neck drew a trickle of blood.
"Stop!" Susan cried out anxiously.
“Nikaburi has gone mad,” Chumbkin said gravely. “He really will kill Caspian.”
"It doesn't matter. I've only known Caspian for a few days, and we're not that close."
"I will mourn for him for a minute if he dies, but I will also avenge him so that he can die in peace," Aaron said calmly, continuing to walk forward.
Nikabri was horrified. "Stop him, or I'll kill Caspian right now."
Susan drew her bow and aimed at Aaron. "Stop."
Aaron rolled his eyes and said speechlessly, "Can't you use your brain?"
He won't kill Caspian; releasing the White Witch requires the blood of the living, not the blood of the dead.
Nikaburi's heart skipped a beat. If he wanted to rescue the Queen, he certainly couldn't kill Caspian.
"Neither of you move, or I'll shoot whoever moves," Susan said helplessly. She didn't know if Aaron was telling the truth, but she dared not gamble with Caspian's life.
"You don't have much time. The Tammo army will soon launch an attack," the White Witch said calmly. "Wasting time is unwise."
"I'm afraid you'd love for them to come right now!" Aaron said disdainfully. "We haven't made sufficient defensive preparations yet. If the Tanmo army arrives, we'll have no choice but to cooperate with you."
The White Witch smiled without saying a word. The choice was always in their hands, but the longer it dragged on, the greater her advantage would become.
"What should we do?" Edmund asked, at a loss.
“It’s simple. You go stop Susan, and I’ll kill Nikabri,” Aaron said meaningfully. “You don’t want the White Witch to rule Narnia again, do you?”
"What?" Susan exclaimed, caught off guard. "That's so mean!"
"I..."
"Don't hesitate now. She's your sister; she won't shoot you with an arrow."
“But what about Caspian?” Peter asked.
“He won’t die. Nikabri wants to release the White Witch, so he won’t dare kill him.”
"Don't push me," Nika said, his voice trembling with fear. "If I can't survive, I don't mind taking someone down with me."
Aaron was speechless when he saw that the others were still hesitant.
"As long as you're fast enough, you'll have a chance."
Don't forget, Queen Lucy also has a little medicine bottle!
Upon hearing this, the White Witch's smile vanished instantly, and she eagerly stretched out her right hand. "Quickly, give me your blood. Blood can give me my freedom."
Nikabuli didn't care about anything else and pushed Caspian directly towards the ice wall.
"Dream on." Aaron rushed forward and delivered a flying kick that sent Caspian flying out of the circle.
Susan immediately released her right hand, and a red arrow pierced Nikabri's knee.
He let out a painful scream, and Chuanbujin immediately stepped forward and restrained him.
"What... what just happened to me?" Caspian shook his head, puzzled. Recalling his previous memories, he swallowed hard, still feeling a lingering fear.
"It's a good thing you stopped me from releasing her, otherwise I would be a sinner in all of Narnia."
"You're welcome."
"You really didn't care about my life just now, did you?"
“How could that be?” Aaron said seriously. “That was just a strategy. I would never take my friend’s life lightly.”
Caspian forced a smile. He didn't think it was a strategy; in Aaron's eyes, he, as a hostage, was probably worth nothing.
“Alright, it’s all over.” Aaron gave the White Witch a harmless smile, then drew the longsword from Caspian’s waist. “Goodbye, no, never again.”
"Wait," the White Witch said hastily. "You can let me out, and I will obey your every command."
"Sorry, I'm not some naive kid. You can't fool me."
Edmund: ......
I feel like I've been subtly insulted.
“You are different from them, wizard.”
"Are you a wizard?" Peter asked Aaron seriously.
"How could that be? Don't listen to her nonsense."
“He is indeed a wizard, Peter,” the White Witch said calmly. “And his magic is not weak; even I cannot fathom its depth.”
"Nonsense." Aaron immediately drew his sword and thrust forward. He didn't want his disguise to be exposed; a boy and a young wizard were two completely different concepts.
Ding!
The red arrow struck the sword, and the longsword carved a crack in the ice wall, but it did not harm the White Witch inside.
"Holy shit!" Aaron glared angrily at Susan and retorted without any politeness, "Are you sick in the head?"
"There's still time, let her finish," Susan said guiltily.
"You'd rather believe your former mortal enemy than believe me?"
“We just want to figure it out,” Edmund stammered. “The White Witch is indeed cunning and treacherous, but even if she wanted to deceive us, she wouldn’t have been so perfunctory!”
"It's precisely because it was absurd that I was able to deceive you!" Aaron said angrily.
“But you are really too special,” Peter said. “In our understanding, a fifteen-year-old boy could not possibly lift an iron gate weighing several thousand pounds, nor would he have such exaggerated swordsmanship.”
"Isn't it enough to have superhuman strength and extraordinary talent?"
"A wizard has infiltrated your group, and deliberately concealed his strength," the White Witch said with a meaningful smile. "Could he have some ulterior motive?"
You know me inside and out, but how much do you know about him?
When the Narniaian army and the Tammor have fought to the bitter end, what will a powerful wizard mean?
"Shut up." Aaron's face darkened, and just as he was about to launch another attack, a red arrow landed in front of him.
"Don't move yet."
"You...you're really unreasonable." Aaron felt his head buzzing, and turned to look at the White Witch with a playful expression. "Don't think you can escape this by stalling for time."
“That’s not what I meant,” the White Witch said, then confidently extended her right hand. “Peter, the strange wizard is a threat to Narnia, and you need the power to fight him.”
“I don’t believe you,” Peter said, pursing his lips.
"But he can't trust it either, right?"
“I believe him,” Lucy suddenly interjected. “Aaron can be trusted; Aslan told me so.”
Aaron's lips twitched slightly. "I would have been very happy if it weren't for that last half of your sentence."
"But for the sake of your trust, I'll spare your life until I leave this world. As for the others... good luck to them!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Aaron looked at Susan, a purple glint flashing in his eyes.
She immediately put down her bow and arrow and stood there in a daze.
"What did you do to her?" Peter asked warily, pointing his sword at Aaron.
"Don't worry, I didn't hurt her. It was just a little bit of hypnosis."
"Why?" Edmund asked, frowning slightly.
"Do you like having arrows pointed at you all the time?" Aaron countered, then changed the subject, "Actually, I'm a very magnanimous person, but magnanimity doesn't mean I don't have a temper."
Edmund was speechless for a moment; if he were standing under someone else's arrows, he probably wouldn't have been able to endure it either.
"Are you really a wizard?" Lucy asked with interest.
"Fourth-year wizards at the magic school, they'll be moving up to fifth year after the holidays," Aaron said calmly. "I'm a wizard, are you satisfied now?"
"There's a magic school?" Lucy's mouth dropped open. "How come we've never heard of it before?"
