"According to the Ministry of Magic, ordinary people are generally unaware of the existence of wizards."
“Then why didn’t you tell us?” Peter slowly lowered his sword. “If you had explained things clearly earlier, there wouldn’t have been so many misunderstandings.”
"This is a family tradition, and it's also to avoid any unnecessary misunderstandings."
"In the Middle Ages, ordinary people would burn wizards alive if they caught them. The cities and lives of the Tanmors were not much different from that period. How could I dare to say such things casually?" Aaron said, both angry and annoyed. "I came to Narnia for no reason. All I wanted was to go home, but I didn't expect to get involved in a war without even realizing it."
"Speaking of which, I did save your lives last night, didn't I? Is this how you treat your savior?"
The group exchanged glances, then silently lowered their heads, not daring to meet his gaze.
As the situation became awkward, no one noticed that the White Witch subtly winked at Nikabuli.
The other party immediately understood, but made no extra movements, fearing that Chuanbujin would discover it, and just kept searching for something.
"If I lay a hand on her now, does anyone have a problem with that?"
The group, including Susan who had come to her senses, all shook their heads and stopped objecting.
“Perhaps we can cooperate,” the White Witch said with a smile. “Ordinary people will gradually fall under my control, but wizards are different.”
I can acknowledge you as my master and serve you.
"Tsk tsk tsk! To be honest, I'm a little tempted."
"But you are even more treacherous than the dark wizards I've encountered; I can't trust you." Aaron said, holding his sword horizontally in front of him, aiming it at the White Witch's abdomen.
“Wait, you’d better think this over carefully.” The White Witch seemed a little nervous. “I possess a portion of the Narnia High Codex, which can help you rule Narnia.”
"Heh! If anyone in our family were to rule another world, they'd be expelled from the family tree," Aaron sneered. "Goodbye."
Just as he was about to kill the White Witch, Nikabuli suddenly roared, broke free from Chuanbujin's grasp, picked up the longsword on the ground, and stabbed at Aaron.
Whoosh!
A red arrow suddenly shot towards Nikabuli.
"No!" Aaron cried out in alarm, but it was too late; the arrow had already pierced Nikabri's chest.
"Uh..." Susan was confused. "You're welcome."
"Thank you, thank you so much."
"I saved you!"
“I don’t need your help, and…” Aaron looked at the ice wall sealing the White Witch, his face turning particularly grim, “How about we continue discussing your conditions from earlier?”
"You have no right to negotiate with me now, child." A cold smile crept across the White Witch's lips, a stark contrast to her previous groveling demeanor.

Several cracks appeared on the ice wall, and white, chilling air spread rapidly throughout the hall.
"Because Adam did not directly give blood, the seal will take longer to break, but it will be enough."
"When?" Peter asked in astonishment.
“Just now,” Aaron said irritably, “Nikabury’s sword had Caspian’s blood on it.”
I could have stopped him, but Queen Susan's arrow was so beautiful that he threw his sword against the ice wall before he died.
"I...I didn't mean to," Susan said, feeling wronged.
"The dwarves served me hundreds of years ago, and I never expected them to remain so loyal hundreds of years later."
"Don't slander all dwarves because of one or two scoundrels," Chumbukin said coldly.
"What do we do now?" Lucy asked anxiously.
“Kill her before the seal is completely broken,” Edmund said. He and Peter exchanged a glance and simultaneously drew their longswords to stab the White Witch.
But before they could run more than a few steps, the white, icy air transformed into ice spikes that sent them flying.
"Idiot, if it were that easy, I would have done it already." Aaron curled his lip in disdain.
"Stop making sarcastic remarks and hurry up and think of a solution!" Lucy said anxiously.
“There is still a way.” Aaron took a deep breath and turned to Caspian. “Your Highness, you wouldn’t mind making a small sacrifice for Narnia, would you?”
Upon hearing this, Caspian shuddered. "What do you want to do?"
"The condition for breaking the seal is Adam's blood, that is, the blood of a human male."
But the blood of the dead has no effect; in other words, once you die, the unsealing process will be forcibly halted.
"Stop!" The White Witch's expression changed drastically, and she roared angrily, "Releasing me won't cost you anything, at least it's much better than dying under the iron heel of the Tanmo people."
“If my death could solve this huge problem, I’m willing to die,” Caspian said earnestly, then changed the subject, “But is there really no other way?”
"This is the simplest way."
"And what about the complicated ones?" Lucy asked. "What are the complicated methods?"
"Kill her before she breaks the seal."
"But we can't even get close to her."
“You’re a wizard,” Chumpkins said, looking at Aaron. “Perhaps…”
“That would be too much trouble, otherwise I wouldn’t have suggested killing Caspian.”
"So that means there's a possibility of success?" Peter asked in surprise.
"That's true, but I'm not absolutely certain," Aaron said hesitantly.
“At this point, we shouldn’t worry about anything else,” Susan said anxiously. “We have to try even if there’s only a one percent chance. We can’t risk Caspian’s life.”
“But I need time. If I fail, it will be too late to kill Caspian.”
“Let me do it!” Caspian took a deep breath. “This concerns the future of Narnia. We can’t delay, and we can’t take any risks.”
"That's the right mindset," Aaron said with a relieved expression. "Although I'm only 90% sure..."
“Wait a minute,” Peter interrupted him immediately. “How much are you saying? Ninety percent certain?”
Aaron nodded. "But we can't afford to lose the remaining ten percent, and I think Caspian must think so too."
Everyone looked at each other in bewilderment. Caspian's face was filled with anguish as he weakly raised his still-bleeding left hand. "Um... I think I can still be saved."
Chapter 438 Reinforcing the Seal, Testing New Weapons
Peter and the others quickly left, leaving only Aaron and the White Witch, whose seal was waiting to be broken, in the not-so-empty hall.
"I made a bad choice in my friends!" Aaron sighed speechlessly. "This isn't the first time I've encountered this kind of person; in fact, I've encountered them many times."
He's a master at causing trouble, being unreliable, and dragging others down, but I always end up cleaning up his messes.
A 90% chance of success seems high, but if I fail, I'll have to face a powerful mage who has broken the seal. They really didn't consider my needs at all.
The White Witch smiled ingratiatingly and said gently, "We are both wizards, there's no need for us to fight to the death."
"This is still necessary; it's either you or me."
"What...what exactly are you after?"
We possess immense power, while they are but ants, deserving only to live under our rule.
Aaron picked at his ear impatiently. "I'm not interested in ruling, but I am quite interested in saving Narnia."
Your power is too great. I'm sorry, I cannot release you.
A flash of hatred crossed the White Witch's eyes. "It seems there's no room for negotiation. But before I disappear, can you answer one question for me?"
"Excuse me."
"They can't see your power, but I can."
With your magic, you could easily annihilate the Tanmo army, why...?
"First of all, peace is a complex thing, and peace that is easily obtained is not stable."
Secondly, Aslan had a clever little girl warn me not to go too far.
In the end, my hands were covered in blood.
"Although those who died by my hand deserved to die, if I don't restrain myself and start killing indiscriminately, I'll become even more terrifying than you sooner or later." Aaron said very seriously, then glanced at the ice wall that was more than half cracked, and slowly raised his right hand.
The next moment, five magic circles—red, blue, yellow, green, and purple—surrounded the ice wall, connecting in mid-air to form a pentagram, continuously compressing the chilling white air.
The ice wall stopped cracking immediately, but Aaron frowned slightly; the situation seemed a little different from what he had expected.
A force is hindering his seal, and the broken parts of the ice wall cannot be repaired.
"Isn't it surprising? This is the Supreme Codex," the White Witch said smugly. "Your sealing magic is quite advanced, isolating me from the influence of Adam's blood, but what has already happened cannot be changed."
I have plenty of time; hundreds, even thousands of years are but a blink of an eye for me. Your seal will gradually be worn away by time, and then I will regain my freedom.
"It is a bit troublesome!" Aaron clicked his tongue. "But it doesn't matter. I am confident that I can become a god within a hundred years. When that time comes, I will just take some time to destroy you."
If I'm not mistaken, the Grimoire of Saviour only applies to the rules of Narnia; to the gods, it's just a piece of waste paper that can be torn up at will.
"What a joke!" the White Witch roared angrily, her white hair flying wildly within the ice wall.
“This is no joke.” Aaron shook his head, then changed the subject, “But let’s not. A hundred years is too long. Unexpected things might happen in the middle, and I’ve never liked leaving any hidden dangers.”
As soon as he finished speaking, Aaron took out a small bottle of purple solution. "I haven't used this stuff since I got it. Using it on a great mage today is worth its value."
"What is this?" The White Witch stared in astonishment, her face turning deathly pale. "No, move it away from here, don't let it come any closer."
"Don't worry, you won't feel any pain." Aaron shrugged, then opened the bottle and poured all of the Moon Drops onto the White Witch's staff.
The Supreme Magic Codex's protection vanished without a trace, and the five-fold magic array shone brightly, completely engulfing the white chill, while the shattered ice wall was restored to its original state.
Seeing the immediate effect of the Moon Drops, Aaron inexplicably felt his heart clench; it seemed like he had lost out this time.
However, his mood was somewhat comforted after his gaze fell on the silver-white staff.
Its material is special and it also possesses the power of ice and snow. Taking it back and melting it can also improve the progress of forging the artifact.
"What are you thinking?"
“I was thinking…it has nothing to do with you,” Aaron said, then pulled out the staff and openly put it into his dressing space.
The White Witch's eyes widened. Even if she wanted to take her magic weapon, she should at least wait until after she was dead!
What does "rob in front of you" mean?
