Oh, and there are also performances of the 100-meter high jump, human flames, and electronic music using electrical discharge abilities.
Surprisingly, the video garnered a high number of views, and he even made headlines in major Philadelphia media outlets as an internet celebrity.
Shen You: "."
Yes, that's for sure, it's definitely Thunder Silly himself.
However, he still remembered that a certain wizard had sworn that even if he died suddenly and his magic rotted away in the coffin, he would never give it to some immature brat.
Shen You thought for a moment, then went to the kitchen and found the old wizard.
The old wizard continued his daily cooking routine, humming a little tune as he poured all sorts of incomprehensible things into the poor pot.
Shen You leaned forward: "Has someone found a successor?"
The old wizard raised an eyebrow and glanced at him with surprise.
The old man crossed his arms and shook his head repeatedly, saying, "No, absolutely not."
He probably denies it because he absolutely refuses to pass on his divine power to little kids.
"Oh, that's how it is."
Shen You nodded and casually flipped the screen to play the video for him.
"Then I guess this definitely has nothing to do with your divine power."
The old man squinted and stared at the thunderous sand sculpture in the picture, which was breaking rocks on its chest, making thunder, and playing electronic music, for a long time.
His eyes widened instantly, and his beard flew up in the wind.
"He...he...he used the supreme power of the guardians of the mortal world and the protectors of magic to make short videos?"
"The traffic is pretty good," Shen You said seriously. "I think this kid has a bright future. Senior's vision is indeed extraordinary."
"I'm so angry! I'm so angry!"
The old man threw the pot down.
"No, I need to go talk to him."
As he spoke, he collapsed onto the kitchen floor, lying upright.
Shen You: "?"
After giving him a strange look for two seconds, Shen You couldn't help but ask, "What are you doing?"
"Send him a dream," the old man said sullenly.
Shen You: "."
Without disturbing the old wizard's dream-sending mission any further, Shen You returned to the laboratory.
The news just happened to be reporting on the Justice League. It was about a military bioweapons expert named Samuel Streid who was infected with some kind of spore and, after going out of control, transformed into a monster that multiplied at an incredibly high rate. The military and the Sky Eye were routed and unable to clean up the mess, but fortunately, the Justice League arrived in time to control the situation and resolve the monster crisis.
Then came a brilliant inventor named Winston, who created a giant robot to challenge the Justice League. This guy, codenamed Toy Man, was one of Superman's major villains. However, the Justice League dismantled his toy within a minute of taking action and imprisoned him.
It's clear that the Justice League is quite busy with its activities, and the world is focused on them. So far, all their actions have been flawless; any opponent that seems invincible to outsiders appears to be brought under control the moment they intervene.
Furthermore, they only do the work and rarely communicate formally with people. This has made the alliance's image increasingly mysterious and lofty in people's minds.
Shen You found this to be quite interesting.
Just as few people in the Ultraman studio would actively imagine that Ultraman exists in human form outside of the three minutes he appears, people seem unwilling to imagine that the Justice League has their own lives in addition to saving the world.
"The radar calibration setup on the Brainiac mothership is complete, and energy responses resembling the spectrum of fear have been marked in multiple locations across the Milky Way."
"Pal said."
"Shall we take action, sir?"
"Of course, we can't let a giant golden reptile slowly plot to wipe us out, right?"
Shen You got up from his seat.
"Let's go see what's going on."
Chapter 292 Giants from the Stars
The energy vortex spun and opened in the boundless starry sky, with afterimages of light and lightning shooting out from it.
As the teleportation vortex swirled behind him, Shen You had already flown past the outer edge of a planet.
Although interstellar jumping wasn't anything particularly novel for Shen You, this time he wasn't using his own abilities, but rather the Mother Box he had retrieved from Apokolips.
After some research, he finally seemed to have figured out how to activate the Master Box's basic function, the "Pop Channel." This upcoming long trip would be a good opportunity to test the use of the Pop Channel, since it was the most traditional way of interstellar travel in DC.
The initial test appeared to work well.
"The fear spectrum energy response originates from the current galaxy; planetary coordinates have been locked." Parr compared the information with the database. "Planet designation: Axol. Indigenous intelligent life has been detected, indicating signs of civilization activity. Civilization level estimated: Level three to four."
This civilization's level is roughly equivalent to Earth's, not much stronger if we don't count the extraordinary gods on Earth whose individual combat power has broken through the heavens.
Shen You accelerated, and the trajectory of light traced a straight line under the starry sky. Within minutes, he had approached the atmosphere of Axol and found its location by following the coordinates.
He located the source of the unusual energy at a glance.
It's not that his senses are particularly sharp, but well, when a strange creature tens of meters tall is playing a game of Musou in a man-made city, it's hard to ignore its presence.
It was a colossal creature, like a mountain peak, emerging from the abyss. Its irregularly shaped head was covered in enormous tentacles, like curved dragon horns, extending from the top of its head to the front of its body. Its massive body seemed to be made of steel; human firepower felt like a hot bath to it. Strong hind legs supported its body, and sharp claws were deeply embedded in the earth.
This monster stormed in from outside the city and has now swept through half of it. It is unstoppable, and the artillery and troops of the native Aksol are completely unable to stop it. The interception force at the base has also been almost completely wiped out, with only a teetering aircraft carrier remaining.
"Captain, all the other squadrons have been wiped out; only we are left."
"The Aksol man on the bridge said sadly."
The captain's face was as hard as steel, without the slightest change.
“We will continue the fight,” he said coldly.
"But Captain, we've lost our entire combat formation. The weapon systems are offline, the propulsion system can't be restored, we can't fly much longer, and we're out of weapons."
"And weapons, aren't there?" the captain interrupted.
He turned around, his profile sharp and resolute, facing the crew.
"This warship is a weapon."
Everyone was startled.
"You mean..."
"The warship's engine is designed based on the most advanced regeneration system on the planet. A violent impact can trigger an explosion with an astonishing yield, which is even more powerful than the ship's main gun."
The silence lasted only about a second.
"Yes, Captain."
They are warriors, guardians of this planet. To fight to the last man, to the last breath, is the duty of each of them, just as their predecessors and ancestors did.
It is precisely because of this that this planet and this civilization have been able to continue to this day and will continue to thrive.
Angle correction and dynamic compensation
"AI correction forced overwrite, switch to manual operation, dive restriction removed."
"."
In a mere instant, the warship, billowing black smoke, transformed into a sharp blade piercing the sky. The turbines, nearing their limit, roared like a beast as the warship thundered and dove forward, converting all its remaining energy into propulsion, launching its final charge under the roar of its engines.
The center of gravity shifted, blood rushed to the head, and hearing was almost drowned out by the roar.
"It's an honor to stand shoulder to shoulder with you," the captain said softly, though no one could hear him anymore.
When the enormous monster looked up, the warship was already upon its face.
Then came a magnificent fireworks display that pierced the sky.
"They really love to give me difficult questions."
Shen You happened to be passing by in that millisecond. As he landed, the steel warship had already crashed into the monster. The armor plates deformed little by little from the outer shell to the cockpit, and the shockwave, in the slowed spacetime he saw, crushed the engine core inch by inch, triggering a catastrophic explosion.
The explosion is underway and will engulf the entire warship in an instant at normal speed.
Shen You thought for a moment, then his body, which had just flown over from interstellar space, quickly shrunk to life-size, and dragged lightning as he charged into the warship.
He crashed through the outer armor with his body, starting from the area closest to the engine blast point. He picked up two crew members, one in each hand, and with a sway of his body, flew them out of the ship, casually tossing them into the air. Then, with a wave of his hand, he conjured an energy shield that enveloped the two like a balloon.
He moved like lightning through various areas of the massive ship, bringing out a few people with him on each trip, casually tossing them into an energy bubble, and then rushing back into the warship.
As he swept his way to the bridge, the flames and shockwaves of the explosion had only just begun to erode the bridge walls.
Shen You strode straight through the intense heat of the flames and into the bridge. He circled the bridge for most of the journey, packing each crew member into an energy bubble.
With his left hand dragging the giant transparent bubble, he used his right hand to uproot the captain, who was frozen in place with a look of resignation, along with the chair beneath him, and carried it in his hand. With a quick step, he almost skimmed past the scorching flames that were engulfing the bridge, broke out of the warship, and landed on the ground.
The entire crew of the warship only felt a blur before their eyes. One second they were on the ship, ready to die, and the next second they were inexplicably transported to the ground.
A few people even seemed to hallucinate, as if they felt a scorching heat wave, but it was only fleeting and was blown away by a gust of cold wind.
The captain sat upright in his broken chair, which had been uprooted, and looked around at the city streets, his face filled with utter bewilderment.
Then a deafening explosion engulfed everything.
That was the sound of their warship exploding. The warship had indeed crashed into the monster, and it had indeed triggered a terrifying explosion, just as they had predicted. Everyone instinctively raised their arms to protect their faces, only to realize then that even the flames and shockwaves from the explosion had been blocked by something invisible.
A transparent energy barrier rippled before them as the flames swept across them, yet it kept out the destructive heat.
The captain opened his mouth, unable to comprehend what had just happened.
Clearly, at the critical moment when he was piloting his warship into that monster, something manifested itself—he felt that this description might be more apt.
Because moving everyone off that ship in such a brief moment was something that could not be explained by any common sense he knew.
It's simply a miracle.
"captain!"
At that moment, he heard someone shout.
"Look, that thing is still there!"
All eyes turned to the enormous creature.
Then they all witnessed that despairing scene.
