"Calm down, Severus, Miss Granger is alright! I've already sent someone to inform Jerry, he'll be here soon!" Dumbledore sighed and comforted her upon seeing the situation.
As they were talking, Hermione opened her eyes and woke up, but she didn't say anything. Instead, she gripped the blanket tightly and shivered.
Seeing this, Dumbledore told the other professors around him to leave the infirmary first, leaving only Professor McGonagall and Snape.
"Don't be afraid, child! It's alright, it's all over now!" Dumbledore said softly to Hermione after the others had left.
“Professor, I…I saw…eyes, yellow eyes! Yes, yes…”
"Enough, Albus... Let Granger rest for the night!" Snape frowned as he looked at Hermione and interrupted their conversation.
“Alright, child, you should rest now! Don’t worry, the terrible things are over!” Dumbledore agreed with Snape and then said to Hermione.
“Professor, it’s the necklace, the necklace Jerry gave me saved me!” Hermione said, looking at Penelope in the next bed.
The three people who were about to leave stopped in their tracks after hearing Hermione's words, then looked at each other and then at Hermione.
"Jerry gave me a necklace during summer vacation, saying it could protect me. It must have been this necklace that saved me today!"

"May I see it?"
Hermione thought for a moment, then nodded, took the necklace off her neck, and handed it to Dumbledore.
"What is this??" Professor McGonagall and Snape stared at the pattern on the necklace pendant, exchanging a stunned glance, speechless for a moment!
Dumbledore took the necklace and held it tightly for a long time before he reacted.
“Child, may I call you Hermione?” Dumbledore asked Hermione gently and kindly.
"Of course, Professor!"
"Hermione, here's your necklace back. It still works, and Jerry can fix it! Remember, don't take it off again!" Dumbledore gently held Hermione's hand and returned the necklace to her.
"I've already notified Jerry, he'll be here soon. Let him come and keep you company!" After saying that, Dumbledore winked at Hermione, then pulled Snape and McGonagall away from the infirmary and back to his headmaster's office.
"Albus, how many things are you still hiding from me? Who exactly is Jerry Green? That symbol is the mark of the Deathly Hallows, isn't it?"
Back in the headmaster's office, Snape asked loudly.
"Severus, calm down!"
Snape, seeing Professor McGonagall hesitate, asked in shock, "Professor McGonagall, did you already know?"
Professor McGonagall sighed, then said to Dumbledore, "Albus, aren't you being too hasty? Telling Jerry so early might affect his development."
Snape: ...
What a load of rubbish! Now he finally knows who Jerry Green looks like!
Chapter 135 Hermione: The Sneak Attack
Hermione, how are you?
This morning, Gryffindor and Hufflepuff had their Herbalism class together, while Jerry and Hermione did not.
Upon hearing that Hermione had been attacked, he immediately dropped what he was doing, a strong sense of urgency washing over him. He rushed out of the classroom and ran towards the infirmary without a second thought. The sound of his footsteps and rapid breathing, along with the rhythm of his heartbeat, echoed down the corridor.
Although Jerry knew that Hermione was protected by the Phoenix Tear necklace he had given her, he was still somewhat flustered and worried.
Inside the school infirmary, Jerry looked at the pale, lifeless little witch before him, his voice trembling. He rushed to Hermione's bedside and grasped her cold hand. His palms were sweaty, even his fingernails showing the paleness of tension.
Hermione shook her head slightly, gently hugged Jerry, and rested her head against his chest. She tried to dispel his worries with a smile and said softly, "I'm fine, Jerry, you don't need to worry. Thanks to the necklace you gave me, it saved my life."
“However, the necklace seems to have some cracks.” Hermione said softly, carefully removing the necklace, which was covered in tiny cracks, from her neck and handing it to Jerry.
“As long as you’re safe and sound, leave the necklace to me. I’ll try to fix it.” Jerry hugged Hermione tightly, gently wiping away the tears from the corners of her eyes, and comforted her.
"What happened today? Weren't you in Herbology class with Harry and the others?" Jerry asked impatiently as soon as Hermione calmed down a bit.
Hearing Jerry's question, Hermione's eyes showed deep fear. "It's the Basilisk, it must be!" Her voice trembled, clearly terrified.
"Don't be nervous, Hermione, take your time and talk it out." Jerry gently stroked her hair, trying to soothe her anxiety.
“Jerry, do you remember when Harry said he could speak Parseltongue at the Dueling Club?” Hermione took a deep breath, suppressing her unease and anxiety, and handed Jerry a piece of paper with information about the Basilisk from her pocket. Then she slowly said, “And after each attack, swarms of spiders are always found at the scene. They’re not the culprits; they’re just running for their lives! The Basilisk is the natural enemy of spiders!”
"You found this in the library?" Jerry stared speechlessly at the page torn directly from a library book. He quickly put the paper away, intending to destroy it later, because he was afraid that if Mrs. Pince saw it, Hermione wouldn't be able to go to the library for the next few years.
"I've been searching in the library for days, and I just found it today. I was just about to come find you when we were attacked by the Basilisk!" Hermione nodded, and when she mentioned the Basilisk, she noticeably tightened her grip on Jerry's hand.
“Jerry, did you… already know all this?” Hermione asked cautiously, her brow furrowed.
She noticed that, apart from a brief moment of panic when he first asked if she was injured, Jerry remained unusually calm for most of the time, even when he heard the news of the basilisk at Hogwarts. This made Hermione begin to suspect that Jerry and Professor Dumbledore might have already suspected something.
"It was just a guess! But this time, thanks to Hermione's help, I really appreciate it." Jerry waved the pages of the book in his hand, a gentle smile playing on his lips.
"Really!" Hermione exclaimed excitedly upon hearing Jerry's words, wrapping her arms tightly around his waist as if afraid of losing him and unwilling to let go. Then she whispered, "It's so great that I could help you, Jerry!"
Just as the two were talking, noisy footsteps came from the corridor outside the infirmary. Hermione and Jerry quickly separated and straightened each other's slightly disheveled clothes.
Soon after, Harry, his two friends, and Hermione's roommates rushed into the infirmary. Seeing Hermione unharmed and chatting happily with Jerry, they all breathed a sigh of relief. Then, they bombarded Hermione with questions, trying to learn more about the attack, especially the perpetrator.
Hermione observed the terror on everyone's faces, and after a moment's thought, she gently shook her head. Telling them about the basilisk's existence would only exacerbate their panic and wouldn't help resolve the situation.
"I fainted at the time and didn't see what attacked me, but luckily the necklace Jerry gave me protected me, so you don't need to worry, I'm not hurt!"
"We're so glad you're alright! We were terrified when Professor McGonagall told us that you and Penelope were both attacked and hospitalized!"
“Percy, in particular, was terrified. Penelope was a Ravenclaw prefect, and he probably used to think that thing wouldn’t dare attack a prefect.”
Professor McGonagall also said that all students must be back in their college's common room by 6 p.m. and no student may leave their dormitory after that time. A teacher will accompany students to each class, and students may not use the restrooms without a teacher present. In addition, all Quidditch practice and matches have been postponed, and all evening activities have been canceled.
"That's right, that's right! You two didn't see Professor McGonagall's face today, it was frighteningly serious..."
As they chatted, the topic veered off course and turned to Professor McGonagall. However, not long after, Mrs. Pomfrey heard the commotion in the ward, came in, and chased them all out.
“Mr. Green, you have to leave too! Professor Dumbledore wants to see you; you need to go to the Headmaster’s office,” Madam Pomfrey said to Jerry after shooing Harry and the others out of the infirmary.
"Madam, I understand, I'll go right away!"
Upon hearing this, Mrs. Pomfrey nodded and then turned and left the ward.
"I have to leave for a bit. Professor Dumbledore wants to see me; it must be about today's attack. I promise you, after I leave the Headmaster's office, I won't go anywhere else; I'll come back and stay with you!" Jerry said gently to Hermione, who was clutching his clothes tightly, his tone full of tenderness and determination.
"Okay," Hermione muttered softly, then sat up abruptly, hugged Jerry tightly, and gently kissed his cheek. Her face instantly flushed red, like a startled fawn, before she quickly shrank back under the covers, shyly concealing her emotions.
Jerry's eyes widened, and he stood frozen in place, completely taken aback. The sudden kiss caught him completely off guard.
"You were too fast! You ambushed me when I wasn't looking, huh?! I wasn't prepared at all," Jerry thought to himself. "What a loss! I didn't even feel a thing! And it's over!"
Chapter 136 Snape: Jerry Green, you really deserve to die!
"Jerry, you're much calmer than I expected!"
When Dumbledore saw that Jerry had not lost his composure or become enraged by Hermione's attack, but instead calmly and unhurriedly entered the headmaster's office, he couldn't help but nod in approval.
"Hehe, so what do you think I should do? Shout like a silly groundhog?"
Jerry looked at Dumbledore speechlessly. He was calm because he was confident! The necklace around Hermione's neck had been cleansed by him with the tears of a phoenix during the summer vacation, so the basilisk couldn't hurt her at all.
"Here you go, Fox's tears. You'll need them when you repair the necklace!"
"That's it?" Jerry thought to himself, looking at the small bottle on the table. "Dumbledore, weren't you quite generous when you gave Hermione this last time? How come you only got this little bit for me!"
"Don't even think about it!" Dumbledore saw through Jerry's thoughts, shook his head, and said with a smile, "It's all here!"
Upon hearing this, Jerry took out the necklace from his pocket, picked up the Phoenix Tear from the table, and dripped it onto the pendant. With a slight "sizzling" sound, the tiny cracks on the necklace disappeared at a speed visible to the naked eye, and soon the necklace returned to its brand-new state.
“How exquisite! This is your mother’s work. She was quite talented in alchemy, and even Nicolas Flamel once praised her!”
"So what? Professor, if you're not going to tell me about them, then why bring it up in the first place!"
After listening to Jerry's words, Dumbledore's gaze was fixed on the necklace, and he fell into deep thought.
After a long silence, seeing that Dumbledore showed no sign of backing down, Jerry sighed in frustration and broke the silence by asking about the attack earlier that day.
“I don’t want to wait any longer,” Jerry said, glancing at the fully-fledged phoenix, Fox. “The basilisk is a threat sooner or later; two people were attacked by it today. I’m really afraid it will break out of the secret chamber one day and wreak havoc on the school!”
"No! Basilisk—no, Voldemort wouldn't do that. Killing won't do him any good now. Besides, Hogwarts has become an obsession for him; Voldemort won't allow the school to close!"
Jerry sat on the office sofa, fiddling with the newly repaired necklace while pondering Dumbledore's words. "You're not still thinking about training Harry, are you? I've got the Basilisk in my grasp, Merlin can't stop him, I'm telling you!"
Dumbledore: "..."
After Jerry reasoned with him and explained his righteous cause—that it was for the safety of all the students and for the future of the school, and absolutely not for his own selfish desires or lust for the basilisk—he finally understood.
Finally, Dumbledore frowned, considered for a while, and, seeing that Jerry had already made up his mind, reluctantly agreed to lend him his phoenix, Fawkes.
As for Harry, he can go somewhere cool and stay there!
Of course, Jerry and Harry are friends, so it's not a bad idea to train him. At worst, when we go to the Chamber of Secrets, we can just throw him in to scout things out beforehand!
……
"Professor Snape, hello. Jerry is not in the infirmary. He went to the headmaster's office. Professor Dumbledore wants to see him."
Inside the infirmary, Hermione sat on the bed, flipping through the encyclopedia Jerry had given her for Christmas. Hearing footsteps, she looked up and saw Snape striding in.
"I'm not here to see him, I'm here to see you!" Snape said to Hermione, his voice filled with mixed emotions. His face was expressionless, but his heart was brimming with complex feelings.
Snape was conflicted at this moment. He wanted to advise Granger to stay away from that dangerous bad boy Jerry Green, but he couldn't bring himself to say the words.
"Professor, are you alright?" Hermione closed the book in her hand and looked at Snape, who was standing there blankly, with a complicated expression, seemingly lost in thought, and asked.
"I'm fine," Snape quickly snapped out of his reverie, regaining his usual cold demeanor. Then, he pulled out a pale blue potion and handed it to Hermione. "This is a calming potion; it will help you escape the terrifying memories and stop being plagued by nightmares."
"Huh?" Hermione looked at the potion in her hand and stared at Snape in disbelief. She never expected that Snape would come to give her a potion.
Hermione gripped the vial tightly, instinctively uncorked it, and took a small sip. Then, she let out a gasp.
"So sweet!" The potion tasted much better than Hermione had imagined. The moment she swallowed that small sip, all the unease, anxiety, and palpitations from the attack vanished.
"Hermione, I'm back! Um, Professor Snape, what are you doing in the infirmary?" Jerry went straight to the infirmary after leaving the headmaster's office.
"Ha!" Snape stared at Jerry with a sinister look in his eyes as he ran in from outside, then let out a cold laugh.
“Jerry, Professor Snape is here to bring me a potion. Look, it’s this calming potion!” Hermione held up the small bottle and shook it.
"A calming potion?" Jerry walked over to Hermione after hearing her words, looked at the potion in her hand, and asked with a troubled expression, "You drank it?"
