Jerry still can't forget last year when he had nightmares and insomnia because of the black fog. Snape gave him a bottle of sleeping potion, and the taste... even Harry's godfather shook his head after drinking it!

"I drank a little, it's sweet, and tastes pretty good!"

Jerry scratched his head, took the potion from Hermione, uncorked it, smelled it, and finding no strange odor, took a small sip under Snape's murderous glare.

"Hmm, it tastes really good, and the effect is very remarkable! Professor Snape, you truly deserve to be called a Potions Master!" After tasting it, Jerry felt a surge of comfort and then flattered Snape with a friendly smile. However, he was secretly wondering if he could get the recipe from him. Of course, it would be even better if he could also get a set of the ingredients!

Unfortunately, Snape seemed to completely ignore Jerry's words, and turned away from the infirmary with a sinister aura.

"What a pity, I was hoping to get a potion recipe for free!" Jerry said regretfully as he watched Snape's figure disappear through the door.

Hermione: "..."

Snape, who had just left the ward, suddenly remembered that he had given Hermione a bottle of Felix Felicis, and the two potions could not be taken together. He immediately turned back to the ward, intending to remind them. However, as soon as he opened the door, before even entering the ward, he heard what Jerry said.

Snape: ! ?

Damn Jerry Green, that little bastard! I should have told Granger to stay away from this delinquent student and dangerous element!

Chapter 137 The Discovery of Egypt

"Hermione, let me tell you, Professor Snape, that old bat..."

Inside the ward, before Jerry could finish his gossiping, Hermione saw Snape standing at the door with a grim expression. Startled, she quickly covered Jerry's mouth and whispered in his ear, "Don't talk nonsense, don't talk nonsense!"

Seeing this, Jerry immediately realized what was happening, turned around to look at the figure standing in the doorway, and gave an awkward smile. "Professor Snape, you haven't gone back yet! Is there anything else you need?"

"Mr. Green, it seems you have a lot of complaints about your dean!"

"Professor, if I said that what I just said was all told to me by Harry Potter, would you... believe me?"

"Heh!" Snape raised his head slightly, his nostrils pointing at Jerry, gave him a disdainful look, and then gestured for him to get out of the way; he didn't have time to settle scores with him now.

"Never use calming potions and Felix Felicis together! The human brain cannot tolerate both at the same time!" Snape reminded Hermione, then looked at Jerry beside him, "Of course, Mr. Grimm, you don't need to worry at all, you can use them together without any problem!"

Jerry: ...

Do you think I can't understand? The insults are really awful!

Jerry hates two kinds of people the most: one is a double standard like Snape, and the other is someone who doesn't allow him to be double standard!

……

That evening, Hermione held the third-grade course selection notice from the school, carefully studying the new course list and making marks on it. "This will affect our entire future," she told Jerry.

"It's a pity that neither of my parents are wizards, so they can't offer me any advice." Hermione sighed, collapsing helplessly onto the hospital bed, her gaze drifting to Jerry beside her, her heart filled with turmoil.

"Believe me, even people from wizarding families are in a similar situation to you right now. This afternoon, I saw in the hall that people from Neville's family were writing to him one after another, offering him many different suggestions on the issue of course selection. But judging from Neville's appearance, he seems even more conflicted than you, asking everyone he meets which is more difficult to learn: arithmetic divination or ancient runes."

"Even Harry and his friends would close their eyes and randomly select courses on the list with their wands, choosing whichever course they ended up with."

"That's too casual!" Hermione said, shaking her head.

"I heard it was the twins George and Weasley who taught them to make that choice!"

Hermione: "..." That explains everything, it makes sense!

"Jerry, what about you? Did Professor Dumbledore offer you any advice on course selection?"

"I'll select all!" Jerry said, taking out his course selection form, on which he signed his name for all the subjects.

“Jerry…” Hermione glanced at Jerry’s form and suddenly blushed.

What's going on? Jerry wondered to himself, looking at Hermione's expression.

Then he glanced at the form in his hand again. "No problem, I wrote my name! I didn't write anything else, so why are you blushing?"

"I do want to take all the courses, but it will be tiring, Jerry, you don't need to come with me!"

Seeing Hermione already having completed her "self-conquest" in her mind, Jerry scratched his head.

All I wanted was a time machine. After all, the Ministry of Magic guards these things quite closely, and I couldn't very well just steal it!

Of course, Jerry couldn't tell the truth either, because Hermione's actions automatically triggered one of his max-level passive skills: a kind lie!

"Don't worry, I actually guessed what you were thinking, Hermione, so you see, I already enrolled you in the classes in advance! I'll go with you!"

Hearing Jerry's gentle voice, Hermione lowered her head, avoiding his gaze. At that moment, she felt her heart racing and her head spinning; she had no idea what to say next.

"Ahem!" Just as Hermione was completely bewildered by Jerry's bluff, a coughing sound came from outside. Dumbledore had appeared at the door of the ward at some point, looking at the two of them with a teasing smile on his face.

“Sorry to bother you, Hermione, but I need to borrow Jerry from you for a while. Don’t worry, it won’t take long. I need to talk to him about something!” Dumbledore said with a smile.

Hermione nodded slightly upon hearing this, then lowered her head even further.

"Jerry, I have to leave Hogwarts for a few days!" Dumbledore said seriously as he and Jerry came out of the ward. The smile on Dumbledore's face vanished instantly.

"Leave?" Jerry looked at Dumbledore incredulously. "What happened that requires you to leave at this crucial moment!"

"It's about the attack; the Ministry of Magic might request that I go to London for an investigation!"

"Huh? Those useless people in the Ministry of Magic?" Jerry almost laughed in exasperation at Dumbledore. What a lame excuse! You might as well tell me you haven't seen Grindelwald for months, miss him, and are planning to go see him!

Dumbledore: "..."

“Well, to be honest, the Ministry of Magic is only one of the reasons. Gellert wrote to me that he has made a major discovery in his investigation in Egypt and hopes that I can go there to help as soon as possible.”

"Holy crap! I actually guessed right!" Jerry thought to himself. He hadn't expected them to have already chosen their vacation spot: Egypt.

Sigh! You two had a great time, but what about all the mess at Hogwarts?

"Don't worry, Jerry, I'll leave Fawkes behind to help you deal with the Basilisk. As for Voldemort, he's just a Horcrux right now, you can handle him!"

“Professor, you really think highly of me! What did you find in Egypt that you're in such a hurry?” Jerry asked, looking at Dumbledore's serious expression.

"I'm not entirely clear on the specifics of Gellert's discovery. But he mentioned in his letter that he had found an extremely well-hidden, sealed stronghold buried in yellow sand. He is currently unable to break through the seal and enter the stronghold alone and needs my help."

"The Apostles' stronghold?" Jerry asked eagerly after hearing Dumbledore's words.

“Uncertain,” Dumbledore frowned and shook his head. “Gellert found no trace of the Apostles on the outskirts!”

Actually, there was one crucial part of the letter that Dumbledore hadn't told Jerry. That was that Gellert hadn't found any trace of the Apostles at the stronghold, but he had found traces of Jerry himself.

Dumbledore and Gellert were certain that Jerry had never been to Egypt in the past, so it could only be in the future!

Interestingly, the traces of Jerry that Gellert discovered were clearly left several years ago. However, the Ministry of Magic's Time-Turner has limited capabilities, and even now, it's impossible to use it to travel back to that time period several years ago.

This is also why Dumbledore was in such a hurry to go to Egypt.

To find out the truth behind all this, the only way is to break through the restrictions and enter the stronghold to investigate.

Chapter 138 My head is itchy, I need to grow a brain!

"Jerry, what does Headmaster Dumbledore want with you? Is it to deal with the Basilisk?" Hermione asked impatiently as Jerry walked in with his head down.

Jerry frowned, nodded slightly, and gave Hermione a perfunctory reply, but secretly pondered what Dumbledore had just told him.

He was certain that Dumbledore was hiding something from him, but he still couldn't understand what Grindelwald had discovered in Egypt that would make the usually composed and unflappable Dumbledore leave the mess at Hogwarts and rush to Egypt so eagerly.

"That's great! Now Hogwarts will be safe, and everyone won't have to worry about attacks anymore!"

Ha! Safe? Hogwarts is safe my ass! This lousy place is always full of trouble!

"It's getting late, Hermione. You should rest. I'm going back to my dorm too!" Jerry pointed to the clock on the wall. It was already 9:15 p.m., well past the school's curfew.

“Okay!” Hermione glanced at the clock, grabbed Jerry’s hand, and whispered, “Jerry, could you please talk to Madam Pomfrey for me? I’m fine now, I don’t need to stay in the hospital anymore, and I have class tomorrow!”

"No, you have to listen to the doctor at the hospital!" Jerry looked at Hermione speechlessly, gently patted her forehead, and decisively rejected her request. Everyone else pretends to be sick to skip class, but you're doing the opposite!

"Fine, don't help then. Why do you talk like my dad?" Hermione muttered, then slapped away Jerry's hand that was groping her face, her cheeks puffing up in anger.

Jerry pinched Hermione's cheek one last time, then smiled and left the infirmary amidst her sullen and dissatisfied gaze.

"Hiss! (Kill! Intruders, filthy blood! Kill!)"

In the first-floor corridor of Hogwarts, before Jerry could even enter the Slytherin common room, a hissing sound reached his ears.

Jerry instantly realized the danger of the situation. He quickly lowered his head, pulled out his wand, and tensed up every nerve in his body.

"Could it be that Voldemort is already impatient and about to launch another attack using the Basilisk?"

Jerry gripped his wand, head bowed cautiously, following the hissing sound. However, just as he stepped onto the second floor, the basilisk's hissing suddenly vanished.

"What are you doing here? Don't you know what time it is?"

Just as Jerry was completely confused, another cold but familiar voice appeared.

Jerry slowly raised his head and looked at Snape not far away, but his expression did not relax, because he was not sure whether the person in front of him was real or fake.

However, Jerry's anxiety soon subsided, because in the next few minutes, Snape's mouth was full of sweet words, spouting a whole bunch of sarcastic and sarcastic remarks, without repeating himself.

"Professor Snape, what are you doing outside the girls' restroom so late?" Jerry asked, glancing at the room next door and then gesturing to Snape.

“Now I’m asking you, not the other way around. And put away your wand. What’s wrong, Mr. Green, who thinks he’s so great? You think bullying students isn’t enough for you anymore? Now you’re planning to attack the professor?” Snape continued in his characteristic sarcastic tone.

“Professor Snape, I’ve said this many times already. If you don’t believe me, you can go to the house and ask the other students!” Jerry slowly lowered his right wand, but secretly tucked his left hand behind his back, gripping the Elder Wand tightly, just in case.

Just as the two were talking, a series of hurried footsteps sounded, and soon Professor McGonagall appeared before them.

"Severus, Jerry, what are you two doing here?" Hearing the commotion, McGonagall hurried upstairs and asked, looking at the two who seemed a little tense.

"Good evening, Professor McGonagall. I just came out of the infirmary and am heading back to the common room!" Jerry greeted Professor McGonagall politely, then looked at Snape.

After hearing Jerry's words, Professor McGonagall also looked at Snape with a puzzled expression.

"It's getting late, Jerry Green, you should go back to your dorm!" Snape said, glaring at Jerry.

Upon hearing this, Jerry breathed a sigh of relief and quickly turned to leave. The situation tonight was rather complicated, and he wanted to get away from this troublesome place as soon as possible.

In the Slytherin dormitory, Jerry stood blankly in the hallway outside his room, staring speechlessly at the door. The spell he had left behind before leaving had been triggered, meaning someone had entered his room while he was away.

What the hell do they think their dorm room is? A public toilet, where they can come and go as they please!

Jerry reluctantly pulled out the Elder Wand again, cast several protective spells on himself, and slowly opened the door, carefully checking every corner of the room as if he were sweeping through mines.

However, to Jerry's surprise, this time was different from the last. The other party not only did not leave any notes or anything, but even the traces of his own actions were cleaned up.

"He's a seasoned pro!" Jerry thought to himself. If the spell he left behind hadn't been triggered, Jerry himself might not have even noticed that someone had sneaked into his dorm room.
