Then the shadow disappeared, and a woman descended from the sky—it was Lance Sanx, who had just finished talking with Dvalin.

"Talking for so long?" Ember walked over and looked at Lance Sanx. Lance Sanx and Dvalin had been talking for a whole day, and Ember was really curious about what they had discussed.

“Yes, that’s how long it took.” Lance Sanks nodded, then said, “I told Dvalin about the stories of the dragons and such. You know our dragon stories, they’re very long.”

Ember nodded, pretending to understand, because no one had ever told him a story before, let alone one about dragons. He had never even heard of one.

Lance Sanks recalled Dvalin's behavior and couldn't help but chuckle. "Dvalin really is just like the little rascals back home, he loves listening to stories and is very curious."

"That's for sure. He's been a dragon since birth, and his only friend is someone who's never around. Seeing you, a fellow dragon, wouldn't his curiosity be through the roof?"

Ember had a look on his face that said, "I knew it." That's why he sent Lance Sanx over. They're both dragons; it'll make the conversation flow.

Lance Sanks wholeheartedly agreed with Ember's words. Dragons that actively seek knowledge are truly rare.

"By the way, Your Majesty, could you translate our dragon clan's books into the language of this world?" Lance Sanks asked Ember, thinking of the books he had given to Dvalin.

"Can't you translate it yourself?" Ember countered. Lance Sanks herself knew Teyvat Common, so she could translate it too.

"I'm not very good at it. It's okay for communication, but I'm afraid it's not enough for translating books." Lance Sanks scratched her head awkwardly, knowing full well the truth about her abilities.

Ember stroked his chin and thought for a moment, then quietly leaned close to Lance Sanx's ear and whispered, "It's possible, but be careful when you spread the dragon faith, don't let the Church of the West Wind catch you."

Although Venti himself wouldn't care about other faiths spreading in Mondstadt, it is ultimately the territory of the Anemo Archon, with a large number of Anemo Archon followers.

If Lance Sands is captured by others for spreading the dragon faith, Ember will have to get her out.

Lance Sanks was speechless after hearing Ember's words. She waved her hand helplessly and said, "Your Majesty, what are you thinking! Who said I wanted to spread the dragon faith?"

The dragons of Teyvat are very different from those of the borderlands. For the dragon faith to spread, dragons would need to reside permanently in Teyvat, modifying prayers and so on.

The thought of all this gave Lance Sanx a huge headache, so she had no intention of spreading the dragon faith here.

"Then what are you going to do?" Ember asked Lance Sanx, puzzled.

“Of course it’s for Dvalin! I gave him a book, but it turned out the writing was dragon script from the borderlands, which he can’t understand. So I came to you for help.” Lance Sanks shrugged and looked at Ember.

"Alright then." Ember nodded; he had already planned to agree anyway. Whether Lance Sanx used it to spread the dragon faith or gave it to Dvalin was irrelevant.

After a few shaky moments, Ember and Lance Sanx returned to their house in Mondstadt.

"Bring me the original you want to translate, and I'll translate it from it." Ember held a blank book in his hand and beckoned to Lance Sanx.

"Go outside, Your Majesty." Lance Sanx gave an awkward yet polite smile and ran into the courtyard.

Yu Jin was completely confused, but he followed Lance Sanx into the courtyard.

"This is the book you were talking about?!"

Yu Jin looked at the two "books" that were as big as stone blocks and even bigger than him, and cried out in disbelief.

"Is this thing some kind of brick that dragons use to fight?" Yu Jin suddenly had this outrageous thought.

“Yes, this is a book, a book of our dragon race.” Lance Sanks nodded firmly; this was definitely not a brick!

Chapter 155 Dvalin Wants to Breathe Fire

2023-09-07

In the hidden realm of the Wind Dragon Ruins, Dvalin continued to tirelessly turn the pages of the enormous book.

Although the illustrations in the book are static, Dvalin finds them a rare pastime that he never tires of.

The pages in front of Dvalin paused, depicting scenes of giant dragons breathing their dragon breath.

Just as Lance Sanx said, dragon breath contains fire, ice, and poison... but the most abundant is fire.

Dvalin looked at the surging flames and dragon breath on the screen, a hint of longing in his eyes.

Lance Sanx said that in their land, all dragons possess dragonfire to some degree.

The ancient dragon goes without saying, but the various forms of breath attacks from flying dragons are actually compromises made by the dragons to adapt to their environment.

The different colored breaths they exhaled were actually dragon fire in the past.

"Whoosh!" Dvalin exhaled a wisp of azure east wind. The tiny whirlwind seemed to possess boundless power, swirling and howling as it drifted into the distance.

As Dvalin watched himself unleash a tornado, an idea suddenly popped into his head: a brilliant idea to allow him to breathe fire.

"Roar!" Dvalin grew more and more excited as he thought about it, and he couldn't wait to flap his wings and take flight. After many days, Dvalin once again flew out of the Wind Dragon Ruins.

"Hehehe, see? The erosion of the abyss is not so easy to resist." The fire mage looked at Dvalin, who was flying away from the Wind Dragon Ruins in the distance, and let out a sharp and piercing laugh.

So, they finally succumbed to the abyss's corruption? Want to go out and wreak havoc on Mondstadt? Then how could they be left out!

When it comes to causing trouble, those abyss mages are professionals! Since Dvalin is too ashamed to confront them, then they'll just have to swallow their pride and forgive Dvalin!

"Follow up with Stormterror! How can we be left out of causing chaos!" the fire mage shouted to his companions behind him, and then teleported to catch up with Dvalin.

Seeing this, the other abyss mages followed the fire mage and teleported away, while only the ice mage, who was at the back, had some doubts.

"Was the Stormterror just now very happy?" the Ice Mage muttered to himself, sensing a lightness in the wind he had never smelled before.

Then it shook its head, realizing it must have been overthinking things. Just as the fire mage had said, the corruption of the abyss wasn't so easy to shake off.

Perhaps Dvarin was truly unable to bear the poisonous blood, so he went out to vent his frustration.

……

High in the sky, Tvalin looked down at the familiar yet unfamiliar scenery below, his heart filled with many emotions.

For the first time in five hundred years, this seemed to be the first time he had truly appreciated the scenery of Mondstadt. His awakened form was blinded by resentment, preventing him from seeing anything clearly.

Now, taking a closer look, Mondstadt seems quite unfamiliar again. Small groups of people can be seen walking along the newly opened roads.

People are different, roads are different, but one thing is the same—that is, when pedestrians on the road see a giant dragon flying in the sky, they are all terrified without exception.

However, Tvalin has also changed. In the past, he might have felt sad and upset because of people's fears—of course, he still feels a little uncomfortable now.

But now that I've encountered other dragons, I don't care about meeting you humans anymore! Dvalin raised his head and flew higher into the sky.

Mountains, plains, low plateaus... countless landscapes swept past Dvalin. Finally, after flying over a winery, Dvalin slowly landed.

If he remembered correctly, there should be many Flame Flowers growing here. Flame Flowers generally grow in places where ley lines converge or are blocked. Only in such places can the Flames absorb enough fire element to transform into a higher level.

However, the Flameflower growing near the Dawn Winery clearly has no chance of growing to a higher level now.

Because Dvalin had taken a liking to them. Dvalin slowly approached the Flameflower, the enormous dragon head and the tiny Flameflower forming a stark contrast.

"Ha...ha...what is the Wind Demon Dragon doing?" In the distance, four Abyss Mages watched Dvalin's actions and whispered weakly to each other.

Tvalin did nothing along the way, making them all wonder if he was on a picnic.

It's fortunate that Tvalin flies at a speed that's like a leisurely stroll, otherwise they wouldn't be able to catch up even if they tried their hardest.

Now that he had finally stopped, he was staring intently at a blazing flower. This left the Abyss Mage even more bewildered.

The flame flowers on the ground seemed to sense something; their stamens shook even more violently, and fierce flames erupted from them.

Unfortunately, the flames of the Flameflower couldn't harm Dvalin at all. The flames striking Dvalin's scales were like sparks hitting a piece of iron—a brief flash, and then nothing more.

Seeing this, Dvalin did not hesitate any longer. He opened his mouth and bit the Flame Flower, holding the stamen in his mouth.

A faint heat rose from Dvalin's mouth; even though it was being held in his mouth, the fire elemental power within the Flame Flower's stamen had not dissipated. It continued to radiate heat outwards.

[That's it!] Dvalin felt a surge of excitement. Now, he should be able to unleash dragonfire!

"Boom!" The breath of the east wind passed through the pistil of the Flame Flower, and the wind element and the fire element in the pistil diffused and reacted.

The azure dragon breath instantly turned crimson, and the scorching wind swept in, burning everything in front of Dvalin to ashes.

"Hahaha, well done, Stormterror!" The fire mage was excited when he saw Dvalin breathing fire.

It was right about the dragon; Dvalin had come up with such a brilliant idea! Spreading the wind into fire was far more destructive than wind alone.

"Hmm?" Dvalin noticed something was wrong, turned his head and fired a wind blast, shredding the bushes where the abyss mages were hiding.

"Ha...haha, hello Stormterror." Meeting Dvalin's menacing gaze, the abyss mages gave awkward smiles and slowly walked over.

"Huff—" Dvalin let out a heavy sigh as he watched the abyss mages slowly approach him.

"Why are you here? I'm warning you, if I see you causing trouble, my previous promises will be void."

Dvalin's dragon eyes were fixed on the abyss mages below, and he spoke as if issuing a warning.

These guys, just like Hilichurls, can be seen everywhere.

"What did you say? Weren't you just causing trouble?!" The fire mage reacted most strongly to Dvalin's words.

It pointed to the large charred area in front of Dvalin, looking very excited.

What's wrong? You're allowed to breathe fire like a Stormterror, but we Abyss Mages aren't allowed to cause trouble?

“Uh…” Dvalin looked at the land in front of him that had been burned by the dragon’s breath. There was nothing left but ashes.

“How could I be the same as you? I’m just testing my new ability!” Tvalin’s eyes darted around, glancing at the Dawn Winery in the distance, and then he said:

"See those wineries over there? I'm making fertilizer for them! Can you do that?" Seemingly convinced that his statement was perfectly reasonable, Tvalin straightened his back and raised his head even higher.

"You are..." The fire mage was about to say "bullshit" when a sudden gust of wind arose—Dvalin was airborne.

"Bye-bye, someone's coming. With your tricks, you should be able to escape." Dvalin's warning came from high in the sky, and then the dragon disappeared.

Just as the Abyss Mages were being buffeted by the gale whipped up by Dvalin, a figure quickly arrived from the distant winery.

Diluc surveyed his surroundings warily; Stormterror had just landed near the winery. Logically and emotionally, he felt obligated to investigate.

However, what Diluc saw before him left him somewhat bewildered. Vast fields had turned to dust and smoke, and towering fruit trees had been reduced to charcoal.

This wasn't the kind of destruction Dvalin could cause; he was a wind dragon, not a fire dragon. Diluc didn't recall many creatures capable of unleashing such a massive firestorm.

Who could it be? Diluc glanced around and spotted the Abyss Mages still dazed and confused not far away.

"Was the thing he created so powerful that even he didn't anticipate it?" Diluc saw the Abyss Mage and had his answer.

No wonder we haven't been able to find any information about these guys these days; they've been tinkering with such a powerful weapon.

"That's enough, you inhuman creature!" Diluc charged forward, greatsword in hand.

"Brothers, stop him!" The abyss mages snapped back to their senses and immediately began to flee!
