The Embers of King's Teyvat Journey

"Weren't we supposed to stop him? Why are you all running away!" The fire mage questioned his companions as he ran.
"Why didn't you stop him!" The Ice Mage glanced at the menacing Diluc behind him and immediately retorted.
The imposing presence of the human behind it made it clear that it was no match for him. Although sacrificing himself for the cult was its duty.
However, if possible, it would prefer to postpone fulfilling this responsibility.
"At this rate, we'll all be caught!" The fire mage teleported to a distant location once more, gazing into the distance. A fiery red figure was rapidly approaching.
"Ice mage, water mage, freeze him in a minute!" The fire mage used his intelligence to come up with a solution.
"Then don't you dare run away!" Two abyss mages, one in blue and one in white, stepped out, holding staffs and beginning to chant incantations.
"We absolutely won't run away!" The fire mage nodded to the lightning mage, pulling him along.
Having been tempered by elemental forces, Diluc's physical abilities far surpassed those of ordinary people. In no time, he arrived before the abyss mages.
"Hmph! It's rare that you guys are smart enough to know you can't escape?" Diluc saw the abyss mages waiting for him quietly, and his greatsword began to blaze with flames.
He wasn't foolish enough to think the Abyss Mage would actually wait for him; there must be some conspiracy involved!
"Haha, you've misunderstood! I genuinely want to pledge allegiance to you!" But to the shock of the other abyss mages, the fire mage, upon seeing Diluc's figure, fawned over him, rubbing his short hands together as he slowly floated over.
"What! You actually betrayed the Order!"
"And you said you wanted to become an Apostle? I think the Blazing Flower is the most suitable for you!"
……
Upon hearing the fire mage's words, the abyss mages were immediately thrown into turmoil. Since the order's founding, there had never been a traitor, and now they had unexpectedly encountered one.
Amidst the barrage of insults, only the Frost Mage seemed to have something to worry about: had the Fire Mage just given it a look?
The ice mage looked at the fire mage and found that the fire mage had given it another look.
The ice mage touched his head with his staff. What did that mean?
The fire mage was completely bewildered by the ice mage's appearance, and seeing that the others only knew how to curse him, he couldn't help but sigh. What kind of precious things were in the Order? How could they possibly achieve their plans with this?
"Hmm?" Diluc was puzzled when he saw the fire mage approaching him without taking any protective measures and saying things like surrendering.
Could it be that this Fire Abyss Mage has had a change of heart and is going to surrender? Just as Diluc was wondering, he saw the Lightning Abyss Mage in the distance already making his move.
"Die, you traitor!" Thunder Abyss Mage, filled with boundless rage, unleashed countless deep purple lightning balls towards the fire mage.
"Ah!" The fire mage took the hit head-on without taking any defensive measures, and his skin was immediately torn open.
Purple lightning surged across its body, the fur on its neck curled up, and its warm orange mage skirt turned charred black.
"Damn it! Get behind me!" Diluc saw more lightning bolts hurtling towards the fire mage and immediately jumped in front of it.
He couldn't let a mere abyss mage who was willing to surrender die like that. He had many questions to ask the Abyss Order.
Diluc swung his greatsword, slashing down all the lightning bolts, but in return, his hands were also charred.
Diluc shook his hand, and the tingling sensation in his body dissipated considerably. He raised his greatsword with one hand and addressed the abyss mages:
"You must learn to assess the situation carefully; you are now surrounded! If you act like your companions, I can guarantee your safety!"
When Diluc saw that a real abyss mage had surrendered, he immediately had the idea of persuading him.
In the past, he would kill without saying a word, because he knew that you couldn't get anything out of an abyss mage.
But things are different now. If one person surrenders, there will be many more!
The fire mage quietly stood up; the lightning on its body had dissipated, but the pain remained.
[Damn it, I'll make you pay when we get back!] The fire mage glanced at the lightning mage confronting Diluc in the distance, thinking about how he should teach his companion who had tried to kill him a lesson when they got back.
"Hoo!" The fire mage took a deep breath, suddenly ran to Diluc's side, and hugged him tightly.
"Freeze him!" the fire mage shouted to his companion, whose legs then wrapped around Diluc as well.
"Water Mage! Attack!" The Ice Mage was the first to react. It swung its staff, and huge blocks of ice fell from the sky, smashing into Diluc and the Fire Mage.
"Ah—, I'm going to die, I'm going to die!" the fire mage cried out in pain, but even so, it still did not let go.
"Damn it!" Diluc immediately realized something was wrong. With his powerful punch, he smashed the fire mage on the head, slamming it to the ground.
However, the water bubble from the Water Method arrived shortly after. The enormous bubble was as big as a person; if someone were trapped inside, it would probably take them a long time to break free.
Diluc swung his greatsword, and the bubble proved surprisingly fragile. The moment the greatsword touched the bubble, it burst open.
The water splashed onto Diluc and the fire mage, who were both covered in ice elemental energy, immediately froze them.
"Hurry, carry the fire mage and run!" The ice mage and water mage kept casting ice and water elemental spells on Diluc, who was about to break free.
Thunder Mage nodded mechanically, then quickly ran to Fire Mage's side. She hadn't quite figured out what was happening, but she did as she was told. Thunder Mage swiftly reached Fire Mage, dragging the now-ice-sculpted Fire Mage along, and teleported away.
Upon seeing this, the ice mage and the water mage nodded to each other and then teleported away.
The ice and water mages had barely disappeared when the shards of ice on Diluc shattered. He shook his head, watching the direction the abyss mages had gone, but didn't give chase.
Diluc straightened his disheveled coat and pulled a crumpled piece of paper from his pocket.
Unfold it, and you'll see a stick figure holding a book. Below it, a few crooked words read: Abyss Apostle - Abyssfire.
Diluc sensed the abyss mages' presence fading into the distance until they disappeared completely. A smile tugged at the corner of his mouth: "I hope that next time we meet, you'll have enough information to buy your life."
……
"Wake up! Wake up!" At the entrance to the Wind Dragon Ruins, the Abyss Mages were surrounding the unconscious Fire Mage, performing first aid methods they had heard about from somewhere.
"Cough cough cough!" After being thoroughly ravaged, the fire mage finally came to its senses. It glanced at the lightning mage beside it and then launched a powerful attack.
"You want me dead, huh!" The fire mage immediately stood up and started punching and kicking the lightning mage.
"Stop hitting me! Stop hitting me! How are we supposed to know you're a fake? You didn't even discuss this with us beforehand!" Lei Fa squatted on the ground, clutching his head and shouting.
"If I were to discuss this with you, we would all be back in the ley lines by now!" The fire mage was even more furious upon hearing this.
It then turned and tapped Ice Mage on the head, saying, "I thought you were the smartest of them all, but it turns out you're just as stupid?"
It was giving the Ice Mage a look that made its eyelids twitch, but the Ice Mage didn't react at all, which infuriated it.
After knocking for a while, the fire mage got bored and stopped. It sat down on the ground and said to the abyss mages, "You can leave now, don't follow me."
It just revealed the Apostle's information, and it might be discovered at any time. Those companions who continue to follow it may suffer undeserved misfortune.
"Seriously? We've been partners for so long? You're already giving up just because we're a little slow?" The water mage looked at the fire mage, feeling that it was a bit too fragile for the situation.
It's just a near-death experience, right? Aren't they used to do this all the time? Why is the fire mage reacting so strongly this time?
"Forget it, I can't explain it to you. If you want to come, then come!" The fire mage shook his head, realizing he had overthought things.
They were already marginal figures in the cult, so no one would care about them. Besides, even if someone did, they wouldn't suspect them of leaking intelligence.
After all, since the Abyss Order was founded, all its members have kept their mouths shut and have never revealed any information.
Thinking of this, the fire mage felt relieved again.
Chapter 157 The Poison of the Abyss

"Apostle... Apostle?" In an open space in the Wind Dragon Ruins, the Abyss Mages, who had not rested for long, immediately stood up.
For a higher being had appeared before them. The tattered, grey-red cloak, the spiked halo floating behind it, and the round magical artifact hovering in its hand all spoke of the newcomer's identity—Abyss Singer Abyssfire.
The abyss mages felt the abyssal power and fire elemental force surging out in front of them and couldn't help but lower their heads.
The Abyss Singers are demonic beings who wield the fires of the abyss and pursue the meaning of the canons. Although they are not the forerunners of the abyss like the Abyss Apostles, their power, gained through years of chanting the canons of grace, is no less than that of the Abyss Apostles.
"You've all been quite lax lately. Why has the wind in Mondstadt calmed down?" Abyssfire looked at the several abyss mages kneeling with their heads bowed, his tone full of impatience.
The power of the abyss has clearly been infused into the Stormterror's body. With just a little guidance from these abyss mages, the Stormterror could be made to submit to the abyss.
But now it sees nothing. The dragon scourge of Mondstadt has subsided, and Stormterror is in the tower, while these abyss mages are resting here?
If it weren't for the fact that there's no concept of betrayal within the Abyss Order, it would probably have suspected that these guys had actually betrayed the Order.
"M-Master, it's not that we're not trying, but recently a strange fellow has appeared in Mondstadt. No matter what fluctuations the wind may have, he will stop it."
The fire mage stepped forward first, explaining tremblingly, "It's not that they don't try; it's just that every time they manage to make a move, it's extinguished by a creature clad in full armor."
"Useless! I told you to guide the Wind Demon Dragon to submit to the Order, and what are you doing now?" Yuanhuo looked at the four Abyss Mages in front of him and felt that they were hopeless.
No wonder everyone else was sent out to carry out the Order's plans, while they were left here to incite the Stormterror.
"If you're so capable, why don't you go and persuade that stupid dragon yourself!" the fire mage retorted inwardly.
Instigating Stormterror sounds like a cushy job, but it's really more like suicide. Stormterror hates the abyss, and he's being corrupted by poisonous blood, making his personality unpredictable.
He "accidentally" encountered almost all of the guys the cult sent to brainwash Stormterror.
As for being touched by the massive Wind Demon Dragon, the consequences were predictable. Only the four of them, with their genius-level eloquence and an extraordinary spirit of slacking off compared to ordinary abyss mages, managed to barely gain the Wind Demon Dragon's attention.
If this Abyss Singer were sent to incite the Wind Demon Dragon, he would probably be swallowed whole in less than a second.
"How's Wind Demon Dragon doing lately?" Yuan Huo glanced at the fire mage with his head bowed in front of him and asked routinely.
The fire mage immediately stammered, pausing for a long time before finally saying, "Replying to...replying to your question, sir, the Wind Demon Dragon seems to be..."
"Something seems wrong?" A bad feeling suddenly rose in Yuanhuo's heart. It stared intently at the fire mage, waiting for its next words.
"It seems they're going to sever ties with the cult!"
"What did you say?" Yuan Huo immediately teleported forward, grabbed the fire mage by the neck, and lifted him up by force.
"Ugh..." Fire Mage instinctively grabbed Yuan Huo's red arm tightly, pounding on it in hopes that Yuan Huo would let it go.
"My lord! This is not its fault!" The other abyss mages rushed forward and said anxiously when they saw the fire mage roll his eyes.
"My lord, a new dragon has appeared. After the Wind Demon Dragon met it, it refused to contact the Order anymore." The Ice Mage, seeing that Abyssal Fire's hand had loosened slightly, immediately continued:
"If you want to see Stormterror, you'll definitely need it. It's Stormterror's friend, and it has the best relationship with Stormterror!"
"Oh? It seems you guys are still somewhat useful." Yuan Huo released his hand, and the fire mage, having caught his breath, greedily inhaled the air, letting out heavy panting.
Upon seeing this, the water mage immediately began to soak the fire mage's body with water elemental energy. Since it did not possess healing magic, it could only alleviate the fire mage's pain in this way.
"Cough cough..." The brief suffocation was not an unbearable pain for the abyss mage. The fire mage only lay on the ground for a while before standing up.
"My lord wishes to see the Wind Demon Dragon? I will lead the way." The fire mage bowed to Abyssfire and then led Abyssfire toward the tower.
The tower's seal and height might be a problem for an Abyss Mage, but it's nothing to an Abyss Chanter.
