"what?"

Charlotte touched her hood. "You can see me smiling?"

“I can imagine it.” The old Steve’s blue light dimmed.

"Then your imagination is also a silver bullet."

Hearing the siren, Charlotte waved.

"Let's get out of here first, then find an opportunity to take out the Evil Six and the other contestants. This round should be pretty much won."

"You guys go first, I'll stay here and tell George a few things."

Gwen handed Charlotte the house keys. "This is the apartment I just bought. George doesn't know about it."

"What? You bought a house?"

Charlotte gritted her teeth, "You don't deserve to be Spider-Man at all."

Gwen: "."

Jealousy made Spider-Man incredibly ugly.

Parker the Lizard looked worried and said to Gwen, "Your father doesn't like Spider-Man, you have to be careful."

"That was before."

Gwen looked relaxed as she took out her phone.

“He already knew my identity, which is why he provided me with this so that I could support the police at any time.”

"Really? Congratulations! He accepted Spider-Man." Lizard Parker breathed a sigh of relief.

If you can accept Spider-Man, you should also be able to accept Peter Parker as the Lizard.

There shouldn't be much difference between insects and lizards.

Soon, everyone left the scene.

When the police car arrived, George got out and saw that only Gwen was there, so he quickly waved.

"Jerry, keep an eye on the surroundings and don't let anyone disturb us."

"Ok."

Jerry got out of the car and then ignored Spider-Man who climbed into the car.

Clearly, this wasn't the first time he had acted as a lookout for the father and daughter.

Inside the car, Gwen briefly recounted what had happened, leaving George feeling utterly bewildered.

"This is terrible news. Visitors from a parallel universe, how are they going to save the world?"

He looked at Gwen. "Are they trustworthy?"

Gwen nodded. "Of course, they also have a Spider-Man in their team."

"See that bridge over there? Spider-Man did that. He's really strong; he doesn't need to lie to me."

George glanced at the broken section of the bridge, his brow furrowed with deep doubt and worry.

“If a global crisis really exists, my daughter, I hope you will not get involved in their actions; it is too dangerous.”

"Father, I am Spider-Man."

Gwen said earnestly, “From a young age, you taught me to help the weak, punish criminals, make the city as clean as possible, and let everyone see hope. That’s what I’ve been doing, and I hope you can support me.”

George sighed, "All parents teach their children this way because they can't do it themselves, and neither can I."

If a child actually manages to do that, adults actually don't want their child to continue, because it's dangerous, and they feel they could lose the child at any moment.

"But at least let me try."

Gwen hugged her father and whispered, "Saving the world isn't just for everyone, it's also for you, Father. You're also a person living on Earth. If the world is destroyed, I'll have no father anymore."

The whispers in his ear sent a shiver down George's spine, and he patted Gwen's back with trembling hands.

"Gwen, you...you have to keep going."

"Yes, thank you, Father."

Outside the car, Eddie excitedly looked at the photos he had taken, then turned around and made a phone call.

"Boss, I got the footage. It's a secret between Sheriff George and Spider-Man. I saw them hugging."

"What!!"

In the office, Jonah Jameson laughed, a cigar dangling from his lips.

"Hahaha, great! So they were in cahoots! No wonder we haven't heard from Spider-Man lately. I'm going to expose them to everyone this time, I'm going to!"

"Dong Dong~"

Just then, there was a knock on the door, and Betty entered.

"Boss, have you hired any new reporters?"

Jonah hung up the phone. "How could that be? I had no intention of hiring anyone new."

He was in a great mood and didn't yell at Betty.

Betty looked puzzled. "But a strange person came here to register, and he even has our work IDs."

"Work ID?"

Jonah reached out and took the work pass from Betty.

"Peter Parker? Graduated from Blue University?"

Jonah frowned, then casually tossed it aside.

"What a terrible school, I've never even heard of it. Tell him to get out of here."

"Ok."

Betty picked up her work ID with a helpless expression, turned around, closed the door, and returned to her workstation.

A young man, seemingly dazed, sat in a chair, his posture slightly stiff.

“Peter Parker, I’m sorry, we’re not hiring here, and you’re not an employee of our company.”

Betty returned the work permit to the other person, her expression showing some sympathy.

This guy looks dull; he can't answer nine out of ten questions.

They must have escaped from a mental hospital.

For some reason, she felt a sense of familiarity when she first saw Peter Parker.

Seems like I've seen it somewhere.

She instinctively wanted to help the man.

Thinking it over, Betty said softly, "Do you have any friends? I'll call them and have them come pick you up."

"I"

Peter Parker thought carefully, "I think I have it, but I don't think I do."

"Take your time thinking. Would you like some coffee?"

Betty handed the other person a glass of hot milk.

“This isn’t coffee.” Peter Parker stared blankly at Betty.

Betty smiled. "It seems your illness isn't too serious."

“I’m not sick,” Peter Parker said weakly, head down.

Suddenly, he seemed to remember something.

“I remember now, I have friends.”

"What's his name? What's his phone number?" Betty asked quickly.

Peter Parker rubbed his forehead. "His name is Peter Parker, yes."

“Sir, you are Peter Parker.” Betty was disappointed once again.

Peter Parker nodded blankly, "Yes, I am Peter Parker."

"Oh right, I know where I live now," he said with a silly grin.

Seeing this, Betty sighed and shook her head.

"Okay, my overtime is over. I'll take you home."

"Thank you, but I'm hungry."

"I invite you to dinner."

"Thank you."

Late at night, in an old apartment building.

Outside, Peter Parker was fumbling for a non-existent key, while the landlord kept a close eye on the apartment across the hall.

“Peter Parker, you’re finally back. You owe me five months’ rent.”

Hearing the commotion, the landlord opened the door and roared, only to find an intellectual-looking woman standing next to Peter Parker. He immediately felt awkward and touched his bald head.

"Are you also one of Peter's creditors?" he asked with a forced smile.

Betty frowned but did not answer.

“Living in this place, with such high work pressure, it’s no wonder she’s mentally unstable,” she muttered.

Thinking of this, her sympathy overflowed even more.
