Let's restart, Spider-Man!

"Is this the legendary single-level apartment?" Lizard Parker shed tears of self-doubt.
As elderly Steve looked around the room and its furnishings, he realized that he, a man not yet two hundred years old, had never lived in such a luxurious house in his life, and he instantly felt a strong sense of dissatisfaction with his pension.
“I think we should investigate Gwen’s father,” he said seriously.
Felicia rolled her eyes. "I'll take you to my castle sometime and show you what true luxury is."
"Charlotte said you're a thief, and I'll definitely arrest you if I get the chance."
Then, old Steve paused, "While you're at it, blow up your castle."
Felicia's face stiffened; she didn't want to argue with an elderly person.
Charlotte sat on the sofa and took a deep breath.
"This is the smell of money!!"
"It smells like formaldehyde," Carter warned.
Charlotte squinted, "The formaldehyde here is so wonderful."
Carter: "."
She turned on the TV and said, "There will definitely be a lot of reporters covering tonight's events, and the Evil Six will definitely notice something is wrong."
If they choose to hide, it will be difficult to find them in a short period of time.
On the other side, elderly Steve was tinkering with the smart coffee machine.
"Don't worry about that, I think they'll make a move soon."
Carter was puzzled when he heard this.
"How can you be sure?"
Older Steve and Charlotte exchanged a glance, then changed the subject.
"By the way, how do you make coffee without coffee beans?" he asked.
"It's in the cabinet under the coffee machine," said Felicia, who was visiting the balcony.
"How did you know?" Old Steve actually found unmarked coffee beans in the cabinet.
"I have the same one at home."
"Great, I've got it. I'll definitely blow up this expensive-looking coffee machine when the time comes."
After saying that, the elderly Steve continued to study how to grind coffee beans.
Meanwhile, Lizard Parker found the storage room and hid the weapons he had stolen from the Black Order in a corner.
"Hmm, that should solve the problem." He smiled with satisfaction.
He then went to the living room and saw that the television was reporting on the Brooklyn Bridge incident.
He was about to join Charlotte and Carter's conversation when his cell phone rang, which made him feel guilty.
"Why didn't you answer the phone?" Carter asked, turning around.
Lizard Parker looked embarrassed. "Um... I..."
"It was the landlord calling; he owes four months' rent," Charlotte guessed.
Lizard Parker glared at Charlotte, "Mind your own business!"
He hung up the phone, pretended nothing had happened, and went to old Steve's side to examine the coffee machine together.
A moment later, Gwen's voice suddenly appeared.
"Hi everyone, do you like this place?"
Gwen was hanging upside down outside the French windows, clinging to a spiderweb, startling everyone.
"Spider-Man never uses the front door?" Carter asked Charlotte.
Charlotte shrugged. "I guess she had to go through the window because she gave me the key."
"She could have knocked on the door."
Old Steve made a comment.
As soon as Gwen turned and went inside, Felicia spoke up.
"I want the leftmost bedroom."
Gwen: "."
This is her bedroom; she has excellent taste.
"Let's not talk about that now, there's something very important."
She gathered everyone around the table and casually tossed the hood onto the sofa.
“The bodies of the four aliens have disappeared,” she said gravely.
"Disappeared?"
Carter said thoughtfully, "They must have been eliminated."
"Elimination?" Gwen asked, puzzled. Parker the lizard then explained the reason to her.
After hearing Puck's explanation, Gwen became even more curious about the revival match.
Carter, however, noticed a detail.
"Wait, the Black Obsidian Four were eliminated, so why are their weapons still around?" she frowned.
Upon hearing this, Charlotte and the elderly Steve exchanged glances again.
“This mission has no time limit, and the outcome is uncertain. They are not necessarily losers, so they shouldn’t be considered eliminated,” Charlotte explained.
Carter still had doubts, but he didn't ask any further questions.
If even the reigning champions have said so, then she, a newcomer who has only won one reigning match, certainly has no reason to continue to doubt.
After all, they don't have much experience.
Nearby, elderly Steve leaned closer to Gwen and whispered, "Tell me honestly, did your father commit a crime?"
Gwen: "???"
"watt?"
“He meant, how did you manage to buy such a big house?” Felicia rolled her eyes.
Gwen realized what was happening and couldn't help but laugh.
“This has nothing to do with my father. I applied for a patent for the materials related to artificial spider silk, and this property was bought with the patent fees.”
"Artificial spider silk?"
Charlotte was on the verge of tears. "I envy this world so much, because there's no damn Tony Stark here."
He didn't want to continue the conversation.
He got up and walked towards one of the rooms. "I'm going to sleep now."
“That’s the room I’ve got my eye on,” Lizard Parker reminded him.
Charlotte didn't even turn her head. "I'm in a bad mood right now. If you say another word, I'll definitely beat you up," she threatened, raising her fist.
"you"
Lizard Parker was unconvinced, but before he could open his mouth, old Steve covered his mouth.
Shh, you can't beat him.
Lizard Parker: "."
That makes a lot of sense.
But I'm not convinced!
However, even more devastating things were yet to come.
-
The next morning, after having breakfast, Charlotte and the others were preparing to go out to look for clues about the Evil Six.
"Do not!!"
Suddenly, Parker the lizard, with his messy hair, opened the door and rushed into the living room, sliding to his knees towards the floor-to-ceiling window.
Looking at the bustling city streets, he shed tears of sorrow.
Since Charlotte appeared, his life has been completely thrown into chaos.
Previously, it was simply poverty.
But now, he's unemployed!
Carter got up and came over, handing Lizard Parker a glass of hot milk.
"You won't be upset that we didn't call you for breakfast, will you?"
"No, that's not the case."
"My boss just called and told me I'm fired," said Lizard Parker, his face contorted with frustration.
Old Steve looked at him with sympathy. "That's terrible news. By the way, what's your job?"
"Delivering pizzas."
Old Steve's face twitched. "Well, actually you can find another one."
"You don't understand, he's going to deduct half a month's salary from my paycheck." Lizard Parker clutched his chest; his heart was bleeding.
Charlotte's face changed drastically. "What? Salary deduction? We're doomed! The Parker family's sky is falling!" He was filled with terror.
Felicia and Gwen looked at each other, finding it hard to understand the thoughts of these poor people.
“Peter, what exactly happened?” Gwen stepped forward and helped Parker up, asking softly.
Lizard Parker looked heartbroken. "I had already asked for leave in advance, but my boss just called to tell me that I stole a customer's pizza, and then I was fired and had my salary docked. I still have four months' rent to pay!"
Gwen frowned. "Could there be a mistake? You were definitely with us."
Lizard Parker shook his head. "I don't know."
