Upon meeting, Rhodes didn't say a word. He immediately used a Wood Dragon Technique to bind the Blue Dragon Queen, then followed up with a Chakra Seal and threw her into his own space. Rhodes intended to make good use of the Blue Dragon Queen.
After defeating the Blue Dragon Queen, Rhodes arrived at the top of Icecrown Citadel, where the Lich King Arthas was seated.
“I have witnessed your special resurrection spell; it is indeed amazing. Why don’t you join the Scourge?” Arthas said to Rhodes.
"Why don't you come and be my subordinate? I can let you carry my shoes," Rod said with a chuckle.
Chapter 352 Defeating the Lich King, Arthas's Doom
Arthas actually wanted to recruit him, something Rhodes never expected. "You bastard, take a good look in the mirror! Who do you think you are? Do you really think you're so great just because you're the Lich King?"
If you were to become my subordinate, I'd still complain about your low combat effectiveness, your mental illness, and your constant bouts of madness.
The phrase "You can only do things like putting on my shoes and lifting my heels" is extremely humiliating in the East.
But in the West, the meaning is a little different. At this moment, Arthas, and even the group of adventurers who came with Rhodes to run the dungeon and then died, all looked at Rhodes with a very strange gaze.
What the Lich King just said wasn't a big problem; the demigod just needed to refuse in a grand manner. But what kind of bizarre request is it to recruit the Lich King as a subordinate and then ask him to put shoes on your shoes?
"Please, darling, you actually made him put your shoes on for you? Can't I do it for you?" Sylvanas looked at Rhodes speechlessly and said.
It's usually a wife or maid who puts shoes on her husband. How can you expect me to put my face in a man's shoes?
“My demigod, the Lich King Arthas is not easy to deal with. We must be careful,” Tirion Fordring said, trying to smooth things over.
“Hmph! In my opinion, Arthas is as easy as a bargaining chip in Seoul,” Rhodes said.
"Hahaha! Rhodes, you're quite the comedian. 'Selling your head while lying on the label' is a very apt description," Kael'thas said.
He did understand the meaning of those words; the way they spoke seemed somewhat similar to the way the Pandaren Empire spoke.
As a continuation of the Highborne of the former Night Elf Empire, the Blood Elves have many ancient records, including some books about the Pandaren.
The demigod Rhodes spoke in a manner very similar to that of the Pandaren.
The demigod is truly learned! He even knows about Pandaria.
At this moment, Sylvanas tiptoed to Rhodes' ear and whispered, "If you want to humiliate him, just use some offensive language. Don't say anything weird! We don't understand what you mean at all, and it just seems strange. When did you go to Pandaria?"
"Further words are useless. I will kill you and make you my subordinate. Then I will obtain the spell that allows kings to resurrect in a more perfect form. I will turn Azeroth into a world of kings, where all life must be annihilated."
Arthas picked up his Frostmourne and pointed it at Rhodes, then unleashed a strange icy power, attempting to move Rhodes directly.
Holy crap! Arthas is trying to give Tirion Fordring this treatment. But I'm not some slacker raid leader, I'm a super powerful raid leader.
Rhodes snorted and covered his entire body with his dragonfire. Arthas's icy power was unable to freeze him at all. In fact, the powerful fire power even pushed back and suppressed the Lich King's ice.
"How is this possible? The power of Frostmourne! The biting winds of Northrend can't even freeze you." Arthas said in disbelief.
"Besides this sword, what other skills do you have? I heard that 9.9% of your combat power comes from this sword?" Rhodes said with extreme sarcasm.
"All life must perish! I want you dead." Arthas charged forward, wielding Twin Sorrows and slashing at Rhodes.
"Prepare for battle! Warriors, support the demigod!" Tirion Fordring roared immediately, drawing his Ashbringer and leading the remaining warriors to join the battle.
However, Sylvanas and Hela waved their hands, signaling everyone to stay put.
“Let him relax a bit! Let him play for a little while,” Hela said.
Rhodes sneered and dodged Arthas's slash with a quick movement. Then he raised his hand and punched the Lich King in the forehead.
Then came a barrage of uppercuts, backflips, left hooks, and right hooks, followed by a whip kick that sent the Lich King Arthas flying, crashing heavily to the ground.
Arthas's seemingly ferocious attacks were no joke to Rhodes, who possessed Observation Haki, chakra perception, and the dynamic vision of the Rinne Sharingan. Unless one moved at the speed of light, Arthas's attacks appeared to Rhodes as slow-motion replays.
You're full of flaws, kid!
"Why are you lying on the ground? Arthas! Get up, get up now." Rhodes came up to Arthas, beckoned him with his finger and said.
Arthas was swaying slightly. The series of attacks had stunned him. His prized Frost Armor and the powerful Lich King's Helm had failed to defend against the opponent's attacks; every punch landed squarely on his head.
Moreover, the power of these punches was not only physical, but also contained a very special energy, which made him very uncomfortable.
"I'll show you the Lich King's power." Arthas stood up once more. This time, he dared not be careless in the slightest. He assumed a fighting stance, gripping Frostmourne in both hands, and charged towards Rhodes. He leaped into the air and unleashed a powerful downward slash at Rhodes.
Rhodes snorted coldly, his five fingers turning pitch black, and then caught the Lich King Arthas's Sorrow of Ecstasy.
Arthas was shocked to see this. How could it be? There was actually someone in the world who dared to catch Frostmourne with one hand!
This is the artifact I'm so proud of, the artifact that will help me achieve my goal of becoming a hegemon!
His former mentor Uther, the dreadlord of the Burning Legion, his own father, and even a powerful demon hunter all fell to this sword.
"How is this possible?" Arthas exclaimed in shock, trying to pull his sword back, but Rhodes wouldn't let him.
"There are still many impossible things to do, kid!"
Rhode gripped the blade of Frostmourne, and with a sudden burst of strength, flipped Arthas over, slamming him heavily to the ground.
Then he raised his big foot and began kicking Arthas's head repeatedly.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Crash!
That wasn't all. Rhodes knelt down on one knee, swung his fist, and began to smash it wildly at Arthas's head.
The ground of the Frozen Throne even cracked open, and Arthas's head was completely encased in ice. He even loosened his grip on Frostmourne, letting his sword fall to the ground.
He reached out and ripped off the Lich King's Crown of Domination, then threw it aside. After the Lich King's helmet was torn off, Arthas let out a heart-wrenching roar.
"Ah! Ah! No! Don't!"
The Lich King's Crown of Domination is the source of his entire power. Losing this crown is equivalent to losing the entire Scourge and all of the Lich King's power. He now only has the power of the Death Knights left.
As a Lich King, being stripped of the power of the Crown of Domination caused him immense pain, even a feeling that his soul was being torn apart.
"Is that all the strength you have? To be honest, I'm quite disappointed. With your level, you're called a demigod?"
"There's a saying that's really true: all your power comes from external forces, firstly from this sword, and secondly from this helmet. Now that you've lost both of those, you're nothing," Rhodes said, placing his foot on Arthas's head.
Let alone the Old God Yogg-Saron, even the Lich King Arthas's combat power was inferior to that of a typical Titan Guardian.
At this moment, Tirion Fordring, Uther, and a large group of carefully selected warriors brought to the Frozen Throne all stared wide-eyed at the scene before them.
What's going on with us? We've overcome countless hardships! We've passed the trial of champions, we've passed the trial of the Silver Northern Expedition.
After going through countless hardships to become a warrior to defeat the Lich King, is all that's left to watch a great demigod beat up the Lich King on the Frozen Throne?
Are you kidding me? Is Arthas really that weak? How on earth did he kill Uther, destroy the Kingdom of Lordaeron, and unleash the Scourge?!
It is said that the Lich King Arthas's power at that time was far less than it is now, because Arthas only had Frostmourne, but not the power of the Lich King.
Now that he possesses the power of the Lich King, everyone believes that Arthas's power is immense, even surpassing that of ordinary Dragon Aspects.
If Rod heard this, he would definitely answer their questions.
Although the Lich King is the final boss of Northrend, he was defeated by Tirion Fordring and a group of mortals, while Malygos, the Blue Dragonflight King, was personally defeated by the Red Dragon Queen and her forces.
The battle for Ulduar was accomplished by the mages and explorers of Dalaran, along with elite troops from the Horde and Alliance. However, the reason they were able to defeat the Old Gods was due to the strong assistance of several Titan Guardians.
The horned man who divided the gold did not defeat the guardians; he merely used certain methods to restore their consciousness and help them.
Even after the battle ended, these warriors who emerged from Ulduar were all affected to varying degrees by the power of the Old Gods, suffering from very serious aftereffects.
But who am I? I'm the man who single-handedly cleared Ulduar, and even Yogg-Saron, who escaped completely and regained his full strength, I can still beat him to a pulp.
With this guy's fighting ability, what a joke it is that he wants to provoke me?
"No, this is impossible. I cannot fail. I absolutely cannot be defeated." Arthas reached for his sword, wanting to continue resisting.
Rhodes snorted coldly, drew his fel greatsword World Destroyer, and slashed at Frostmourne.
Click!Click!
With the powerful divine power of Rhodes, the Destroyer cleaved Frostmourne into three pieces with a single strike.
At this moment, countless vengeful spirits burst forth from Frostmourne; they were all souls bound to the sword after being killed by it.
"Arthas, it's time to pay your debts."
"Arthas, you demon, look what you've done!"
“My son, I am the first victim of this sword, and now you must pay for it all.”
Countless souls rushed out, dragging Arthas into the sky and then frantically devouring his soul.
"Ah! Ah! No, don't come any closer, go away, go away!"
At this moment, the Lich King was in a terrible state. His entire body was being torn apart and pulverized. In a short while, Arthas collapsed to the ground, extremely weak. His strength was now extremely low, and the once abundant death power on his body began to slowly recede.
The king's spirit came before his son and sighed heavily.
Perhaps I put too much pressure on him, perhaps I shouldn't have made him a perfect prince, but the mistake has already been made and everything is irreversible.
"Father, is it all over?" Arthas asked his father, his voice weak and feeble.
"It's all over, my child!"
"No! Child! The CD will reset again next Thursday." Rhodes suddenly appeared and said to Arthas.
"You! All I see is darkness!" Arthas was a little confused as to why Rhodes would say something so joking at the last moment, but it didn't seem so bad.
Arthas's entire soul dissipated, but Rhodes had no intention of letting the prince's soul return to the Shadowlands and become the Jailer's possession. Instead, he used his power to imprison Arthas's soul.
All of this was done so secretly that no one present noticed anything unusual.
"King Terenas, I have failed you, I have failed the nation," Uther said, kneeling on one knee before King Terenas.
“You owe me nothing. It is our Menethil family that owes the entire Lordaeron. Now, seeing you still alive, seeing you and Tirion Fordring able to rally and lead an army to destroy my evil son, fills me with great comfort.”
“Your Majesty, Princess, Her Highness is still alive, and as you know, she had a child with a servant a long time ago. We will find that child and make him the new king,” Uther said.
Because of the appearance of the God of Light, a large number of Scarlet Crusaders also defected to the Argent Crusade.
Uther and Tirion Fordring also learned that Princess Menethil Calia of Lordaeron had a son.
"It seems the Holy Light has not abandoned our Menethil family! Uther, you must tell that child that our family has committed a grave mistake and has failed the people of this land."
If the people of this land are still willing to acknowledge our Menethil family, then let him become king and ensure that he brings blessings to this land.
"But if the people of this land are no longer willing to accept the rule of our Menethil family, then let this child grow up peacefully among the people!" King Terenas gave his final instructions, nodded to Uther and the others, and then his soul began to head towards the Shadowlands.
“I will, Your Majesty! But perhaps you will not find peace in the Shadowlands either,” Uther sighed and said.
He had been to the Shadowlands, so he knew what would happen to ordinary souls who arrived there.
"There must be a Lich King!" The old king's last words echoed throughout the space.
